The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture Minister, Gayton McKenzie, will be launching the 2024 national Heritage Month programme on Thursday this week at the Freedom Park Heritage Site & Museum in Pretoria. This year’s national Heritage month is launched under the theme, “Celebrating the lives of our heroes and heroines who laid down their lives for our freedom”. The theme puts a spotlight on Resistance & Liberation Heritage Route Programme, and a focus on selfless struggle heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives for liberation.

SA to withdraw its troops from UN peacekeeping mission in the DRC

Today - we are joined by the inaugural chairperson and founding member of the Pan African Bar Association of South Africa (PABASA), the first African Bar of advocates. He has been the lead counsel in many prominent cases in South Africa. He was senior counsel for former president Jacob Zuma in his appearance in the Zondo Commission and other criminal matters. He was also counsel in the freedom songs case between Julius Malema, the ANC and the AfriForum. Most importantly, he is the author of the recently published book titled Odyssey of Liberation: A Memoir of a Rebel Advocate.
