ON THE SHOW TODAY:
Follow us on @kyleandjackieo for more!
Kyle, Jackie.
On Jackie the Kyle and Jackie OW.
Good morning, guys.
I was off today due to IDOL. We got coops filling in and Brooklyn's here as well.
Yeah, hey Cooper, Hey, don't sound too excited, guys, I'm excited.
Tone sounded not excited.
Hey, Well, yeah, we miss Kyle that we power on. We power you today, Jackie. I'm good day yesterday.
Big day yesterday. Yeah, felt like a bit of a blur actually, because.
Basically as soon as you left the building there was paparazzi everywhere outside.
How was that?
Yeah?
That was fine. Like, I just went about my day as normal. I had a busy day yesterday.
I reached out to you and said, oh, if you want someone to come over and chat, I'm here. Basically, I just wanted to pick your brain and like ask you so many questions. I have just been thinking about just that the past twenty four hours.
And it's the thing like for me, I haven't obviously talked about it before and to anyone, only a few people, And so for me, it's like two years ago I came out of rehab, and so for me, it's like, oh yeah, my life is carried on as normal, Like you know, it's never over, it's never completely fixed, it's always there. But in my day to day life, it's just, you know, I've just sort of dealt with that.
It's news for a lot of people in the world. What was the response from a lot of friends and family?
Yes, I got you know, that was the lovely thing.
I want to thank every listener out there who's left messages and written comments on the posts we did, and I am getting getting to that over the weekend. I want to respond to a lot of people, so I will. But the support was just really nice, really nice to read. It was because you know, I didn't know how it would go. I didn't know how it be received. So I want to thank those people who did reach out or left a comment. And then there were people who, yeah, obviously in my life who were like, wait a minute, what what I was? Or people I haven't spoken to for a while but were with me during that period might have worked with me and we're completely unaware that, you know, I was going through that addiction during that that period.
There's all these little moments that I look back on now and I think like I'm looking at them differently of my interactions with you and stories you've told, like when you had your little who incident.
Yeah, I.
Wasn't. I wasn't off chops to the point where I was just shitting myself on the street. Use it as the excuse, Jack, but I think I do think you know how I had like the ibs during that period. I reckon it was once I got help. Yeah, you don't have it now, it went away.
Probably was due in.
Some point that stuff maybe, but yeah, it was, it was, It was. It was just nice actually, And I heard from your dad as well. Oops, yeah, Maddie. Maddie sent me a message just saying how where he was listening and then he got so emotional and he didn't even cry in toy story, So he was quite surprised at how emotional he got. But it was a lovely message from him and and so many other people. But yeah, yesterday I just I went and had lunch with Gemma because she was here during it. So we popped in and had lunch, and then I came home and had a nice bath, and then I had my friend Pip come over last night and we got into all the you know, deep chats and Drew Tarot cards and gon for crystals out a real girl's night, you know.
Yeah, your new addiction.
Yeah, a new addiction it is.
How was how was Kitty?
Yeah, she's Kitty is great, Like obviously she's known about this for maybe it was about well, it was well before I decided to do the book, because the reason I did the book was to share this. So I either because I've been asked to do a book before and obviously didn't want to do a book because I knew I had this thing, you know, and I hadn't fixed it or dealt with it, and so I thought, well, I'm not going to do a book when I've got this going on in my life, Like that's kind of not worth doing a book unless you're going to be completely honest about everything I think in your life. So I always sort of knew, oh, I can't do a book, a biography on my life if I'm leaving out this huge thing. And then eventually, when I decided to share this story because you know, I wanted to get that message out there, I thought, well, I will do a book and that will be the reason why, so I can properly tell the story so that anyone else out there who's going through it. And I've been amazed at how many people have messaged me that are in similar situations to what I.
Was, So like women, women mums.
Like the divorce is a big thing, and how many women go through that and turn to certain things that aren't really healthy for you. And yeah, so that was why, because I wanted to tell the story properly and so that they could read that and understand how what it was like going to rehab, because I think that's so scary for a lot of people. And going to rehab was literally like one of the it was the best of times and the worst of times. So it was the hardest thing, but it's also the most amazing experience for me.
See, that's what I wanted to ask you, is what happens in rehab? But then I'm assuming this is all in the book.
That's the thing. It takes so much time to kind of like go through all of that, and so I do explain what happens every day and rehab what you do? You know, I think that can be sometimes a bit of a mystery. What are those AA meetings like or NA meetings like? What happens? And yeah, we see them on TV shows and in movies, but what really kind of happen have.
You been doing those since coming back?
So that again I will talk about all that.
But yeah, because that's.
Someone today like how you obviously went off did rehab and then you've been great ever since. And they're like, how did it? How did it all turn around for her so quickly? And I was like, well, I don't know. I only found out yesterday, But I said, you've got such an addictive personality that you probably just got addicted to be sober.
He knows me, he knows me. Well when you go I when I lean in, I lean in all the way I do. Like I think that helped me actually that part of my personality because I really leant into it. So yeah, anyway, So and it's funny because I think the yesterday when I told the or shared my story, they cut up a video and obviously you know, that whole thing went on for thirty minutes, so it had to be a bit choppy, you know. And so it went from like me talking past tense to then reading that excerpt of the book which was in current tense. And I think there's a lot so there was a lot of people even people I know who were saying, oh, you know you're going to be okay and rehab. Look, this is what you need to expect, that kind of thing.
And so I think there's a z.
Actually Australia thinks you are entering today.
I'm about to enter. So that that happened two years ago.
And yeah, I sent a comment.
There was a there was a video of you driving out of the building here at ARN and there was people commenting on it, going should she really be driving?
Should she really be driving?
Out of the influence And people were going, if you listen to the interview, she's talking something from two.
Two years ago. Yeah, yeah, oh that's funny. But thank you. And like I said, I will definitely spend the weekend trying to get back to everyone that that did message. But I really really appreciate that support. I can't tell you how much that means to me, to anyone who's message through. And guess what, guys, Mayo's bag.
Mayo's back.
Mayo.
The listeners have missed you so much and you're back on board after spending eight months off with the with maternity.
Leave ten months ten Yes, I missed you, guys.
It feels so weird.
I feel like a new like figuring everything out because I ever.
Worked in the new We're in a new building since you left.
What do you think of the new building versus the old one?
I feel like it's a it's a little too fancy.
Yeah, us, but it's all right. Well we could work for He felt like when we moved over here, it felt like we've gone from wearing comfortable ug boots to wearing stilettos. It was beautiful, looked great, but felt a bit uncomfortable. Just had like old lounges and everything was just easy and comfortable.
And we broadcast into Melbourne. Now Mayo, so Melbourne wouldn't know much about.
Okay, that's so true Mayo is Kyle calls Mayo, what does he call you?
Just an average girl in my average world?
Yeah? Yeah, he thinks that because he thinks she's just average in life in every way. He thinks she shops are k much, she's average looking, nothing great happens.
She's just the average all round.
But Mayo is like the sweetest.
Person yeah, and so beautiful.
Also she will give it back to Kyle. She's like super sweet but also not afraid to give it back, and I think that's why everyone loves her so much. But also she can say ditzy things as well, and we love her for that.
Yes, and I love living my average girl life like I was living it to the max on Matt Leave. Like, I'm surprised I put a bit of effort in today. I gotta be honest, put some makeup on. Did my legs they were grown a bit long? Like I just yeah, now I'm back.
I'm back.
You are back. You look good too, Mayo think very fit.
But I do love being a mom. Yep, I need to say that.
Yeah, yeah, I know.
And Mayo for everyone is the one who squirted breast milk on my balcony.
Yeah, yeah, that's correct.
Yes, all the milk's gone. Just if you're to think if I tried to squeeze it it might come out still, but it might.
Yeah, I will be a segment later, get that.
We'll get that on later.
Hey, have you been listening to the show the last ten months? Yes?
I actually did, apart from and I'm sorry to say this, but I wasn't a six o'clock up only because I was up all night. I started from like six thirty.
Oh that still counts as a six year.
But then i'd listen. I think I didn't miss one show.
I got to say, Oh wow, have you got feedback for us?
Is there anything especially for Cooper?
Yeah?
I wrote a few notes actually recently, but this is only very recent, so like in the past week.
Okay, don't mean to read him. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, would you write notes?
Sorry?
Sorry?
Sorry, okay, So I first one, they're more just like what moments, So I didn't really elaborate too much, but I just wrote Pedro stormed out?
Yes, yes, okay, so Pedro he left.
He had an argument and stormed out, and he said, I'm not coming back. It was due to keep going for another week, but he just left and that was it. You know what Pedro's like. He lets his emotions get to him sometimes he does. It's like when you said, when you told him the news that you were pregnant and you were so happy, what did he do again?
He didn't talk to me the whole day.
He actually couldn't even look.
Me in the eye.
And then he felt so bad later he cried and said, sorry, why.
Couldn't he look at you in the eye Because you knew you were going to he.
Was so angry she would be going on Matt leave. No, but Joe just can't handle his emotion. He doesn't know how.
To wears his heart on his sleep.
Yeah he does, he does, he means well. Yeah.
And then my next point, Oh, this is actually relating to you guys, which I have to address.
Oopah and I.
Yes, admitting you add sexual tension?
What is that?
Hang on?
I believe the word was sexual chemistry.
Yes, no, The question on the text message was what's with the sexual tension? And You're both like, oh, yeah, there is that, And I'm like, what he's going on you?
But that's between you.
And I'll sense it out today.
Get back to us on that.
I'll get back to you.
Yeah.
Well we get a lot of We get a lot on the text line. Did last Misfits show was Wednesday? And we were getting so many text messages about it?
Yes?
Yeah, yeah, I love the text line actual, yeah, it's really interesting.
Yeah.
Next one, oh this is to Kyle. It was more bringing the potato head what's his name was Peter d Yeah, dundon in and then saying he's voting liberals and I just was gobsmacked a bit because I thought he was best.
He's with elbow.
That was just to everyone.
Yeah, yep, but I guess we'll never know.
It's not really feedback.
Yeah, yeah, it's more what moment.
It's a more what moment?
Just keep reading your list.
Peter crying because no, friends, I wrote that as.
A Pete still in the UK on.
A flight, Yeah, all through yesterday and the yeah, we're t to him in a sack.
Actually so we can ask about that. And then oh, Locky now a censor? What that's all I wrote?
So Lockeye's gone from being the panel operator there in Melbourne and he's now trialing out to be the censor of the show.
Now no one really thought this part through.
But you know how Locke takes a couple of seconds to process your question or any information reboots read boots every time.
That's not good when you have to be quick on your finger.
Yes, because except that when I tried doing the sensor thing earlier in the week, I was actually a little bit too quick and was beeping things out before they needed to be beeped out.
Oh so you were like pre empty do.
You were just doing a little bit overcautious.
Is that why we're getting messages about the numerous beeps problem moment.
Hey, missy head, censor, what because he's back in Melbourne. Now, how did he go during the week on the trial?
He did surprisingly well.
Okay, that's good.
Does that mean he's getting the job to be determined? No that doesn't sound great.
No, that doesn't. You don't sound like you like Lockie. Actually I had a late night.
Guys, what are you doing?
Did you have sex last night? No, Sensor, I did, Yeah, how to go?
It went very well?
What did you do? What did you do?
Yes?
Feel free to open up.
Yeah you say lucky slow.
On there, Yeah, but so slow, censor.
We very much enjoyed ourselves.
Well you animals coming into work the next morning as well.
Oh and that's it, Mayo, that's your what moments?
Yeah, then there was obviously you yesterday that.
Yeah.
I love you so much, Jackson. I'm so proud of you. And yeah, I'm sad I wasn't here for yesterday, but I'm back out here.
But you're back, you're back now, and we love that.
So today they're going to decide whether to give the Menendez brothers a retrial. At seven point thirty this morning, our time, we will find out if there will be a retrial for a re sentencing that's going to be which is going to be good. And then we're also speaking to one of the jurors this morning, the original Dura from the first trial, which was the big trial. Yeah, so I think she believes that, you know, they should be set free now. So it's going to be big morning. If you're into the Menendez brothers, we've got you covered there For Halloween. I want to ask your thoughts on this. It's coming up next week.
I went to a Halloween thing last night.
Actually already.
It's getting so big in this country, isn't it? Every year it gets just a bit bigger and a bit bigger. And I like to because on that Thursday, I want to dress up. It's Thursday, right, next Thursday? Is what's happening? We're all dressing up on that day?
Yes?
And I like to go as pop culture moments. I don't want to do a nurse or a witch or the traditional. I like to go current pop culture, something that's trending.
What are you thinking?
I want to ask your thoughts on I feel like it's okay to dresses a Menendez brother, right, but with the gun. Is that fine? Or is that not? Okay?
Is the shotgun too far?
That's what I'm wondering. But if I don't have the shotgun, who am I still? Guy in Apolo Ralph Lorento with a wig. I don't think people know I'm a Menendez brother.
Well, if you tell them, you'll figure they'll figure it out.
