Stephen Grootes speaks to Consumer Ninja, Wendy Knowler about ongoing complaints from Bonitas medical aid members, five months after the scheme switched administrators. Despite assurances that a backlog of nearly 10,000 cases had largely been cleared, members continue to report problems with medical authorisations and claims. In the latest case, a woman needing surgery for a badly broken wrist was allegedly told to negotiate a discount with the supplier of the plates and screws required for her operation.
