Welcome into the show today. Thank you for making this podcast a part of your day. This podcast is one hundred percent honest, one hundred percent of the time, and doesn't really care about your feelings. All right, So America, as America ever been more back or at least more entertaining. Donald Trump is now loved by a majority of not only people, but networks. ESPN during the National College football game last night cut to Donald Trump and a speech that he was giving about the National Championship game. Do you think that would have happened four years ago or eight years ago? Absolutely not. There's only two genders now, Thank the Lord. That is amazing. But let's talk about the Minnesota Vikings because this is a Minnesota Vikings podcast, and there is some big news that could drop really in the next day or two, and we gotta wait for one more shoe to drop and that news would be clinched. And the news revolves around coaching candidates on the Minnesota Vikings roster. So the Minnesota Vikings have their sensational fourteen and three season, and anytime a teams has a sensational fourteen and three season, teams are gonna come plucking for your coordinators. Teams are gonna come plucking for your QB coaches and make them offensive coordinators. There's a secret sace that comes with a good record, and teams try to apply that secret sauce their own organizations. So guys like Josh McCown, Brian Flores, even the quarterbacks coach, was getting interviews for head coaching jobs and offensive coordinator positions. But the good news for the Minnesota Vikings is that all of the teams that are looking for head coaching candidates, or at least a majority of them, are plucking away the coordinators from the Detroit Lions. Ben Johnson goes to the Chicago Bears. Looks like Aaron Glenn is going to sign with the New York Jets. The goal is to not let him escape the building. Today, reported by Ian Rappaport and Brian Flores went on interviews with multiple teams, the Jaguars, the Jets, the Bears, and all of those teams it appears, are going different directions, even the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was reported by Adam Schefter recently and it says this, I'll share this green with you, Jacksonville's head coaching search Jaguars are bringing in former Raiders d C. Patrick Graham, former Jets head coach Robert Sala, and Buccaneer's offensive coordinator Liam Cohen this week for in person second interviews. I'm not quite sure what the Jacksonville Jaguars are thinking on those first two situations.

The Raiders stink.

Why would you bring in their defensive coordinator Robert Sala. He might be eye, but he got fired from the Jets last year. Hard to blame him necessarily because the Jets organization is just straight up disaster. And the Buccaneers offensive coordinator, that would make sense, and that's probably who the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to hire as their next head coach based on his success with the Baker Mayfield this season.

But yeah, he's another hot head coaching candidate.

And you've got to re leave room for the Jaguars doing stupid Jaguars things by bringing in a Raiders defensive coordinator. So that's just you can't give the Jaguars too much credit for not being complete idiots. But the great news is that it appears Brian Flores is going to be bad as the Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator and going into this offseason, he was one of the hot head coaching candidates. You know, Brian Flores and the Chicago Bears. It just sounds like that makes sense. A tough, gritty nineteen eighty four, nineteen eighty five defense and whatever it was, and you bring in Brian Flores, it seems like the Chicago Bears and defense just makes sense. But they actually made a smart hire and brought in Ben Johnson. Now, I don't know if we need to be scared of Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears just yet. Let's see how this thing develops a little bit, but we'll see what happens. But Brian Flores and the Jets, they're going a different direction. With the Detroit Lions guy, Brian Flores and the Jaguars, they're going a completely different direction. He didn't even get brought in for a second interview, so, as it appears right now, a lot of the Brian Flores interviews from other football teams were to fulfill the Rooney Rule, which requires NFL teams to interview at least multiple black coaches to give them a fair opportunity at being their head coach. Now, we'll see if the NFL gets rid of these DEI policies because all around us, these DEI policies are crumbling. Major corporations, Walmart and a bunch of them.

I mean, they're just falling by the wayside.

I think Washington Post, a bunch of these major corporations are getting rid of these DEI policies. And it's one of those things that I think DEI policies is not what it's about. You hire the best person for the job, regardless of race or color or whatever it is.

So that's my opinion.

So it seems like it's great news for the Minnesota Vikings because Brian Flores if he does not sign a head coaching job with the last team that appears to be seeking one out the Las Vegas Raiders, who Tom Brady might have a relationship with because the Patriots connection.

So that's the last shoot.

To drop, and then Brian Flores would be back in Minnesota for another season as a defensive coordinator. So as big a bummer as it was for the Vikings to finish second in the NFC North, all the teams are coming for the Detroit Lions coordinators and they're skipping right over the Minnesota Vikings.

Once, so that's good news. And to get another draft.

To have all this free agency money to spend on defensive guys and offensive linemen, you would think that the Minnesota Vikings defense would be even better next year because you think about who they threw out there this year, and they've got experience, but they're also older Stefan Gilmour, Shack Griffin.

You've got cornerbacks.

That, like I said, have experienced, but are definitely not in their prime. And the depth at cornerback this season was pretty poor. You bring back Viron Murphy hopefully, but outside of him, abbyon Moreau, like, who are some of these guys? We saw Dwaite McLoughlin come in a couple of times as needed when guys went down with injuries. Who are these guys? And the Minnesota Vikings need to bring in much more depth this offseason to shure up the defensive side of the ball.

Had much more talents.

Because Harrison Smith might be gone, Cam Biningham he's an unrestricted free agent, so the Minnesota Vikings need to make a decision on him. There's a lot of decisions that need to be made defensively. The Minnesota Vikings have the money to do it. They still have a first round pick. They lost some of their mids because of the trade up last year for JJ McCarthy and Dallas Turner. But it's a good thing that Brian Flores will be back as the Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator. If the Las Vegas Raiders go in a different direction, now that's an if.

We don't know where the Raiders are at.

In this whole situation, but good hopefully they go somewhere else and the spectacular defensive scheme of Brian Flores is back in Minnesota for another season.

Because as.

Much as other teams don't want to bring him in as a head coach, maybe there's a whole lawsuit things still going on in the NFL and teams just want to completely avoid that distraction. I mean, if you had someone coming in for an interview for any job and they were suing your company for unfair practice, do you really want to bring that guy.

In as the head coach.

A coordinator is something different, there's not as much responsibility. But if he's suing your corporation, do you really want that guy to be the head decision maker of the organization in a major role.

Maybe that's what's the.

Maybe that's why teams are reconsidering hiring Brian Flores as the head coach of their football team. And as much success as he had with the Miami Dolphins, they're in their rebuild situation. And then I think they finished his last year strong, but they still miss the playoffs.

I think they were like one.

In eight and then they finished off like a six game winning strick, and then he got fired. They still missed the playoffs. He never made the playoffs with the Miami Dolphins. He had a twenty four and twenty five overall record with the team, so it's not like he was this unbelievable thirty and seven coach and just got fired.

Out of nowhere.

He hadn't made the playoffs in three years, and a three year run is about it for most NFL head coaches. Some guys are god after one year. So as much as Brian Flores wanted to sue the NFL for unfair practice against a black head coach, all the time guys get fired after a year or two, and.

He made it three.

So for that reason alone, he should be grateful that he made it three years with the Miami Dolphins without a playoff appearance. That's the way the NFL works. So if Minnesota Vikings want to reconsider how good a head coach Kevin O'Connell is after winning like thirty four games in three years, well, Brian Floores isn't good enough as a head coach twenty four to twenty five. And the good news is is that he will be back as the Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator. If the Las Vegas Raiders go a different direction, that's a big news. That's phenomenal news for the Minnesota Vikings. Thank you for watching this episode, and thank you for making this podcast a part of your day.
