Doctors without borders are calling on all stakeholders to ensure an equitable distribution of resources in the DRC as the country continues to see an increase in the spread of mpox. You may recall that last month the World Health Organisation declared the surge in mpox cases a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) due to rising infections in several countries, particularly in Africa. Since the beginning of the year, DRC has reported over 4,901 confirmed mpox cases, with more than 629 associated deaths.
