About $70 million will be released to cities and counties across Pennsylvania this month, as part of latest distribution of settlement dollars from national lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and distributors. With deer hunting season underway, the state Game Commission has implemented new regulations to slow the spread of Chronic Wasting Disease. Former Pittsburgh Pirates manager Jim Leyland has been elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame. A 22-year-old cold case appears to have been solved in Berks County.
