Tribal App: Redefining Relationships Beyond Swipes (New Spin on Dating)

View descriptionShare

Barnes and Leslie introduce the launch of a new dating and friendship app called Tribal, created by Rachel Harker. Unlike the superficial nature of current dating apps, Tribal is based on psychology and encourages deeper connections. The app uses a unique feature where users' photos are blurred for the first 72 hours of interaction, allowing people to connect without judgment based on looks. Rachel explains how users answer in-depth questions about their values, which are visually mapped, allowing them to find others with similar interests. While the app is still in its early stages, Rachel is excited to hear feedback and see it grow, especially in terms of community-building. She also discusses plans for expanding the friendship aspect, which may help users find meaningful connections beyond romantic interests. Tribal has launched in Australia, but it’s coming soon to the U.S., with a focus on user accessibility and affordability.
