E-hailing drivers and operators are pleased that the modified National Land Transport Act 5 of 2009 has been signed into law, paving the way for the regulation of e-hailing services in South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the Act into law last week, ending a 13-year wait for the updated Bill and putting the regulation in line with digital economy advancements since its implementation.
