A review of South Africa's electricity pricing policy will be initiated with the goal of addressing an increasing affordability "crisis" that is undermining electricity access for an increasing number of impoverished consumers. This announcement was made by  Electricity and Energy Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa  against the backdrop of protests in Johannesburg in response to the introduction of an R200 monthly surcharge on pre-paid customers to cover City Power's network cost.Energy Expert explains this further with Motheo Khoaripe.