I don't think it's good if you have to tell someone who you are.
You told me we were going to go together. Yeah, we both have the guns. So when there's two people there, both holding shotguns.
Yeah, well I don't think you both need guns. They didn't both have guns in the didn't they? Did they have both have guns?
They did?
Yeah?
Okay, yeah they both had them.
Jackie and Cooper could maybe it's sorry.
I have a suggestion for you, Jackie, you know, like the pop culture kind of relevant references. Yeah this may be a bit too soon, but could you go as Jackie from two years ago?
Oh that'd be fun.
Oh my god, I be freaking gruzified. But what would that even look like?
Yeah?
How do you ass.
For it?
Still? Not the glass of wine?
To put some weight on too?
Yeah, I have to get the extra padding.
No, I think Menandez brothers.
Okay, yeah, I think Didt. He's probably maybe fact you can't do Didty.
I'm going to say that right off the bat, I return my cotugne. Now could you go? Is now this is the other side of it with the Menandez brothers. Is it more insensitive to go as the mother because I've got the blonde pair. I feel I could pull that off. But then I don't know, is it? Is it worse dressing up as somebody who died?
You know, I'm less interested in being the mother, right, Okay, if you're going to do it, you may as well do it, right.
Yeah, Okay, all right, all right, let's go for it, Brooklyn.
Which one of us is the bald one?
Well, see, here's the thing. What I wanted to do for the costume was get a wig that had a balding crown on it and then put the two pay over the top and so that if anyone asks who I am, I'll rip off the two pay and go on a Menendez brother. But then the wig arrived and it was the dumbest wig you've ever seen. The hair went all the way around like it had a fringe. Yeah, and I've tried to find one that just is the crown, you know, no hair at the front of the sides. It doesn't exist.
Yeah, that'd be very hard.
It is hard.
Who's ever gone bald with just the fringe still remaining?
It's a fringe. It's a whole circle around the head of hair, like a like a headband of It's called a monk wig. It doesn't work for this at all.
Yeah, it looks like a halo.
Yeah, exactly, it doesn't work.
Yeah, that doesn't work.
I'll go as the short Menendez and you goy's the cute one.
See, I don't agree with that. I think the bloke with the wig is the hot one.
So on TikTok. He is the hot one. He's the one they all love, all right, But I think the would it be a current Eric? Is Eric the taller one, the taller one, Yeah, the younger one. I personally think he's the beautiful one.
He's so hot that the only problem you've got is that when he talks, he's super gay, so good.
Oh that's you know, he was a little I gotta say. But yeah, anyway, that's that. Oh, let's do a test real quick before we start trading. Verse, lady.
Yeah.
Researchers have found that the amount of time someone's able to balance on one foot indicates your health. So the average fifty year old is able to balance for roughly nine seconds on one foot with the eyes closed, by the way, whereas the average eighty year old is nearing three seconds. So it decreases over the years. So if you're able to be on one leg with your eyes closed for ten seconds, you should be in good health, regardless of your age.
So if if I can't do ten seconds, what does that mean I've got hell disease?
Or no, it doesn't mean you've got disease. It just means that you've got really bad bone, muscle and nerve health.
Oh god, So do you want to try?
Yeah? Are you going to do it as well?
Yeah? Well you go first, all right, you'd expect Cooper to be five.
Yeah, my body through the ringer this whole year, so.
And yesterday, boat, yesterday or the year you're.
Not playing football, body goes to year?
Seriously?
All right? Ready to close your eyes one leg? Ready?
One to sixty seconds sixty Sorry, I was trying to find a clock story.
As anyone sounding you're really unsteady.
There, coops, I've got I've had a lot of ankle injuries in my time. Give me sorry, guys, being a professional athlete, my body is not what it used to be because I used to put my body on the line every week for my team, for our entertainment, for your guys entertainment.
Even though no one here has ever watched the game, I just to play.
You've ever seen you play football?
By the way, thanks for your continuing.
We were people give you a hard time. But were you bad or not?
I was? I was pretty good.
You made the team, so you must be all right.
You're starting team every week?
No, not every week?
Were you sometimes not chosen to play a game?
Yeah?
How often does that happen to players all the time?
Oh?
Does it?
Yeah?
Yeah?
See these are like for the whole game, though, don't they Don't You get put on at certain points?
Yeah, you get put on at different times.
And were there times you just didn't give it?
Yeah?
In our game, there's only seventeen people picked every week out of a squad of thirty.
So sometimes, oh that's a lie.
I've got some footage of Cooper playing on the screen.
You are, Oh you look about that's you?
Oh you look good. You're a machine.
Yeah, I know, I'm an animal.
But is that a YouTube highlight of your best moment on the highlight?
Well, they're not going to put bad moments.
Oh that's good.
You scored goals.
They're called trots, Jackie. Jesus Christ. Hey, can I ask a question?
When you score a try, it looks like you belly flop onto the grass.
Does that hurt?
Sometimes if you land on the ball, it can win you.
Oh.
One of my mates like did like a huge swan dive, like dove really high trying to celebrate, landed on it and.
Broke like four ribs.
Oh my god.
It was so embarrassing because I had to stop the game and everyone was just stretch it off.
Oh no, because of his own thing, Like it wasn't someone else. He did it to himself. Yes, Oh that's kind of embarrassing.
Yeah, it was very embarrassing for everyone involved, fans and everything.
You guys get really knocked about out there.
Yeah yeah yeah.
Why are your highlights at stadiums with like no crowd?
Yeah it looks like a school field, Like, it doesn't look like you're playing a professional game, Jackie.
It's just just just let it go.
In the audience at least sixteen year old highlights. What it is, It's the only highlights of yours I could find.
Yeah, that's fine.
Let's kick off the show. We're doing trady Verse Lady. We're looking for a lady and a trade and you will get a double pass to see Coldplay live in concert on thirteen and one oh sixty five.
Let's hit a DJ Triple Excel with the Kiss Mini Mix. He's live at our sister station, Kiss La DJ Triple Excel with the Kiss Mini Mix on the Kyle and jack Gios Show.
You Got Jackie and Cooper John's this morning, Ladies, Let's.
I want to start and playing for a double pass to see Coldplay live.
Time for trady Verse lady.
Yeah, let me introduce you to Crystal. Guys, she's thirty eight playing to the ladies. Hi Crystal, Hey, Crystal, Hi, six o'clock, six o'clock, Love you. She works as a teacher and drives a keya EC nine. Do you know what that is?
That electric car? Yes?
For your electric ev.
EV EV nine. Okay, and you've been married for nine years, but you've been with him for twenty years. That's amazing twenty years so since you were eighteen.
That's right.
Yeah, that's cool.
Christ.
We've had a theory on this show a couple of times where people that have been together for such a long time at a young age, the spark eventually dies and the relationship ends up crumbling.
Conversations.
So maybe that's just my thoughts. Is that happening with you or you're very happy?
No, we're very happy.
I would say the opposite actually, because we grew into adults together and I think, you know, we're best friends.
So yeah, that's like Mayo, she's done the same thing. One man, married him, had a baby, and you're happy, right, Mayo? So happy? Yeah, so another one. I do think childhood sweethearts tend to work out a lot of the time. I don't know why you told. I think I worried. I did worry that later on one of them would end up going, oh, what else is out there? Yes?
Is that if they haven't slept with anyone else?
Yes?
Yes, maybe if you never find out what's out there, it's the way to go. Yeah, you just don't think there's anything good.
That's right. You don't know what you're missing.
Yeah, you live in like an thaive world.
Yeah, a naive girl in a naive world. And also Crystal's kind of psychic. She can always predict where the empty car spot is in a shopping center. That's handy.
So it all started about fifteen years ago when I was working at a shopping center and I would compete with the customers driving around and around around, could not find anywhere. I was always late to work. So I just started imagining, like the best spot right next to the lift or right next to the stairs and the doors. And then it just started to every day come true. So I was like manifesting this spot that it would happen every time. Yeah, and now me and my husband we swap seats and I drive into the park, into the car park because I know that I'm going.
To get the best spot.
Yeah, that's what I do. Yeah, yep, yep, I know. I don't know what it is about. Like parking angels say there if you believe it, they're there for you.
I've got a thing, it's called the parking Fairies.
Where you open your glove box when you need a park Yeah, and the glovebox aries come out.
Q Cooper, Well, it's a bit underhing't.
Am I crazy?
But once you find the park, you have to eat the fairies.
Oh okay, that's sweat.
And then like you got to eat them, and then they when you shut the glove box, they start to regenerate for the next time you need.
Where did you learn that?
Someone taught it to me? I can't remember who taught it to me, Like a parent or no, No, it was like a mate. They said. I was looking for ages for a park and they said.
Let the Is it when you got into someone's random car for like a couple of minutes and then got out again?
Yeah, it was I think it was the mister whippie driver from my straight They said, let the parking fairies out, and then we did it and I found a park straight away and then ever since then, it's like, can I.
Ask, once you get your park, how do you eat the fairies? What do you actually do? Do you imagine? Imagine you're eating them.
Imagine them and chee chew them and everything? Yeah, yeah, you imagine.
That's the part I'm struggling with, Like why you have to eat them and then they have to reject? Why don't you just close let them back in the glove.
Box, Jackie.
I don't ask you about your actual physics staff in your star signs, and shit.
Just happens.
It just happens that way. Weighing in at sixty kilos, It's charger under the moonlight? Crystal everybody, have you got your crystals?
Do you charge them under the moonlight? Do you do that sort of stuff? Just the manifest just the manifesting.
I think now I'm going to have to start chewing fairies.
Yeah, it will take my thing.
Jordan.
He's twenty two. He's a laborer and drives a super roof forester.
Good morning Jordan, he coops.
Hey Jackie, how go good Jackie? Big love from all the tradees.
No, thank you so much, Jordan, love you?
Oh are you?
Flirt? Single and ready to mingle as well.
He's never been on a date, struggles with dating apps and doesn't know how to get from talking to the person to actually.
Asking the interesting So how long you don't you don't go in for the like, Hey, to be nice and we should catch up for a drink on the dating app.
H I feel like just gets spooks when you ask him on dates, Like they feel like they're just going to get like you know, Ted Bundy or something.
Ah, right, you maybe going in too soon with that question, like maybe I do.
Not like the whole just like talking.
I think that's yeah. I agree, I'm like notless.
It's just hard. Like I don't say.
Yeah, oh, good luck out there, Jordan.
Yeah, very much.
It is.
It's a concrete It is good, like a favorite sex position is the standard missionary that's always good, just when she's on the bottom and.
You're on the top.
Lost the tip of his finger while parking a boat and now his friends called him stumpy.
Oh was that because it got wedged in between like the wharf and the boat or something like that.
Yeah, a wave just pushed it up real quick and I just got caught the wrong clothes.
And it actually you lost it, yeah.
Just like like pins the end of my finger.
That's hardcore.
Wow.
Weighing it at one hundred and two kilos. Holy shit, he's a big boy. It's big cock stump fingers.
Jordan, how do you know?
What do you who have come up with that nickname? Where does the big cock?
Guys? I wrote that, but I've got the I think I might have missed a word.
I think I was supposed to write it's big cock. Oh wait, it's big cock, but stumpy fingers Jordan, But.
Where did you get that he has the big cock from?
Oh he told me how to big cock.
Oh you didn't put that on the screen.
She's he could have elaborated.
Sorry.
And also the new motto is more fun less filmed. Yeah that's right. Yes, so maybe just stumpy fingers.
Next time, John, and I'll start with you.
Here we go. Question which designer brann is known for having red soled shoes?
Is it Gucci?
No, Christian Obton? Yeah, well that's hard.
I don't even ever even heard.
Haven't you heard of the Christian Liberton?
Yeah?
Sounds like a sounds like a sex thing, lubradont.
I've never thought of that before.
No, it's like, yeah, the red soles shoes.
You must know of.
Those, right, I never never never seen them, never heard of them.
Oh wow, yeah?
God?
Yeah, Okay, you really are a man, aren't you. Yeah?
A man's man, A man's man, all right.
Question number two, what is the purpose of using a mesh laundry bag?
A mess laundry bag? H could be helpful?
Yes.
Four, let's say to like let your close air out.
Oh no, it's actually you put it in the wash and you put your undies in there and your delegates, and it protects them from getting wrecked in the washing machine. So it can protect to do with it.
Yeah, yeah, shoes in it too, I think so, yeah?
Yeah, okay, all right?
Last one?
What does c C stand for? When talking about c C cream?
It's hard?
This is rough today.
She's that big brain of yours.
Jordan, what could it stand for? C C cream? Yep, Jordan, it was color corrector I know that one's half? Yeah, sorry about that?
All right, let's go to Crystal.
Right you ready?
Yes, I'm ready.
Describe what a duplex nail is?
Duplex nail?
Would it have two heads on it?
Correct? Wow?
Pic dress up for the girls and I felt.
Out for the girl.
Yeah, you got yourself a double pass girl to see Whole play live in concert. You've got yours free. Everyone wants those hot tickets. The ladies are now on eighty four points and the trades are on seventy four points. Out the wetter, the wetter, the wetter.
