As we mark the third anniversary of the devastating October 7th attacks, a somber reflection on the state of anti-Semitism in the US and around the world is long overdue. This episode delves into the disturbing trend of equating Israel with Hamas, and the alarming rise of anti-Semitic rhetoric in mainstream politics. Join Rabbi Jonathan Hausman of Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton, Massachusetts, and retired Boston Police Sergeant Mike Fish as they share their insights on the current state of anti-Semitism and the importance of security measures in Jewish communities.

The conversation touches on the recent comments made by prominent politicians, including New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and US Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, who have equated Israel's actions with those of Hamas. The speakers also discuss the need for increased security measures in Jewish communities, including the use of tactical gear and armed congregants. Rabbi Hausman shares his congregation's approach to security, which includes a visual presence, cameras, and a system for identifying potential threats. Mike Fish, who provides security for several synagogues, emphasizes the importance of building relationships with local police departments and training congregants in security protocols.
