Jair February (11) and his buddies, Ryan Fortuin and Abigail Schubert (both 12), make up Team Checkmate from Cape Town’s Booster Kids Robotics School. The trio built a chessboard for the blind. Thanks to their innovation, the trio were selected to represent South Africa at the 2024 Asia Pacific Open Championship, which took place in Australia in July.
