Pa. needs more poll workers; Immigration debate lands in Lancaster County

View descriptionShare

Pennsylvania and many other states are facing a shortage of  poll workers ahead of the April 23rd primary and the November election. Governor Josh Shapiro’s plan to boost funding for public transportation systems has been approved by the state House. Home care workers that allow aging and disabled Pennsylvanians to live independently aren't paid that well. But, legislation has been proposed to change that. The debate over immigration is resonating in Lancaster County. People in the Philadelphia area had a chance to see a rare site — a battleship floating down the Delaware River. A central Pennsylvania county ranks number two in the state in number of cases of sexually transmitted diseases.
