Pennsylvania propels Trump toward a return to power; Upset in the making in Pa.'s U.S. Senate race

View descriptionShare

Purple Pennsylvania turns red in 2024. Donald Trump is on the verge of clinching the presidency  after winning the commonwealth, putting him just three electoral votes shy of securing his return to the White House. (Today's episode was recorded before the race was called for the former president).

U.S. Senator Bob Casey may be Pennsylvania’s best-known politician -- but he has an uphill fight to earn a fourth term. Republican David McCormick led vote counting early this morning by about 100,000 votes, or two percent.

The race between incumbent Republican Congressman Scott Perry and Democratic challenger Janelle Stelson is too close to call.

Four other Republican congressmen in Central Pennsylvania have earned re-election.

Republicans will hold all three statewide row offices in January.
