Over the off season period the AFL Hunter Central Coast came to a decision that the 2026 season will see the reintroduction of the Black Diamond Men’s Shield competition following a short hiatus. The return of the Shield competition allows for clubs to introduce new players to the game, but also offers an competitive atmosphere for developing footballers.
