Jimmy is the kind of person who makes a football club better simply by being around it. An incredibly experienced player, a fantastic mate and, most importantly, a genuinely caring person, he has built his football around the things that matter most; culture, mateship, respect and sportsmanship.
As captain, Jimmy has played a huge role in leading the Dockers through the 2026 season, with the side now preparing for finals in the coming weeks. But beyond the results and the football, it’s his commitment to the people around him that really stands out.
Whether it’s supporting a teammate, building a strong club culture or simply making sure everyone feels included, Jimmy leads with the kind of attitude that makes him incredibly easy to respect. He is, without a doubt, one of the great characters in the league.
Recorded inside the Lake Macquarie Dockers clubhouse, this was a fantastic conversation with a player who has seen plenty of football, experienced plenty of ups and downs, and still brings the same passion for his teammates and his club every week.
This is Jimmy Seidel on The Mark and The Mic!
