Former state president Kgalema Motlanthe will be on the ANC campaign trail in Diepkloof, Johannesburg. Motlanthe joins Thabo Mbeki as the latest former president to campaign for the ANC in the hotly contested Gauteng province. I’ll profile Anele Mda, Sesing Ramotswabodi, and Tshepo Mogano. The matter returns to court; chances are the court will issue a judgment after closing arguments on whether or not the group must be given bail. Defence attorneys will try to punch holes in the State's case as the trial against alleged underworld kingpin Nafiz Modack continues in the Western Cape High Court today (Thursday). Modack and his fourteen co-accused face 124 charges related to various crimes -- including the murder of top cop Charl Kinnear.
