The Hurricanes boss has expressed disappointment with the rugby team's HQ over the women's side's controversial anti-government haka.
The team amended the words to use the phrase “karetao o te Kā-wana kaki-whero” or “puppets of this redneck Government”.
The Hurricanes plan to apologise.
Hurricanes Chief Executive Avan Lee told Mike Hosking that he's disappointed with the process and the words that were used.
He says he wasn't aware of anything in the pipeline, and there was no discussion or consultation.
