Harris-Walz ticket makes Philadelphia its first campaign stop; Vance hits Philly too.

View descriptionShare

Vice President Kamala Harris and her newly-minted running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have jump started their seven-state campaign blitz with a stop in Philadelphia.

Governor Josh Shapiro may not be Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' pick for vice president, but he has vowed to help the ticket win Pennsylvania. He kicked off the first rally with Harris and Walz with a fiery speech.

So what comes next for the governor? Political analysts say they believe being part of the conversation for vice president will raise Shapiro’s national profile.

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance has also campaigned in Philadelphia. Supporters are optimistic about the Republican party’s chances in the Keystone State in November.

W.K. Kellogg is increasing production and investing in new infrastructure, equipment and technology at several plants -- including one in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.
