In an effort to offer meaningful data analysis on economies, regions, and sub-regions based on how they maximize their unique competences to generate long-term value creation for their citizens, the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking was developed. It uses real-world survey data along with statistics to enable benchmarking and reveal trends. The 2024 edition, which was published in June, offers thorough coverage of 67 international economies and is a global resource on economic competitiveness. Three new economies were added in 2024: Puerto Rico, Nigeria, and Ghana.