Still haven't learnt the words I see. Girls.
No, we don't need to sing along with ours.
It's not going to do this sing along.
No, it's so good. What do you think of the new song Mayo?
I just said, I love it?
Isn't it great?
Can't sing to that?
It will sound weird?
No, I agree, I.
Think we just it's a standalone.
The whole time you were like, we need a song that wee can sit along.
Yeah, you get the song and then you go, no, we don't need to sing along to this.
We don't.
It's that good. I think it Trump's your trading song.
You've got to be kidding yourself, don't you.
No, I'm not joking. I've brought much rather key ours than joking. I'm so over yours. It's getting like tiresome long in the tier.
You're going to hate your song in another week. I guarantee it.
I know. Guys, we're going to do your first calluse if you want to phone in on thirteen one oh six.
Far Jaggio.
That was the computer being slow.
Not's okay. I don't blame you a thing.
Sometimes a nice awkward pause is good. Great, Yeah, sounds.
Like on radio it sounds slick. Inter Pete has not been here for the last twenty four hours. He was on a flight to London because he's hanging out with all the Hay You crew, which means that is Andy Cohen, Real Housewives, all those kind of shows below deck, that that that sort of thing, and we've got him up on zoom now to check in with him.
Hi, Peter, Peter, Hello, good morning.
How are you guys? I missed you all so much. By the way, thanks for having me on the program again.
I love it.
It's okay, Peter. What's been happening, No, not.
Too much, so just land in London only a couple of hours ago, so you've done that.
Thing so well. No, nothing, it's nothing. A lot to report, but no.
I also wanted to check in as well because I want to let you know what I'm going to be the next couple of days.
So I'm catching up with Andy Cohen.
I'm also going to catch up with Lisa Barlow as well and all the rest of the which is great.
Who's Lisa Barlow?
Lisa Barlow is one of the Real Housewives of Selt Lake City. We spoke to Whitney and in studio.
Ah, that's one I don't watch.
It's so great.
I've heard it's one of the best ones though for drama.
Yeah, well I told you told, hey, you that you watch all of them?
So is that how you got the free treat?
Little Captain Sandy's here as well? All of them.
I love Captain Sandy.
Yeah, you love all of them.
So I don't Yeah, I just want to say yeah, like good luck to everyone. And the noise this morning, which would be good because I recod go off any day.
The noise went on yesterday, but you've missed twenty four hours.
You don't know what happened.
It was the noise went off.
Not he doesn't know anything, guys.
Yeah, so the noise went off, and then there was some other night, there was some other and was what was.
What was the noise?
The noise that stick was no it was sticking a thumb tack into a noticeboard, like sticking like you know that the pin into a noticeboard.
Oh that's too hot.
It wasn't that hard.
We had so many people guessing, I think.
Yeah really, oh my god, Okay, okay, so that's yes, we're getting a new noise.
What are we doing?
And so then I also talked about something yesterday.
As well, Pete, Yeah, you missed a bit of a moment.
Pete Oh was that about after I I'm so sorry about breaking down on here the other day.
We've forgotten about that.
We've moved on from that moment.
You've lost the limelight, the pete that that limelight has sailed on you.
Yeah.
Yeah, yesterday I talked about how I have had a drug addiction Peter and went to rehab.
What sort of what?
What?
What sort of drugs? Sorry?
Sorry?
What sort of drugs?
Are you?
Okay?
I'm fine now.
It was two years ago. I'm fine now. It was painkillers and sleeping pills.
Oh god, are you okay?
Yeah? Fine now, yeah, I'm fine now. I went through all this yesterday. I can't relive it all again just for you.
On the phone.
Like how long did you talk about it on air? Force?
Was?
It was a while?
Like it went for a.
Wow?
Are you okay?
Yeah?
Like yeah, I'm fine now yeah.
Yeah. Like I said, I'm like three weeks away from me two years so I'm good. I'm good. Yeah, it's always.
There, Okay, amazing. Wow, that's really that's that's forget what I've got to talk about. I had a couple of things I was going to.
Say, but what did you have? I'd be interested to know too.
I ran into in London today and she's actually asked if she could help out on the show this over the weekend when I get all the Hay stars.
Yeah.
Do you guys know Colleen from sales.
Yes, of course Colleen from sales. I caught up with her from London. Yeah.
I saw her.
Today for a very very brief moment and she's offered to help me out on the red carpet.
Oh, I love that that.
Hey, GBS, were you ever around when Colleen from sales was here?
No?
Never.
Oh she's South African and she was like the number one salesperson here. It kiss and then she left under suspicious circumstances because she's a bit shady at the same time.
What suspicious circumstances?
What was it?
She became a lesbians suspicion.
I know, but it was it was like something she had she was I don't know.
I think she had to.
Leave the country like for something.
Oh wow, yeah, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. She asked me not to bring that up.
Yes, So Colleen from sales is making a return here. She she'll come on the here.
So she's got two jobs. Apparently one is she start up her own pillow company apparently, which is great. She used to do at national company called spinal Ees. And she's also doing tours of London, which is like a she things that have happened in London over time. So she took me sort of briefly this afternoon to a place where there was like an old radio announcer from Australia that got busted in a toilet or something or other.
So I don't know, we're just radio announcer from Australia got busted in a toilet over there.
Yeah, apparently like some sort of gay beat or something.
Which is not that's back in the day.
That was.
I don't know if we're saying names.
Reported, it's been reported, Okay, reported.
So she does tours that people have done bad things like okay, well, thank.
You, thank you, Peter, thank you.
Did I just get wrapped by Cooper? Sorry?
Did what did you bring to this segment?
Really?
And that was a real pointless sea.
But I'm also coming to terms. Sorry, Brooklyn.
I know you're a big supporter and you've been very kind to me when I cried the other day, but also I've just I've just found out.
Something revolutionary, which blew my mind, which is one.
World just went just open Instagram for five seconds.
All right, I gotta go. Peter carry is called. All right, Kerry, you're on the air.
What's up?
Hey six am?
Yes you're just in time.
Yeah, not yet.
I was listening to you this morning talking about your Halloween costume and the Menders brothers and carrying guns and all sorts of things, and it just triggered me. In August, I live on the North of Beaches in Sydney and there was a party in quite a quiet suburb called Forestville and a teenager was wearing a fake pistol was part of his costume, and he was held at gunpoint by police until they could, I guess, prove otherwise that the weapon was fake.
This is the problem Brooklyn us going as the Menendez brothers with a shotgun.
I mean, how real are these shotguns?
How real are they? Did? Did catch a glimpse the other day? Yeah, bring one in, let's have a look. Yeah, because it's actually illegal right to even have a frankly.
One that looks like that's completely blacked out, that you can looks like a gun.
I think that's illegal.
It's a bit real.
Yeah, they look like like a farmer would have those these rifles.
Rifles.
Yeah, so what do you.
Think realistic sound?
Just wear them in the studio, don't wear them out in public.
Can you hear that sound?
Yeah?
This is that doesn't that's not real?
No, I know that's okay, Yeah, all right, the jury is out.
My next door neighbor, he's him and some mates went knock and running one night. Yeah, and they would they knocked, but then they drove like the cars out the front, so they drove away straight afterwards. The boat that come out got their license plate. The cops showed up at the house where the obviously where the car was registered to, and in the boot he had all of these fake guns. But they look so realistic that like they were like BB guns, which are legal anyway, but they look so realistic that the cops arrested them all like fifteen year olds, and they all had to go down the station, stayed overnight in the station because they didn't know they were fake guns at the time, and when the parents and stuff came down, all the kids had to go to court and everything just for fake guns.
Wow. Yeah, So it's just hardcore?
Is that? Interesting.
It's more interesting than what Peter Bright. Don't worry, it's a low bar. This morning.
Kirstens phone on all Kristen.
Sorry, Hi Kristin, Hi, Hi lovely, We're good. How are you?
That's very good.
I just wanted to ring and say how amazing it was yesterday. And I just hope that all this so I get behind you and recognize just how empowering that you've made it to everyone out there, that everyone has their own problems, and that you can actually you don't know what's going on with people behind the scenes, and that we all just need to be so much more compassionate with everyone. And I'm so excited to read your book on Tuesday. I'm really hoping. How I wait to get it, and I just don't to know what is there anything else in there? What's the best chapter? What chapter can we look forward to? Taking this aside?
But what can we really look forward to?
And yeah, spoil it?
I don't know what to say.
We'd even start, really, it goes through like a lot of it obviously goes through the start of my career, a little bit in childhood. I don't go too much into childhood. I always find I don't know how you guys feel about that part of the book with people, but I don't want to hear too much about their pearance life and you know what I mean, Like, I don't delve into that too greatly because there's just so much to get through in terms of like what's happened on radio and the people I've met and you know, the incidences. And then it goes through obviously my marriage and how I had two marriages and how they broke down, what happened in those and then it talks about obviously the addiction and then going through rehab and coming out of that, and then go in like exploring new relationships and how much I kind of struggled with that as well, Like that was there was a difficult period in my life in relation to that. So I do talk about the dates, and I also talk about you know, sex, having sex with people, and yeah, like so I kind of I really wanted to make sure that if I did a book that I would be completely honest and not kind of hold anything back. And so yeah, that's interesting that part where you can't where I've come out of rehab, I'm ready to live life again, and I'm ready to start dating and then entering that dating world what happens then, because that's a lot of stuff I don't know. I feel uncomfortable talking about it a lot of the time. And I also think, like talking about that involves somebody else, and I think that's what my reluctance with it, because it's somebody else's story as well. So I've tried to keep you know, identities private in that respect. And it doesn't matter who they are. It's more about like how what I went through?
Back to the bits about you having sex? Are we talking like fifty shades of gray like style? How much seats are they going?
No, I'm not going like and then he flipped me over and with no, I'm not doing play.
So you're talking about right up until the bedroom and then afterwards.
Do you know some of them are like in the bedroom?
Yeah?
Yeah, yeah, but it's not I wouldn't say it's.
Does the super fan get a mention?
No, I thought i'd leave the super fan out. I already said it on air, so I figured, no, I've said that, like, people already know that story. So there's others.
Yeah, that fan is going to be so upset.
Oh, I think it might be relieved. Actually, he's probably.
Pre ordered it for him and his whole family thinking he's in it.
I'm very excited together as I'm very excited read it.
And hey, thanks Christen so much for that.
No, that's okay, Now, I just really touched, I'm sure myself and millions of others. But it's just really nice to know that and remind everyone that we all need to be compassionate with everyone because no.
Yeah, this this, I think they are right. It's so true.
Everyone's got their own everyone's got their own stuff behind the scenes. So really like, let's all be nice to one another and.
Show I agree, agree support one another.
Thank you you and you're so beautiful.
Thank you, thanks honey. Okay, guys, we're going to do birthday well next. If you're celebrating your birthday today, now's the time to call on thirty one six five.
We all.
Yeah time.
It's been the birthday wheel on the Kyle and Jackie O Show with Jackie and Cooper John's.
This morning, Yes indeedy And oh who's celebrating their birthday today? Oh it's Katie Perry's fortieth guys. Yeah only man, like that's she seems I thought she would have been older, older, I actually did thinks she might have been like forty two or something.
We are so she's come out of thirty nine into forty.
I love chat it. She's still got it. Siara is thirty nine? Remember her one two step?
Oh?
Yes, Matt Shervington the swinger?
Sure what swing like?
You know?
The swinger? It swings swing?
No?
No, no, he doesn't. Sorry, I think I used the wrong words.
Can someone put survey swinging on the screen so Cooper can see this?
I want this reaction.
Yeah, yeah, because it does swing.
Nancy Cartwright, the voice actress from The Simpsons, is sixty seven and the carso would have been one hundred and forty three today.
I don't think you ever would have got there.
That's that's a stretch one do.
What was his most famous painting?
All those really weird looking ones?
Oh? Is it like the ones with.
There?
See?
What made that so good?
I don't think anyone had done it before.
They had it easy back then because nothing has been done.
Is now everything's been.
Done, has it?
Though?
They would have thought that back then too.
Yeah, swinging it when he's running on the track. Now he obviously hosts Sunrise, So Happy Birthday, Survibe.
Oh my god, that is.
That's the first time you've seen that. How we got to pass.
The batman back?
God?
What are you guys saying a few days ago that like the penis retracts whenever you do sport.
Yes, you can only imagine.
That's the small version.
Yeah, that is unbelieva. That's a hammer.
It actually looks like he's put he's doing the relay and he's put the baton down.
Yeah, I know, right, Yeah, Gez, you would.
Have you would have thought after that some girls would have been knocking on.
I think they were.
How much faster would he have been?
If it weren't for.
That, you might have breaked the world record.
You are celebrating your fiftieth birthday to day Happy. It's a milestone. How does it feel?
I know, Oh my god, it feels very very different. This is a really special, big one. It feels very significant. Oh, it's amazing. I'm just getting over the fact that I share a birthday with the swing of Max Surfer.
