The Morning X continues their segment, "Where Are They Now?," to check in on legendary 99X characters who brought joy (and chaos) to the airwaves. The segment begins with a call to the popular character Bertha, who would now be 116 years old. Listen to a vintage clip of Bertha getting confused while talking to Shirley Q Liquor—and find out the heartbreaking truth that Bertha died nearly 20 years ago, at the age of 98. The search continues for Shirley Q Liquor, who has undergone a radical transformation. Bob the Queen reveals she is now a religious zealot in Brownsville, Texas, where she works as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. The segment concludes on a somber note with the passing of beloved character Red the Cabbie in late 2022. They play a classic clip of Red's hilarious audition to become a QVC host.
