Australasian construction giant Fulton Hogan has recovered from a rough 2025.
Annual revenue rose from $6.9 billion to $7.3 billion, while after-tax profit jumped from $365 million to $430 million.
Its profits are now evenly balanced between Australia and New Zealand.
Infrastructure NZ CEO Nick Leggett told Mike Hosking their success doesn't quite represent the entire construction sector, which is more of a mixed bag.
He says construction figures are showing stronger activity, but it's been very hard, and there are still design and engineering companies that are laying people off.