I know there's quite a few iconic people in your birthday list, isn't there?
Absolutely very exciting.
Castle what have you got planned for Lisa?
Oh yeah, do you know it's family and friends? Should be a good one, can't wait?
Very exciting, nice, that sounds fun. Do you want us to get your prize on the birthday? Will Oh?
That sounds to light?
Why not?
Coops, you've really lost interest in the horoscope, haven't I know?
Do you know?
I know?
Actually I would love the horlright, all right, all.
Right, love it? Scorpio's out there. Are you planning a long trip today? You might feel some doubts about whether you should go through with those plans. You might be concerned about money or maybe even safety. Take a deep breath and stay calm, because the situation might be more secure than you think. Right now, do some research and don't cancel plans just yet. Does that apply to you, Lisa? Not at all? Birthday?
That's all right?
So much good you're in.
Some of you lose su with those horoscopes.
It usually does.
This is a weird one for me. Who means you've got yourself three hundred dollars five hundred dollars to spend at naked Sundays Australia's fastest growing skincare meets makeup meets sunscreen brands.
Oh nice, brilliant, perfect for a fifty year old.
Yeah, it doesn't know. We need to wear our sunscreen every day, don't we.
We don't wear it enough, No, we don't.
It's got to be part of our routine. Got a couple of songs for you, Brooklyn. You've got the carryover.
Yes, I do, Lisa, remember Rihanna and Kanye West. This is all of the lights. Are you still young at heart?
Lisa?
Oh?
Absolutely, I teach. I teach children.
I have to beat what age kids.
All ages from primary to secondary.
Nice. Well, we've chosen your fellow birthday friend here with Katy Perry and Kanye et.
Oh, yes, choose that, Lisa.
I know.
Look I think I might Actually I think you've won me. Alrighty girls united.
Yeah, have a great day, my love.
Thank you so much. You too, you too.
Here. It is all right.
We're gonna round of own news coming up next, the Power Pick Katie Perry on the Kyle and Jackie Oh Show. Jackie hanging out for John's this morning. So good.
Have Kanye West and Katie Perry a little come down from there.
You're just saying that this era of Katie Kanye was just epic. Was all the stuff they did.
Was so good?
But yeah, like that, it's still good.
And that's that song is not the first one that comes to my mind with Katie.
No, and that doesn't.
I feel like that doesn't get played a lot, which is weird because it actually sounds really good.
Yeah, okay.
Snoop Dogg was once offered one hundred million dollars from only fans to get it out for everyone to see, but his response was, hell, no, I got a black wife. Ain't no way in the world she's going to allow me to go on there and pull that thing out and no amount of money. But now on What's what happens Live with Andy Cohen? He addressed if he regrets that decision, Yeah.
I did turn down one hundred million, Yes, and that the only part that regrets it is my friend down there, your.
Your dick, regrets not going on only fence.
He's your dick.
One of these that hundred million.
He would have been able to be in untext, but I told him it's not your decision. I'm not thinking with the little head this time. I want to think with the big head. And you're not getting any of this.
Wow, what percentage of the time do you think with the big head over the little heat.
The big head is the reason why where I'm at now, So I use like ninety eight point nine percent of his thinking and then the other one point three is on the little guy.
Ninety eight point nine and one point three. Yeah, it's one hundred point two percent. So he's Mathews.
Oh that's what you took from that?
Yeah, sorry, just squis it off.
What is a ninety eight point.
Ninety eight point nine and then one point three percent with his little head.
Ah, he's gone a little bit over right, you are.
Yeah, I mean I overlooked everything else.
So Travis Scott's Melbourne show has made international headlines.
I don't know if you guys saw that.
Swarms of fans outside the venue, I think, waiting to get in, started pushing, shoving, breaking barricades, throwing random objects around. It just looks a bit chaotic, and people were likening it to the Astro World disaster which saw ten people killed, and and then just it's it is. I mean, you do see the footage and it's it's pretty full on.
Yeah, Travis Scott fans are pretty like, yeah, the mosh pits, I know on the floor.
At every one of his concerts. It looks insane, it does, doesn't it.
Like I look at the footage and I think that looks great, But it also looks a bit like as a girl, I'd be like, there's no way I'd be getting down there. Oh no, if you just guys, it's all.
Guy, it's all And they're all big guys too, Like, it's not tiny blokes. If you're a girl in there, like, I can see how you might get hurt.
Yeah, we would be scared to be amongst that. But it looks what you see is like ship. That looks like a great show. I didn't end up going.
Did you see what he said the other night? He came out and started like spraying the viop booth?
Did you see that?
He came out and was like, oh you who put that VIP booth up there? Like at my concerts, there's there is no viop Like you're just as good as the rest of us.
Oh wow, it's pretty cool.
Actually yeah, it's very rock star of him. But he's just started like he oh.
Wait, So people were in that booth and everyone was thinking at them all.
Everybody turned and looked at the booth and they were just like sitting there.
I wonder who was in there. Probably someone we know you probably would be Yeah, I don't.
Know who was in it, but it was.
What he sprayed water gun at them.
No, he just sprayed them verbally, prayed them verbally.
I was going to say, well, you're better than the rest of us, like there is no whoever put a vop my contrats.
Actually think I'd crawl on the floor and hide if I was in that in that moment. Pamela Anderson, you know how she's these days rocking up to red carpets with no makeup one that Yeah, yeah, how brave of her? Right? I love that?
Yeah, she still looks good.
I just think for someone who has gone from being idolized because of what you look like and adored because of what you look like, to then get to a point in your life where you are happy to strip that back bear and own that publicly is so amazing to me and inspiring, Like she must have done so much work on herself to get to that point.
Oh yeah, you've got to be so comfortable and you've got to But she still looks pretty good with no makeup.
Like she does. She does, and she went on Drew Barrymore Show. I think Drew wore no makeup for that interview. Drew then took out her hair extensions. It was a real empowering thing, and Pamela talked about why after you and Is she decided to just wear no makeup.
I was painfully shy as a kid, and doing even doing Playboy for instance, was a huge leap of faith for me. It just, you know, I was physically sick doing it, but I didn't want to be shy anymore. And then I became you know, I just thought, well, this is what my fantasy of what a model is, or a playmate is, or a.
Rock star wife is, or what anything else.
I'm going to do it the best.
And I've been playing these characters along the way, and it just hit me a couple of years ago and I was like, you know, just shaking my head, going who am I? And I just started taking it all back and then started peeking out without makeup. And then I started realizing, oh, I feel great as me, and I don't want to be I don't want people to think of me as the other All those cartoon characters I kind of created for.
Protection yeah, yeah, oh I love that.
It must be hard as like, I mean, I'm a man, but like it must be hard for a woman because you rarely see women out and about without makeup on any.
Round these days. Like, yeah, it must be the mark quite tight.
Yeah, it must be a little bit, like you just never see it. You never see a girl would go out, she's going out with her friends.
That's not would make it if you're going out for a night to not wear any makeup, like that's you don't see that, that's true. Like day to day, you'd see it a lot, you know, during the day, Yeah, you'd see a lot of girls wearing no makeup.
Mayo, like you, you would wear no makeup a lot.
Of the time.
Yeah, I have a bit of like bronze are on right now.
Yeah, that's about it. That's it. Would you ever go out for a night out without it at all?
I hate makeup?
I actually hate it, so I do well sometimes just put mascara and then that's it.
Oh that's amazing.
I love how you both are like, yeah, no makeup, no makeup, just some masca and some bronze. No, that's makeup.
Yeah, it's it.
I actually wear no makeup please each every day and out though.
Would you go out?
No, I wouldn't go out.
No, that's what Pamela does though. That's what I find interesting, is the red carpet.
Wearing no mak Well, maybe this is the maybe the error.
Maybe she is she might start the trend.
Makeup brands would be disappointed.
No, I won't like that. And then Hugh Jackman apparently is in love. He's been seeing someone. Her name is Oh, she plays Sutton I think from that show Younger. Her name is Sutton Foster. She plays Liza. Liza, thank you. I think I'm glad you chimed in there. Don't ever be If I'm making a mistake, tell sorry. I just didn't want you to go down.
Absolutely won't. No, totally, I want to know.
So, yeah, she If you watch the TV series Younger, you probably have seen that Brooklyn.
Since Damien is so obsessed with Hillary Duff, isn't.
That her show?
Yes, Hillary Duff say it, Damien's obsessed with her, and yes, I have seen this. So this one is that she's the main star of Younger, right, it's all about her.
It's about her, isn't it? And apparently I think she was in a Broadway show with you and that's when it started.
And then very in love and seeing each other and they look.
Like a good match.
Oh that's cute. Oh will I guess she'll be coming to Australia, you'd imagine, I hope, so see more of her.
And then Argentine and police are going to raid the hotel where Leah Pain was found because they have been asking the hotel for security footage because they want to see what was happening, and they also want to see if any hotel staff members were supplying him with drugs and they have not been forthcoming so far, so they are rating it is. Yes, they want to investigate it completely and fully, so they'll be apparently seizing footage so that they can determine if somebody supplied him drugs within the hotel, which is what they suspect happened.
Jeez, that'd be a bad boo.
Yeah, yeah, I know. Yeah. We're going to do pop Quiz next guys, and then Sophie Monk will be joining us since studio. I haven't seen so for a while, so I'm really excited. But if you want to try and win that ten grand thirteen one oh six five.

Wow, Okay, you need some interesting ones there and not the others. Okay, So going over some of the ones I did not, I didn't. This is the first day I did not proofread the questions. I would not put that question in there about the title of my own book.
Through you, it through me.
I'm sorry.
I listened to you the whole time yesterday, Jackie, and was with.
You and Nicole.
I appreciated your.
Honestly, but I just yeah, yeah.
I'm sorry.
No, you don't even Nathan is dating Mary Fowler. That's one of the ones you passed on. The Knack Kendrick movie from that year was pitch perfect and the others told you. So that's three hundred dollars.
Oh, I appreciative, but that's so much.
We'll sk to you.
Thanks Nicole.
Thanks guys, have a good day.
Sophie Monk is coming in studio next.
Have you ever met Sophie?
I don't know.
She used to Dad used to have a show on Channel seven. I'm pretty sure Sophie may have had a few appearances.
On it, but yeah, but I don't remember.
She's awesome, she's nice. Yeah, she's the best. Love her.
We're going to get along, you reckon.
Yes, one hundred percent, you will.
She'll love you. You'll love her.
Okay.
We used to hang out like heaps all the time and we're still friends. It's just that we live far apart now and you know, but I haven't seen her for a while, so I'm excited about it coming in next. I heard from me yesterday. She sent me such a beautiful message.
Oh not.
How many people actually back on that. How many people came out of the woodwork that you haven't heard from.
In so many Yeah, that was actually really nice to hear from people I haven't heard from in a long time, you know, lots lots of different people, which was lovely.
Yeah, that's nice.
Yeah, So Sophie will come in and then the Diary the Best Fits on and off the air for the week. Will be up shortly. Hi, this is Sophie muck On Colin Jackie, Oh.
Show, I love you so oh, I'm so glad you're in here.
I love you. Yeah, and he's so proud of you.
Dall, thank you and thanks for that beautiful message.
We were messaging each other back and forth a little bit yesterday because yeah, it was so fun. Yeah, like I had no idea but no, and so brave of you to come out and say everything like that, would be so vulnerable.
Thanks so because you were there like through that but didn't realize.
But you and I would talk all day every day, yes, and you know, because you were there for me a lot when I was going through my separation family. So like Sophie, A lot of people don't know, but Sophie was just the most supportive friend who was there on the phone for hours every day, and so you always had such an emotional looser. It's because I love you so much. Look, if I had known, gosh, no, I know you would have, but you always have like the most incredible advice. Like Sophie is so switched on when it comes to understanding a lot of stuff, like you know, you knew all about this psychology stuff, and you know, those those kind of issues you don't realize are happening within you during times like that, and you and if you've never sort of looked into that, like what is my attachment style?
Why do I do this in relationships?
Blah blah blah. You knew all that stuff well before I ever did. And you always had the most amazing advice. And you always stayed on the phone with me for hours on end, and I'm always so grateful for how much you supported me during that time. Oh my gosh, but I just love you so much. Yeah, I love you. I love you.
And this is Coops by the way. Yeah, you guys have never met.
But Coops is awesome.
He from where am I from?
Yeah?
Puts your background.
I don't like Australians, but you like a radio person. I used to play footy?
Okay, got it?
Yeah?
Do you know who his dad is?
No?
Who's your dad?
Make me?
Yeah?
I suppose I am Matthew John's.
Oh yes, okay, Oh that's good.
Yeah?
Is that okay?
Do you know made Maddy John's Yeah?
Not like we're friends to hang out. Yeah, yeah, I know who he is. Yeah.
So Coops went on to play professional rugby.
Yeah, and then just.
Rugby league, jack rugby league?
Why do I have to glorify.
What is the other one? Rugby Union?
When you say rugby, people think rugby Union.
