Mark Smith: ASB Chief Economist on their expectation GDP will grow 0.3% in the June quarter despite the Middle East war

View descriptionShare

Stats NZ is releasing June's GDP data later this morning, with most economists predicting growth will come in between 0.1% and 0.3% for the quarter.

Farming, manufacturing, and exporting activity have been improving.

He says the economy started the year with a reasonable degree of momentum, which has carried through to quarter two.
