Former Judge President of the Western Cape High Court, Dr John Hlophe has been barred from taking up a seat at the Judicial Service Commission. The Western Cape High Court handed down its judgment earlier today. You may recall that the Democratic Alliance led an urgent application brought by several advocacy groups to prevent Hlophe from serving on the JSC.