Oh okay, So and do you hate rugby Union?
Yeah?
Yeah, and then the union guys hate you guys, Yeah, they hate us as well? Do they hate you? What do they think?
What do you guys think of each other?
We look at rugby Union as like private school boys. You know, they wear Aaron Williams everywhere and like they tucked their shirts in. Yeah, and they look at us and they think like you know, scanned and yeah, right and stuff.
Yeah.
Oh you guys are the mullet once yeah yeah, okay, the mustache and mullet. Okay, so you're more.
Down to earth yeah, yeah, we're just better people.
Yeah, there's a real rivalry there. And so if you've been doing Love Island, which is about to premiere on Monday, yes, yeah, that's that's exciting because you've been doing Love Island for how long now? Like what for six seasons? Yeah? Wow, we missed one year because of COVID yeah and then yeah, so it's like the longest job I've ever had. Yeah, such a good I bet it is a good job because you go over to Spain, right, and how long do you go over there?
For?
Like over a month? So when you're over there filming because you come in and do the big moments on the show, but every day you're not there, obviously you're not in the house with them. They're filming just the people, the contestants in the house. What do you do like in that time, you think I'd go out and do stuff. I don't. Got so hooked on this season. I stay back, get a cheese board, a bottle of champagne, and stay and watches monitor. Yeah, because there was so much drama this year, I was like, I can't miss out. Oh really, I'm asleep and wake up. Everyone's broken up and like everything's changed. This year was just crazy hectic. Were there a lot of hookups and stuff like? Yeah, but we threw a lot of like shad Yeah, to help their love you.
Want to test them they film hookups?
No, it's undercovers and stuff, you.
Know, like can you see it on the live monitor?
No?
No.
Also I wouldn't put that monitor on it feel weird. But I would help myself, I know, I think I would them undercovers. Yeah really, I think I'm a bit like of a snoop in that way. Yeah, it's quite clean the show actually, Like if you were compared to Maths, I'd say it's cleaner.
It's cleaner.
You know what it is.
It's the bikinis that everyone thinks, Oh it's sexy, yeah, because you know, they look hot and they're not wearing much. But the show is actually really organic and lovely. Like I learn a lot about relationships and myself from these twenty year olds. Yeah, you're right. You do see a lot of their vulnerabilities on the show Earth as well stand up for themselves. But this year, the first episode they're wearing clothes, are they yes? Just I mean they end up in bikinis, they're in the pool, but I they don't enter in the boginnis and heels anymore.
No.
So, and I thought that was awesome because a lot of people said to me they don't want to watch that bit. Yeah, because I guess if you're eating a pizza on the couch, you don't want to see like, oh, you don't want to feel bad about yourself. Yeah, so that I thought that was awesome. Yeah, and there's lots of twists, and we've got a casta and more, we've got hotel and more. So we send the couples away and put them in different with different people. And for one night on No, I didn't think anything happened next with it. It was so much drama. So yeah, this season, if you haven't watched the I promise that the one you want to start on. I like the sound of a ye. And you, you and I worked together all those years ago on Pop Stars when I was a judge and you were a contestant, and then you've also done Beauty in the Geek where Lockey now works on our show.
Do you want to say hi to Lockey one Beauty Geek?
Oh, hey Lockley, Hi, Sophy, miss you, oh, miss you darling.
You're doing so well, Thank you, Miss Pity in the Geek.
It's a shame that I only lasted a couple of seasons.
I know, right, I mean, yeah, did you know? So I'm going to update you on Lockey. So Lockey obviously was a virgin. Yes, yep, you knew that. And then when he came to work on our show, like a number of years ago, a listener was really interested in him, and they she became his girlfriend.
They had sex, so he lost his virginity. Then they broke up.
This is so much information.
Then they broke up, and now he's back on the show and he's courting only fans girls and one of them invited him to the Gold Coast for a weekend away and he had sex with her.
Yes, not only that made her orgasms by.
Going down on fake it or she knows she told exactly what to do and she did not fake it. She's a master in the bedroom.
No, what I know?
Boy? Only fans did you decide?
And not just.
I wasn't specifically chasing only fans girls, but this particular girl and Leisha came in for naked dating and we got talking and we were getting on really well. So yeah, I went on a date with her on the Gold Coast and now we have a podcast together.
And do you film you guys making love? No, you're not.
Close to getting there, to be honest, Holy moly.
Yeah, she's a woman.
Hey, what did you think she could eat you for breakfast?
I think she did.
She taught me a lot in the bedroom. She got way out of my comfort zone.
Did you really gone from like not a virgin too, fall in there like this is what she doing's? Oh wow, okay, good you I know, happy feel you? Yeah?
How's married life going?
It's good? Yeah, I can't really complain. I'm just boring. Really do you do? Like because you're you're now not you know, in and amongst it, like I've kind of gone away to beautiful coastal area, just living a my life. Yeah, a bit normal. Two Golden retrievers it out. We've got another one while you did. Yeah, so everything's got hair, Like honestly, I just eat the hair now this may as well, and then we just will play Xbox a lot, like I'm obsessed with Xbox Xbox.
Yeah.
On the face of Black.
Ops six, you're the face of Black Ops six.
Yeah, do you play?
I'm the replacer at the moment. Have you seen the replacer at No?
What happens?
Oh anyway, call of duty it is, but yes, but I'm really into it, like not with the headset and like against other people, just like some co op stuff.
And do you have an addictive personality?
Yeah? Yeah? Does that say a lot?
No?
I just thought I could tell, like when you were just talking then got really addicted to black ops. Well, I just wouldn't have thought. You don't strike me as someone that plays a lot of Xbox.
Really you should see me. I'm a master really yeah, very competitive.
Oh yeah, I can see the add on the screen now they're replacement.
Oh thanks guys.
Yeah, they get things up quick here.
Yeah tech.
Yeah, it looks like John Wick in that suit.
I no, I think very good.
That's good.
Oh great. Have you have you been watching the Menendez Brothers? Yeah? What do you think? Because you know today they're announcing whether or not they're going to get a retrial for a re sentencing. Really yeah, so jail you want to doc Ohey.
It does help you.
I wonder if this would have happened without the series. No, I don't think it's been such a push for them to be released. So do you believe they should be released by now?
Oh?
Yeah, yeah, I think they've served enough time. Yeah, I think they still should have gone to jail. Yeah, same, I mean Murd's murder all right? Yeah, but yeah, but yeah I think they rose. How long did she get well? I think did she years? Seven years or something?
But she didn't do the killing, remember, manager, she managed to very clever.
Yeah, yeah, I guess so. And he's still in there, isn't he the guy that murder either murdered the actual mum of Gypsy Rose is still in prisons. So yeah, I think probably long enough.
I think so too.
I think they it was very different because I deep dive on crime and I'd already deep given so that was diven as on the whole thing. I thought, you know, the molesting things a lot worse, you know than they probably made out. They kind of made out that even on the show.
On the show, it was pretty heck, do you think it's worse even.
And they were all victim you know, you know, how they went out and spent all the money and everything. I think that just put people off as well. But obviously the O. J. Simpson trial and everything extra, they were like they're going to do Yeah, it's like no, if he's if he's off, we can't. Don't possibly let these guys off too. So I think I think it was a bit unfair because they've been abused their whole life. Yeah, yeah, I thought so too. Yeah, so they might could be getting out they well, it would have a retrial, which would mean they need to be satisfied that there's enough new evidence to do that retrial. That wouldn't happen until next year, and then obviously we have to wait for the results, you know, the jury. But speaking to one of the original jurors this morning, Oh yeah, just get everyone good. That's awesome listening for that one.
Do you miss doing radio?
Yeah?
You do, know, only on your show?
Yeah, right, that's it.
We miss the shows. Yeah, your show is such a like it's run so smoothly and it's fun. Look how many people are out there though it doesn't run smooth. We have problem most producers ever. But also there's not like I used to do radio and they'd be like three and a half minutes off rebreak. They time you to get off quick. Yeah, in and out, make a full story, bright, snappy, yeah yeah, punchy, in and out. What do you think of pdot? Oh jeez, well you know that how much is going to come out on that? I know, like I you know, I feel like I don't want to put you in a spot. But you were in La during all of that, Like, so you were did you ever go to one of his parties?
No?
No, but were they in La sometimes? Yeah? Yeah, no, I never got invited, but yeah, La is a I mean, I know, so Hollywood, like the people in the industry especially, I was there like ten years ago, four ten years and it was like full on. Like I look back at it, I've kind of blacked half of it out, honestly. Yeah, it was so the way I just got treated there. I guess I was turning up to work in bikinis. No, I'm not sorry. I wasn't like turning up actually to work, but that was kind of what I was typecast for. Yeah, you know, I obviously was shitt actress to be typecast, but you weren't a shit actress. Yeah, but it wasn't great, Okay.
But.
You know, being in baths, people naturally treat you differently. Yeah, I'm not I'm not a victim victim, but I just felt yucky. I feel like, yeah, it was very very objectified and lee and they feel like because you are the girl in the bikini.
That they feel they have a right to treat you. A certain might be up for it, you know exactly. It's like, maybe I don't know if this is a good It's sometimes.
Waitresses on boats like, yes, okay, they may be topless but it doesn't give you the right to just then it's not your body to own, like just because they're being paid to be topless. Sorry keeps. I know you go on boats like that, but I know you would be disrespectful. You know, they still deserve respect, is what I'm saying. Everyone deserves exactly. I used to go home and feel really bad about myself, Like my soul hurt almost like dirty.
It feels yucky, Yeah, it doesn't it.
Yeah, And then it started piling on all the time, and your value for yourself goes and you just wow, that.
Sounds soul destroying. Being in that industry in La I.
Reckon and no one really knew what work I'd done, so was just that girl you know as well? Yeah, And there's like because I feel I don't know what I get from this p Diddy thing. There seems to be other celebrities involved in some way that were either witnessed to it, involved or knew about it. Yeah, that's the scariest. That's the scary part is like how much happened back in those days where celebrities and people in power did things that were just beyond what a normal person knew to be morally incorrect, but they did it because there was this kind of they get treated like gods and then they think they're invincible. I could see and I'd never say anything either. There's almost like, oh my gosh, they're so powerful and so wealthy, you get scared of being sued. They've got teams around them like squash a lot of people. Yeah, I had a lot of people do stuff to me, like, you know, all of a sudden, become a producer on my show because they want to, and you can't do anything about it. I've got no I had no money, so I didn't have lawyers, publicists, and they're just so protected. You would never say a bad word, or they come out on you, which I had to happen, and they'll do like a bad press run on you and get seen paparazzi to get bad photos or so it's a full scary to even go up against. You would not even dare say anything. So I think, yeah, the power of the money is what scares people. So yeah, I can understand that. Yeah, yeah, it intimidates you. But it's been happening since the nineties, so yeah, I wonder who's going to be in there. It sounds like a load of people. It does, but I hear that a lot of them are being paying off certain people to keep it quiet.
Yeah, and settling or whatever is involved.
I don't know, but when that core case happens, I'm going to be really interested to see, like who else gets exposed? Who knew who was involved exactly? Yeah, Oh gosh, so yeah, dirty, dirty. I bet you're I bet you're happy to be back in living a normal life now in the industry. Here, I get to be myself because I was very that kind of you know, not sex in book, I'm not sexy, but that I was kind of pigeonhole with that for a long time doing men's magazines and all that kind of stuff, and I didn't like it wasn't me. So now I get to be myself as a person. Yeah, it doesn't matter what I look like. Yeah kind of yeah, you know, And it's just like so much more fun operating, And yeah, you've got a lot more self worth and self esteem as a result, because sometimes we look back on times in our life and we look back like, oh, that was a good era, that was all that was horrible. How it comes with a nicky feeling when you look back on that Hollywood period of your life. Is it just all of us, all of it like a dark hole? Yeah, just yeah, because we see we saw you back in the day when people you know, would see you in magazines. It would be every week you'd be papped because you were you know, hang out with Paris Hilton or you know, and and you were around a lot of fame and you were getting papped all the time, and it kind of looked like, oh, she's living a fun life. Yeah, it looks glamorous. Lonely. Yeah, it's just lonely. And everyone's just so up there and asks there too, like I mean, this is just my experience. Sulleple have other experiences, but everyone's just talks about themselves and like it just felt Yeah, its like too much chocolate, Yeah, too indulgent. Everyone is did you do therapy? I did? And then he tried to hit on me. So at the end he went to give me a kiss on the lips and he got me a present and then he wanted to charge me, and I was like, I'm not. Yeah, it's just weird there, like everyone wants to be famous, including your therapist, your dentist. You wow, there's no Yeah, there's no line. You can't found out he was a sex addict. Actually he became a therapist. Yeah, so he probably needed a bit more therapy. I'd say that you're right also, but's so good to see you so lovely, to see you love Island sounds so fun. We're going to watch that Monday. This coming Monday, six o'clock on nine. Now, if you want to check it out, it will be addicted. Yeah, I love it. Thanks, honey, you make sorry keeps. I feel like I really want you out of it forgetting to talk to you.
