Stephen Grootes speaks to Jeanette Marais, Momentum Group CEO, about the group’s record financial performance for the year ended June 2026, with normalised headline earnings rising 13% to R7.06 billion and the group reaching its R7 billion Impact strategy earnings ambition a year ahead of target. The results were supported by stronger operational performance across the business, with five divisions each generating more than R1 billion in earnings and return on equity reaching 21.7%.

The Act was intended to create a more unified framework for government procurement and replace the country’s fragmented tender system, but the court found serious shortcomings in how the legislation and subsequent amendments were put before the public.
