In 2019, Hussein led a joint venture that acquired SPC in Australia. Under his leadership as chairman, SPC Global went from a 15-year financial loss to profitable results within eighteen months. 

SPC Global is an Australian-based global agribusiness specialising in food manufacturing, extensive fruit processing and packing. It owns and operates a factory in Shepparton and is one of the biggest employers in the Goulburn Valley region.