Guys, your sensibility sometimes you're going to take a back seat, and that she had no experience.
That's what happened.
It's very fast, went from the best, did you Jackie?
No?
No, no, my dad.
The diary is up next, guys.
Take on that Paramore song.
I actually really like that.
It is good.
But what I picked it for my power pick? You know, two weeks ago no one picked it for We need Cyril Cyril.
No.
I appreciated that. I love that song so much. I did, but a newer version is so good to hear that Cyril version is amazing.
Play for the first time on kiss just now, just I'm only getting this right now.
But before we get into the diary, some breaking news on the Menendez brothers. The LA District Attorney held a press conference just minutes ago where he recommended a re sentencing for Lyle and Eric Menendez. He said he believes re sentencing is appropriate and will make that recommendation to the judge.
To a place where I believe they're under the law resentencing is appropriate, and I am going to recommend.
That to a court tomorrow.
What that means in this particular case is that we're going to recommend to the court that the life without the possibility of parole be removed and that there would be sentenced for murder, which because there are two murders involved, there will be fifty years to life. However, because of their age under the law, since they were under twenty six years of age at the time that the scrimes occurred, they will be eligible for parole imeding.
Well, okay, I'm confused for a start.
My question is the LA District Attorney.
Isn't that the people who prosecute against people like the Menandez brothers.
Jackie, you spot on, Yeah, So basically, what he's saying, is the people that the prosecutors, the people who put.
The brothers in the wale.
Yeah, I guess, you know, told the judge put him behind bars. They're now going back on that and saying we're comfortable with them being released.
And if that comes from the LA District Attorney, is that that would hold a lot of weight with the judge carry.
Is a huge amount of weight.
It would now just basically be just a procedure for the judge to sign off on it.
Oh so base And then what are they saying.
Are they saying then that if they're eligible for parole immediately, does that mean if the judge signs off on it today, they would be released immediately on I don't understand.
Yeah, it could be done a sap. So we're just trying to figure out how quick now that process will be. Although when I was listening to the press conference, he was saying tomorrow he was going to like put through the paperwork to the judge. So it could be as tomorrow over the weekend.
When you're eligible for problem in here, we have like a parole where there's a bit of a process and you've got to have been well behaved in jail and stuff like that, So I don't know if that would apply.
Well, they have been from what I've heard, they've done a lot of good work. I only hear these as you know, online reports, but I've heard they actually are being quite reductive and trying to do something a good inside than getting involved in things that aren't so great.
It must be a nervous way to have that in the hand of one judge, Like if it's just that judge is the only person that can sign off on it.
What if he's one opinion?
Yeah, Oh, but.
Imagine you're in jail for life and then you just hear this news that you would be jumping for joy that it's even a possibility that this is happening.
So I just want to clarify the parole immediately. Does that mean they are released.
If parole is granted, Yeah, so their sentence would be would be redone and then that would be reduced to whatever. But you could get parole immediately if.
Pol go home. And well now that I did not expect that they would just be released soon. Possibly that is that's so big, isn't it.
That's side not imagine how famous they'll be if they say they get out over the weekend for parole. How famous are they going to be walking the streets with this Menendez Jackie and Cooper.
Yeah, just to one hundred percent confirmed that the attorney is chatting to a guy called Judge William Ryan tomorrow and it's now going to be in his hands and as soon as tomorrow he could either uphold, reject or modify the sentence.
Well, amazing, So it still would go to an if they got parole immediately, it would still go to another trial though.
Oh no, no, no, no, that's what we initially thought.
So this is just done and dusted.
This is something nasting. Yeah.
You might have heard in the grab that they were referring to the ages of the Menendez brothers, and what they were basically saying is because they were under a certain a at the time, they want to lower the sentence to time served.
Yeah, that's insane. That would be incredible. The power of a TV show amazing, isn't it.
Yeah.
I mean it doesn't always work in everyone's favor, Like not everyone gets that, but this would be incredible if it did happen. Well, we'll keep you posted. We are going to be speaking to Hazel Thornton next, who was a duror on the first Menendez trial and she's in support of their release. But in the meantime, it's the Diary, the best bits on and off the air for the week. Roll it Dean Diary.
It's been a big wake on the KI when Jackie O's show, we gave away a shitload of cash this week. That's started with Lane winning ten thousand dollars on the pop quiz.
Which was the actress founded the production company Lucky Chap Entertainment.
Ten thousand dollars.
In cash, plus Debbie one one hundred thousand dollars. After correctly identifying the noise.
Is this pinging?
I posted to a notis Ford.
Yeah, you're right. Oh my god, one hundred thousand dollars.
That's gonna change my kids live.
That's one hundred grand in your pocket.
Demie left us this message later to say thanks.
I just can't believe I named the noise and Carl and Jackie I have given me one hundred thousand dollars.
Thank you so much, guys, I love you.
Australia's Opposition A Ladd piece of dun And stops by the studio mister du Welcome to the Carl and Jackie, oh and good to see you.
Thank you guys.
By the way, have you had the same piece of Dunn and Larry MBA in the same room. This is crazy, guys, what's going on.
We've just discovered something.
You've got a sixty voice, Larry. You know that is Larry?
Hold on it on the radio, Heyda, can you say come on down?
Come on down?
And there wasn't a dry eye in austral when Jackie read an excerpts from her upcoming memoir The Whole Truth and Sound on Tuesday, and none of us saw this coming.
There's only one thing left to do today, get on a plane to Los Angeles, undetected by anyone. My best friend and manager, Jemma O'Neill is with me. After our weekend in the Sonoran Desert, Gemma will be heading home and I won't be going with her.
I'm going on a loan.
When she checks out, I'll be checking into the Betty Ford Center in Ranch Home, Mirage.
I'll be spending twenty eight days there. I'm voluntarily enrolled in a twelve step program there to treat the substance dependence and drug addiction. I've been able to keep secret.
For three long and pay four years.
Are you okay?
I am okay.
Yeah, I'm not crying because I'm ashamed. I'm just crying because I kept this in for so long and saying it out loud right now is like scary.
Honestly, someone was watching over me because I don't know how I woke up those days.
Well, Jackie, we're all so proud of you, and every single one of us has your back.
Hey jack I just wanted to send my love to you.
So you're really brave and you know there is a lot of people out there and thank you.
For doing it, so you know, go girl. I'm really proud of you.
Hey jack I just wanted to say I'm so proud of you.
I think you're an amazing mother.
Although I knew personally, I feel like after listening to you just so long, I feel like I know you, I love you, support you, I'm.
Proud of you.
Well done.
Hey Jackie, that was incredible, super touching. I just want to say, like your honesty, this makes you so much more human.
It makes me want to be a better person.
I need that inspiration.
He's just gotta keep going Bob.
And Jackie's bestie Jemma was by her side through the whole thing, so she stopped by the studio.
I'm very grateful that she had the courage to tell me, because all it takes is telling one person. If you can tell one person, then that person can help you.
And she had the courage to.
Finally tell me one day about the reality of what had been going on.
She stayed with me day and night.
She was so worried about.
Me and as her care.
They'd given me very strict instructions that I had to keep from really close on her.
And thank god I had you, Gemma.
Thank you.
I'll forever be grateful for what you did for me. Thanks Jeer, I love you. I love you too.
Yeah, you're a great friend.
Thank you.
Niah Kyle just can't help himself. God love him. Jackie and Jemma were hugging and he let this out.
Oh God, here we go, now.
Here we go.
And he's second.
And on that note, it's been a big wake on the kile On Jackie O show, Signed Lucky the Gig Jackie O.
Yeah, if you've been watching Monsters the Menendez Brother's story, you might be invested in this one, and this is massive news that has come through if you just missed it. The LA District Attorney, so the ones responsible for putting him away in the first place, wanting them to go to sorry, them to go to prison, And now they've just held a press conference and they will be recommending to the judge to release them on parole immediately and that they've they've served their time. And that's that's pretty big. I would say the judge would probably sign off on that and that as soon as the weekend, these guys could be free.
Yeah, they could be walking straight, They could.
Be walking the streets. Now, one of the original juror members back for the first which is the one we saw represented in that series, is Hazel Thornton, and she joins us now on Zoom. Good morning, Hazel, good morning.
How I'm good.
I know that you were always for not sentencing those boys to that life sentence. How do you feel about this news just breaking?
I think it's a wonderful step in the right direction and a long time coming.
Yeah, I feel I mean, I can't believe that's actually happened. Does it surprise you? I would have thought they would at least be going to a new trial, but to release the mom parole immediately is quite something.
I think a new trial would be horrible. I think that the right thing to do is to re sentence them. Of course, we still have to wait and see what the judge is going to do, and there's no telling what the judge is going to do. But I think that the DEA recommending resentencing is wonderful.
Wouldn't the judge if he went against what the DA is recommending?
Why would he do that? That sounds like a personal sort of gripe.
If this is something that's coming from the District attorney's office, it's not.
It's coming from the district attorney himself.
Yeah.
And remember they're elected over there, Jackie. So it's a little political.
It is political. I was just told that of the office of the DA.
That all the it makes up a lot of a lot of other you know, judges and attorneys, and they're they're split. They're still split about whether the brothers should be captain prison or not.
Yeah. And so when you were there for the trial of this all those years ago, tell us about the deliberations that happened behind closed doors, where what I heard was that it was very much a battle of the sexes. The men did not care or believe that they had been abused, and therefore, you know, they should go to prison. And then the women were more in favor of I guess understanding from a more empathetic side of what they have been through.
It's true that they were more empathetic in terms of understanding what we were explained to by all of the defense witnesses, including expert witnesses in the fields of psychology and you know, criminal justice. They so we were empathetic, but we were criticized afterwards for voting with our emotions and not being logical, and the men were applauded for being logical and not quote falling for their story. And so it was definitely a battle of the sexes. I write, I wrote all about it in my book Hung Jury, The Diary of a Menendez Juror. It's a real diary. I didn't I didn't go later and you know, make half of it up. I kept a journal and allowed it to be published. And so you can read all about the battle of the sexes in the in the liberations on Eric Sturry in the first trial.
So is that is that kind of what like, what information did they is out there now that you didn't have back then, which might have swayed the other jurors.
We had all of the information back then, but the men did not. Both juris, both juries were hung, both of the first juries. And what people don't a lot of people don't know that they're about the two trials and the first one having two juries and both of them hung. And we had all of the evidence of all the types of malestation, I mean malestation but also physical abuse, not just sexual and emotional and mental.
And it really was different back in the nineties, and I was pretty young then, but I've seen the change from the nineties and obviously from earlier where sexual abuse and child sexual abuse it just wasn't even spoken about. It was like a hidden think it was within the family or whatever, and you just it's almost was ignored in the church and stuff. You just never talked about it. And it's only since then that society has changed to not accept it, right.
And especially with a powerful man being accused of having abused his you know, physically physically fit, you know, young sons.
So why can I ask what were the men saying?
In that room. If you if it was presented in a way that just seemed like it was credible, and you believed it, why didn't they believe it? What was their defense in that.
They were I believe that they were feeling pressure, public pressure. Even though we were admonished to not follow news of the trial, it was kind of hard to mess that. There were a lot of eyes on the trial. It was the first longer trial that had ever been shown on court TV, you know, gavel to gavel. And they were also told by the prosecuting attorney made an argument which did not involve any evidence. It was just his theory in closing arguments that Eric was gay and that that was the problem in the family. And so they sited on that and that became the main topic of discussion. They also they were jealous that Jose attended their sporting events. They were jealous because they had so much money to spend. And they also the same prosecuting attorney, Lester Kuriema, he also told them in his closing arguments not to be gullible, and I think that they didn't want to be gullible that they I don't know if they believed it deep down, but they never did vote for anything besides murder. Now the second trial, though, in case your listeners have forgotten or never knew, they were not ever presented the evidence of the various types of abuse in the in the guilt phase of the trial, so their jury really had no choice. It was either is a murder or or is it not a crime? And of course it was.
We all knew that, yep. And and if you cont factor in any of the abuse, it's it's it's a done deal, right, like you've got no buck.
And when they did hear some of the evidence of the family life and the abuse, they that's when they voted for life without possibility of parole as opposed to death. They were eligible for the death penantal.
What were they like, the boys, Lawla and Eric when they walked into the courtroom the first time, What was their demeanor like and what was like?
What was the jury's opinion of them?
Well, when they first walked in, you know, we weren't allowed to talk to each other. We spent hours upon hours in the jury room together, but we were admonished by the judge to not discuss the case. So I don't know what everybody thought of them when they first walked in, I thought, oh my god, there's a killer. Because everybody it was impossible to be picked for that jury never having heard of the case and knowing nothing about it. So I had to be convinced. You know, I went into it with an open mind. It's like, I don't pretend like I know everything. But I had heard, of course that they had done it and that they'd confessed to it. So what was there to discuss? I didn't know. But what there was to discuss was why. And it took months to unravel that. And people can go watch that first trial. They can see all of the evidence anytime they want to on court tv dot com.
