Relief may be on the way for Pennsylvanians dealing with medical debt, and another year, another call to legalize weed in Pa.

 An estimated one million Pennsylvanians hold some amount of medical debt from unpaid hospital bills or health charges. Governor Josh Shapiro is proposing to use state dollars to wipe out some of that debt. He's also renewing his call for lawmakers to legalize recreational marijuana. To help address maternal health disparities for Black, Hispanic, and indigenous communities in Pennsylvania, the state department of human services is expanding doula access.