When you talk about like you're not supposed to be watching the news, you're not supposed to read newspapers to influence anything. How seriously did jurors take that? Is it almost like impossible to ignore You can't help yourself, but want to look at that stuff?
It is hard, and I think some of us took it extremely seriously and others maybe violated that. Yeah, regular in my case, if I if I was listening to the radio, it wouldn't be for the news. But if somebody popped on and said something you know that I couldn't and hear. Then then I might get a little clue what was going on. And sometimes we would write notes to the judge telling him what we had heard and leaving it up to him to decide whether that was okay or not okay. But not everybody would confess something like that, you know, whether they had.
When you see on TV when you're in court and one of the prosecutors or defense lawyers says something that's a bit it doesn't have any merit behind it, but they want to plant a seed in the jury's mind. And then you see that the go strike that like you're you're all supposed to just forget what you just heard that. It's got to be impossible to do that, right when you have to strike that.
It is impossible.
Yeah, I can do that, but when you know when you so obviously i'd love to get your thoughts, Hazel on what you thought of the series that has just aired on Netflix. How accurate do you think that was?
I think it was not accurate, and in fact, I have not seen it. I'm boycotting it.
Oh okay, So if you haven't seen it, what makes you think it's not. What parts have you heard that aren't accurate?
Well, I've seen people have sent me clips, I've seen many many scenes. Yeah, that you not represent Lyell and Eric as I know them. And but that doesn't mean there's not a lot of uh truth in the series. It just means I don't I don't have nine hours to devote to fiction, and I do.
A lot of us the rest of us do.
Let me let me restate that I have actually a lot of time to devote to fiction, just not about them.
Well, you've lived it. But what is it that you don't like of how they were portrayed? Like you say you didn't know them to be that way? How did you know them to be?
Well, for one thing, they implied in the series, and granted it was supposedly from Dominic Dunn's viewpoint, but Dominic done, he's not he's he's been discredited as a any kind of he's not a reporter or anything. He's he was famous at the time.
Yeah guy, you mean yeah, yeah, he had he had.
He apparently had a fantasy that they were lovers. Well, they were not lovers. There's no evidence of that, and so why put that into this series, if they're if their true lives are not sordid enough. I don't know what is what do you?
So?
Yeah?
Okay, because on the in the series, you haven't seen it, But can I just say that in the in the first episodes, we absolutely are on their side. We're watching, you know, the details of the abuse, and you're just thinking, oh my god, free these guys. And then we start getting towards the end of the series and they flip it a little bit on us and they really make us question are these guys that manipulative? Where they made the whole thing up like you are questioning that at the very end.
The director said he was trying to tell it from different points of view. Well, he I don't think he made that clear. I think that he was trying something artistic that slopped. And what I have noticed is there's a lot of people, even though the people who really know the case well usually are critical of the series, I have noticed people coming to the Brothers defense having seen it, So you know, it's got some redeeming value. I suppose.
Yeah.
I even said today just before that the Netflix series in Luin's team speeding up his decision, So it's obviously had some good there.
Yeah, well what he said was, I mean, he hasn't seen it. What he said was that he got so many media calls that he couldn't handle them all.
Like just bringing let him out. I'm over there.
That's why I had to have a press conference, because his staff couldn't handle all the all the inquiries.
Do you think this could start a dangerous precident where people reference this case if they've been abused, you know, to kill their abuser, Like, is that going to be a dangerous presidant going forward?
You know, people were talking about that thirty years ago. They called it the abuse excuse, as if people were going to now start killing people because of the Menendez brothers and the abuse excuse. And I say that if you are in a situation where you have been legitimately, you know, abused and grown up and your brain didn't develop right and you're in a panic and you kill somebody, I don't think people are thinking about the Menendez brothers when they're living their daily lies.
And yeah, and at the end of the day, you're still going to prison. You're not getting off scot free. You know, you're just not death sentence or life without parole perhaps in that situation about today, Hazel, stick around because we've got a lot of people that wanted to ask you a question. If that's okay, just a real quick one next, okay, okay, all right, thanks so much. Hazel Thornton. She is one of the original jurors in the Menendez case, and if you've just tuned in, the LA District attorney held a press conference recommending to the judge that they be released on parole immediately. The judge, of course has to make a decision on that, but all those things will be developing in the next twenty four hours, so that's a big deal.
If you do want to ask Hazel a question. Thirteen one O six five.
Yeah, monsters, the series on the Menendez brothers has gained a lot of interest, and we just heard earlier the district attorney recommending the boys be released on parole immediately if the judge signs off on that. One of the original jurors, we're talking to, Hazel Thornton, who always wanted the boys to not be sentenced in the first place. But unfortunately the women on the jury were opposed strongly by the men, and it was a hung jury. Hazel. One of my questions I had was, was it an evenly split jury in terms of men and women?
On Eric's first jury, it was evenly split between men and women, and none of the women. You said that we didn't want them to be sentenced. We did actually want them to be sentenced for manslaughter.
Okay, And that would have been like, what a seven or eight year sentence?
Is that right?
I have that at that time here it would have been eleven years per count, which is twenty two years.
Each, okay, And that seems a little more fair. I think you know, that seems reasonable. And so if they had of listened to you and the men not been so swayed by the pressure they were getting from the public and the media to not be gullible and weak, then we would have probably had this result way back then, Yes.
And we wouldn't have had to undergo the incredibly unfair second trial.
Yeah, which was unfair, and that we saw that. Did it get really heated in that room?
Yes, people talk about the women who they guessed that the women were voting emotionally, but it was really the men who were emotional. They were the ones who were pounding on the table and yelling and calling us names.
Were they really what were they saying to you?
I don't care to repeat it.
Oh is it that bad.
Inside inside on the table? Is there like security or anything there to stop things like that happening?
Because I imagine jurors would get quite like emotional sounds.
Didn't We didn't come to blows. But no, there's nobody else in the room. There was a bailiff outside, but there was nobody in.
The room with us. Was there one punish of a juror you know, the one you see on TV shows that's just so annoying.
Well, if put it this way, the only one that I ever see from the second trial is not annoying. So if you see somebody from the first trial, who's annoying? And oh well, actually there's two juries though, so the most annoying one I can think of wasn't even on my jury.
So when you see these two juries, I'm confused by what is with the two separate juries.
During the first trial, there were two juries, one for Eric one for Lyle.
Oh sorry of course, yeah, yeah, gotcha.
And in the second trial there was only one jury, all right.
So it were hung for each In the first oh, yeah, and you asked, that's about.
The gender split. So on my jury we had exactly six men and six women, But on the other jury it was a little bit different makeup. There were seven I think men and five women, and so it wasn't as evenly split, but it was roughly meant against women.
And is it okay when you're in that jury you have to come to the decision. You all have to agree or can it be as.
No, it had to be unanimous.
It was terribly because I thought sometimes they might make exceptions where just one is disagreeing and they'll go with the majority. Has that been done before?
Or it's no one.
Person one person? Well, it depends on I think there might be a category of crime where you don't have to be unanimous. But and in our case, it had to be unanimous and one person could have hung the jury. But it was six against me.
Yeah, I wasn't ever going to get there.
Rachel's called through. Rachel, you're on air with the first one of the first juror members, Hazel Thornton. What would you like to ask her?
Hey, guys, I just think why should they be released to kill two people? Why do you think they should be lit off.
Because of except well, first of all, people get hung up on the fact that they don't believe that they were abused, and so I say a few things to that. One is, there's all kinds of abuse. There's sexual abuse, and of course there are no cameras in the bedroom, you know, capturing that. But there's also a neglect and physical abuse, and mental and emotional abuse. Now, if you've got fifty people testifying on their behalf, you know, it's kind of hard to ignore the kind of support that they're getting in the courtroom. In addition to the expert witnesses who talk about how they were raised and how that affects their brain development and what kind of a crime it was. You know that we had someone talking to us about what constitutes an organized I mean, yeah, like an organized crimes as opposed to a disorganized crime. So they concluded, the experts did that it was a crime of passion, which indicates that they were in fear at the time, which is what they maintained. So there's all of these factors, including the fact that it was never up to the defense to prove anything. It was up to the prosecution to prove the elements of murder. So, yeah, all of the elements of murder were circumstantial. And the judge said, if you've got a piece of circumstantial evidence and you've got two reasonable explanations for it, you're to go with the explanation that points towards innocence, not the one that points towards the right.
And can I ask you, Rachel, do you believe they shouldn't be released even though they've served thirty five years, despite the fact that they that their frame of mind and what they went through might have altered, maybe a more rational way of thinking.
Yeah, I understand that, but I just think they've killed two people. What's going to stop them doing it again?
Oh do you really think? I don't know?
Oh, man, I don't know about that.
I would People are asking me, would I mind if they move next door to me, and I say, sure, why not? They're not that society is not in danger if they get out.
I don't believe they. Have you ever spoken to them?
Yes?
Oh you have.
Not often?
But yes on the phone or is it by like male?
Well, on the phone?
What are they like?
Well, they're very you'll find this hard to believe, probably, but they're very polite, they're very nice, they're very smart, they're very they have senses of humor. And one of the reasons that that that the gascon has recommended resentencing is because they have led exemplary lives in prison. They despite the fact that they never had hope of getting out themselves, they have helped to rehabilitate, rehabilitate fellow inmates so that they can get out. And they've they've done all sorts of they've educated themselves, they've got their part. They participated in and created prison reform projects, and they have basically grown up in prison and matured.
And used it for something good rather than bad.
And by helping other inmates try and get an earlier release, they're really showing that they have learned from that and probably not a danger to society exactly.
Yeah, I would agree with you, Steven. We going to take one quick call.
Go ahead. You're on with Hazley original Dura in the Menendez trial.
Good morning, guys, how are we good?
Good?
Just kind of quick question.
There's a scene in the series where they the boys wade a book that gave them hints on what to say to help fabricate that they were abused. Do you think it's possible that they made up the whole thing.
I do not think it's possible if they made up the whole thing was brought up in trial and there's no evidence to support that that happened. That movie is fiction. It's got some elements, of course, of truth, but it's got a lot of fiction in it. I think that everyone who has seen the series, the drama series Monsters should also watch the document the new Netflix documentary called The Menendez Brothers.
Yeah, they say that's more a wall you see, it's more accurate because it's actual footage, you know. Yeah, yeah, it's not a recreation. Well, Hazel, thank you for your time. What great news this morning, and we hope that they actually are released very soon and that it does get signed off from the judge. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
It would?
Thank you, Thank you so much. Can you can check out Hazel's book Hung Jury, The Diary of the Menendez Dura wherever you get your books.
Sounds like a great read.
But in the meantime, coming up next, we're going to do What's in my Mouth that double passed to see Luke Holmes when he comes to Australia on tour. If you want to play thirteen when I six fight?
What's in Jackie's mouth?
Yes, the Kyle and Jackie Oh show, Jackie's hanging out with Cooper John's this morning and Luke Homes is going on tour this summer. You can head the Frontier Touring dot com for tickets. But we've got to double pass giveaway.
Right now if you get it right. And guess what's in my mouth? Which I'm about to put in. But I've just read the clues and Locke has been assigned the job this week to do the clues.
Oh, I see dirty enough this job.
He's not, he's not. And I think, Lockie, you've messed this up big time. Like I'm reading the clues here and they don't even apply to the object.
What is it like too literal?
It's he's done. He's confused himself as to what the object is. He keeps thinking, I can't say because it'll give it away. But it's adjacent to what this object is. It does not apply to this object. Oh no, do you understand Locke? You've confused and messed it up a little bit.
Sorry, I didn't want to confuse people too much. But anyway, let's see how people go.
All right, we'll go for the rest of the show.
That in mind, guys, that the clues won't even apply to this. It's good luck. Okay, Tom, you're going to be furzed up.
Tom.
Okay, here's your first clue, com gun by Rocky. I've been touted my little finger.
I've been touched a lot by little fingers.
Touched by little fingers a bit.
I don't know how appropriate. That's not a glove.
Sorry, I like you're trying to thought though.
Okay, Jason is up neckt hi.
Yeah, heya.
That was Jackie.
Used to if I'm putting it in my mouth.
Okay, second clue, Locky the geek can't stop talking about this.
I love that you put yourself in there, Locky. And also, can I just say, I've never once heard you talk about this, never once.
Not this particular thing.
What do you think it is?
But it is adjacent to what he would usually talk about, So maybe.
Just the first but Lolly, no, no, no, I now see the object. I get where Lockie was going with it. It's not that much of a stretch, but.
It's not he's talking. It's a different the actual Yeah, yeah, I don't reckon that is.
It's not the right answer.
If they yeah, you got to say no.
If they say an actual yeah, no, it's absolutely okay.
We're going to discuss this after Marina.
Hi, Hi, Hi, Jackie high home.
Okay, I was filling up after a good pump, after a good pump. That said, I love filling up it yep.
Is it like a toy dump truck or something.
Oh yeah, I'll give you that. It's a toy car.
It's a.
Dump truck. Was very specifical.
It was so specific. Yeah, all his clues, all your clues applied to real like race cars. That's what I was confused about their lockeye.
Okay, sorry, but it would have been a little bit not the ones.
Not the ones I just did.
No, I know.
No, he had the clues first and the object second.
Yeah. I al went with other clues that didn't it made more sense. But you've got yourself the prize of the double pass the sea. Lookkme, so well done, Marina, thanks for playing. Thank you.
My favorite.
One of his clues I'm just reading through her says, if I'm full, you can also fill my booty up and then in.
Brackets he put boot of car.
Yeah, I know what the hell is You can't even open a hot wheels there is no boot.
Okay, we're going to do a round of our news and we'll take your last calls. Guys, if there's anything on your mind. I'm thirteen one six five Jaggio. Yeah, Sabrina can't enter. We love that song Espresso.
Yeah, that's very good.
Sorry, I just looked up at Cooper and looked at you.
And waiting for you to address this.
What's happening?
You're wearing a bed downer. All of a sudden, we're in a do rag?
What's that to do rag?
What is a dog when you put a bandanna over your head. I just wanted to try it for I've seen it outside and then I just wanted to try it.
No, it's no good, not a good look.
No, the cap is way better.
It's like the Peter fitz Silon's look.
Oh yeah, I know.
Yeah, I'd leave it to him.
I would do a thing. I don't know.
I could be wrong.
What do you think from the gay perspective, Brooklyn?
In your gay Yeah, yeah, I'm making the call of half of It's just not right.
I'm mappy for you everyone to do what they want.
You know, it's a good joy if you like it.
Like, remember I went through the eighties fed a week ago and I had eighties here.
Now you may not have liked that, but you didn't say anything.
So you just won't do Now I feel free to well, now you can say it.
Yeah, I think you look like anyway, As I was saying, Sabrina Carpet that this song is spread, so this girl had an encounter with Sabrina Carpenter actually ordering coffee, which is kind of surreal.
And she shared her encounter on TikTok, which has gone viral.
I saw a bunch of videos during the day of her being spotted around Chicago with this umbrella and security and actual videos of her, and I really didn't think much of it. Whatever, I decided to go on a little walk and get some coffe. Now I get to Boxtrot, I'm looking around, I'm seeing if I need any snackies. I get in line and I order.
I'm ordering. I remember that I have.
Five dollars cash, and I'm like, wow, if I use this five dollars cash, then the coffee is going to be free because girl.
Math the total was forty five.
I don't really carry change with me.
I either tip people or give it to homeless people, because I'd.
Rather give it to others than have it clashing around my purse. While I'm pulling my credit card out for this forty five cent charge, I hear a voice behind me say, I got it, a hand extend with a one dollar bill, handing it to the cash here. I turn around to thank them, and it's Sabena Carpenter in the phone flash. She's got her security around her, and I'm in shock. I have no idea what to say. Saberena Carpenter just paid for my coffee. But something popped into my head and I just blurted it out. So I looked Sabrina Carpenter right in the eye and I said, that's that me espresso.
I mean, she bought me coffee. Oh key, that's pretty cool.
Yeah have you ever have you ever paid for someone in front of your jackie?
Do you know?
I was just thinking that. I see I'm not observant enough. I need to start paying attention more. I'm on my phone. Yeah, that's real bad. I'm not like watching the person in front of me. In the queue when I'm trying to pay for something I need to do that.
Do you ever go through drive through any like McDonald's or say like anything like that. Do you ever drive through?
Yeah?
Yeah, So I'm not trying to catch you out saying saying A good way to do it is you drive through and you pay for them.
You say, person behind you, yeah, oh that's cute.
Then you don't even get to see their reaction or anything, because you're not supposed to be doing it for that reason. Though that's true, that's true giving is it?
Though?
I think you know the feeling you get from giving to charity. More people should get that feeling. You don't want to payoff.
But then you're but then you're doing it for reasons, but selfish reasons. It's not when you're looking to enlightenment. They say you've got to get to that place where it's not about the payoff for.
You, Well, what's it about then?
Genuinely helping someone else?
But you don't even know if they even give a ship.
That's the thing, Like you could pay for the car behind you. They may not need that at all.
They may just like imagine if someone pays Kyle Kyle's behind you.
Yeah, but what it starts is it starts to pay it forwards. So then they come through and they pay for the person behind them.
Guess my friend did this during COVID. She decided to do the pay it for This is a Gemma. Jim has got a heart of gold. God love her. She's always bubbly and happy and optimistic. And she started a thing where she'd go into the bottle shopping day. Now, we were all drinking during COVID, and especially we know, yes, we can make those jokes now when I'm comfortable with it, and she would say, you know, to the person next to her, I'd like to pay it forward, and you know, buy your bottle of wine. And day one went was received very well, and on day two the guy was like looked at her up and down and was like, Okay, that's weird and made her feel really shit about it, and she stopped doing it.
She never did it.
Yeah, she never did it again.
That's horrible.
I thought that was really horrible too. Well yeah, but no, but yeah, did you want to say.
Something Jackson, one of the paparazzi just texted to say, I paid for Jackie's I can the other day instead of letting her get the ticket while she was getting haird one.
That is true. I came out of the hairdresser and the pap said, you were about to get books, so I put more money in your meet up. I know, isn't that nice. They're not all bad, They're they're decent.
You know.
That was cool of him to do that.
That's a very nice.
And he's probably the one that has been taking all those pictures of you for these years.
Yeah, you know, they're not They're not all bad. Those guys like I have had days where I have really not been in the mood for it and to be followed, and I would.
I hit one of them up on Instagram.
I pulled over and I said, listen, I'm not trying to make your life difficult, but today I just don't like. I'm sorry. He goes, there's no worries, and he just goes, I'll leave you alone and drove that, which is cool.
I feel the Australian prepparade they're way better.
They're way better.
That's so true. Yeah, but they'll still get you. Don't worry if they want. They really think the stories works something it doesn't matter what you do, they're doing it anyway. Yeah. Now, Jacob Elodie has confused a lot of people overseas by going barefoot in Byron. Byron seems to be the place where all Australians go barefoot, and they're given us a name because Americans in particular, they like, I don't care if it's Brad Pitt or Jacoberlorda going barefoot.
That's disgusting.
They are confused that in Australia we all seem to wear no shoes because they keep seeing Chris Hemsworth and his wife walking around barefoot and they just think we're all walking around bearfoot.
I'm walking around bearfoot.
I do barefoot a fair outside.
Yeah, where were you walked to beach?
Like I walked to the beach, or I'll walk down to the cafe get a coffee.
I feel if there's a beach in your vicinity, it's okay.
I still I live near the beach.
I don't go barefoot. I can't do it.
I used to when I was a kid.
I used to go like our local like mall, like our actual mall where there's clothes shops.
Before walked in Bareford. Don't you feel feral. No, I don't feel like, Yeah, maybe if you're in a beach town it's acceptable.
Yeah, I think if you're near a beach, it's fine.
What kind of is a little bit? Yeah, I wouldn't walk through the.
City like, I wouldn't go through the city with it.
See.
I even have trouble walking barefoot in the house.
What.
Yeah, I have to get a personally, like I put shoes on in the house. Even that I struggle with sometimes, Like I'm more comfortable with shoes.
What do you do if people say, like, can you take your shoes off at the front? You know, people don't like Yeah.
I'm fine with that, Like I can't do it, yeah, but I just don't love it. Yeah.
What is the texture of your feet on the floor?
I think they're so soft? Like everything hurts, don't you find when you're walking outside on normal bitumen, but all the rocks and stuff dig into your feet.
I don't feel that.
Oh you don't it toughened up.
That's why I got ugly as feet, do you?
Yeah?
Yeah. I woke up the other night I went out on the weekend. I woke up and all my toenails are painted.
What I don't understand about you, Cooper, is how you have no memory of every night you go out.
I know, so weird. I think I might've been asleep and somebody painted my toes.
Yeah, you just have big ones. So you're on a boat yesterday like he's living after the show. Guys, we're all going, you know, about our business. It's a usual weekday, not Coops out there on the boat partying shirt off.
Second week in a row, right exactly. Yeah, I know you've got to live life while you can, you do.
I'm all for that.
I think it's good.
I've taken inspiration for that movie. Yes, ma'am Jim Carrey, you have seen that, yes years ago.
Yes, and that is that what you're trying to do.
Say yes to everything.
So yes to everything, and the good things come from it.
I think you're right about that. I think there's no harm in saying yes to everything, trying everything.
Yeah, try everything once.
Yeah, I'm all for that, you know neo.
Yeah.
So he's in a relationship with two women and he's just added another one. So they're all good with each other. They all kind of hang out together. And now he has three girlfriends and this, Yeah, one of the women posted this to her Instagram account.
I want to be in the type of union where there's another energy involved, a divine, feminine energy that is caring for my man and my children when I'm away. I want it, and I will have it, and she will respect and honor me and appreciate the fact that I welcomed her into our business of family. And she's gonna love me and she's going to love him, and we are all gonna be great to each other, and I'm gonna.
Be good to her.
No, that's positive. Yeah, yeah, it doesn't sound toxic at least. And Ray, I'm such a big fan of Ray. I think she's such an incredible artist. And we've all been waiting for her second album, which we thought was coming soon. But she's just put up a post and she wrote, it's my birthday and my car got stolen with all my songwriting books in the boots. No second album anytime soon. Now, what you have a record of that stuff? Surely it's all gone.
Is that just a material an excuse to say, like to give yourself more time?
Maybe? I don't know, but it's gone, and you'd be spewing lingus because you're a huge fan of ray. I was so upset when I saw it.
You reckon, you could sit with a piece of paper and like try to think of the songs again, I reckon, you're somewhere.
Yeah, they've got to be the best one. You think like they'd be the best one in her head? She could, Yeah, the lyrics, ye, please, you think?
All right, we're going to take your last cause as we wrap up the show on thirteen one oh six five.
Okay, Alan, Jackie, oh show, they said it's Jackie and Cooper.
John's in this morning taking your last calls on thirteen one a six five.
Yep, Allan's phoned in Alan Alan Allen Allen He sorry, yeah, if.
Everyone does it, I know ed.
No, you're talking about shouting in joy Fruites earlier.
Yeah, shouting the person behind you in the drive.
Ye.
Yeah.
Well I've got a trick that I know of how to get free food into fruit.
Yeah.
I'm going to mention like food chain names. But so what you do is you drive to the microphone and then you're like, oh, it's okay, I don't want to I don't want to buy anything. It's all good, And then you have to drive through the drive through because it's like you can't go back out, and then you get to the next counter where you got to pay, and you're like, no, no, it's all good. I didn't order anything. And they're like, okay, just drive through. And then you get to the last window and just sit there and.
Then they give you the food.
They give you food, they give you whatever, and then like you didn't steal it, they give it to you.
And everything.
You just you didn't steal it, they gave it to you.
I don't know, they give it to you.
Busy though, Like it's gonna have to be a busy drive. It's got to be pretty busy, like a.
Full parameouter road like jewel laying das like as or piece. Some people out there to try it and ring.
How often do you do that?
I haven't done it for years, made stores do when we're younger, laughing as funny as and like I'm gonna be a I haven't done it, but not game enough to do it. But it's definitely a hack that works.
It's a hack. Yeah, sounds like a nice one. Alan, thank you, Bianca. Hi you're on for last course. Morning guys, Good morning.
So I have a question what do you think we're just on with the Menendez case. What do you think is going to happen once they get out of jail? Is there going to be fame just in with the whole Gypsy Rose Blanchet thing. Is there going to be fame? Is there going to be money? Is there going to be movies?
Like?
I just want to know what you guys think about it.
That's an interesting one because obviously these guys don't really they don't live and have never lived in a world where social media smartphones really are a thing for them.
So are they going to be on social media?
They can't profit from it, They can't do interviews that would you know, gain profit.
From that crime. So they'll still have a way around it, I'm sure.
Well, could they do interviews about the Netflix series? Is that a way of getting around Yeah?
I still I don't know. That's a gray area. What do you think, Brooklyn?
Well, they're also not as hot as the guys who played them.
In the next.
That's the gay perspective on all of us.
I think that added a lot of interest to the case.
You're right though, it actually did because they were so hot that there was more of an interest there definitely still we kind of have this like a soft spot for them in a way, don't we even know? Yeah, they're very different people. It's going to.
Beating crazy if they get released. The circus around I.
Feel it will be so crazy like people I'd I feel i'd line the street and watch that. I'd want to watch it more than the King and Queen. I know that's sad on my.
Part, but I think they'd have thousands of people outside the prison when they get released.
Stuff like that I feel will happen. Anyway. We'll keep you guys posted on that because that's all developing at the moment. Well, thanks Coops for filling in this week.
Don't worry about it, guys. I say it every time.
I do it for the fans, I do it for you.
Okay, thanks for that, guys.
Have a great weekend coming up Next week, Andy Cohen, Ronan Keating, Dean Lewis will be performing live. It's going to be big shows. We'll see you then you
