Edmond shooting suspect Jaylan Davis turned himself in to authorities yesterday, but this isn't his first run-in with the law. Davis, who is 18 years old, has a criminal history that dates back to when he was a minor. 

Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting in South Tulsa that occurred around noon Sunday. Police say they responded to a call near 61st and South Irvington. Witnesses told police a man walked up to a black Chrysler 300 when they heard around four or five gunshots, and the car sped off. In east Tulsa, police arrested 21-year old Darwin Vasquez-Barrios after they say he shot a man in the backyard of a home near 31st and Highway 169 Sunday night. 

According to police reports, Michelle Francis, was seen on surveillance footage hitting a student with special needs in the face. The video shows the student striking Francis first before she retaliates. Reports say she told a co-worker it was "knee-jerk reaction."

Tulsa Firefighters battled a fire at the Sheridan Ponds Apartments in south Tulsa Thursday morning, and, at this time, around 16 units were damaged by the fire. Firefighters were alerted to the apartment fire at 81st and Sheridan just after 8 a.m. When crews arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the building, and smoke could be seen from miles away. 

Sand Springs City Manager Mike Carter says two lawsuits have been filed against the City. The City of Sand Springs is being sued by a group called "Protect Sand Springs Alliance" claiming the city annexed the property illegally and they are challenging the zoning of the property. The city recently filed motions to dismiss the lawsuits.

Officers say Alexander was upset with one of the romantic partners for not showing her enough attention. She became upset and drove her blue Ford sedan onto the grass and hit the man, sending him over the windshield and onto the ground.

The proposal would have legalized in-person and mobile sports betting through a supplement to Oklahoma's Model Gaming Compact. Tribes in Oklahoma would retain the exclusive right to offer gaming and be authorized to negotiate with leading national sportsbook platforms such as FanDuel, DraftKings, and others. 

The Facebook group Stop the Sand Springs Data Center spearheaded the recall for the three councilors and turned-in over 1,600 signatures on March 31st. Residents are unhappy with the city's proposed data center.

Julius Jones, the man whose death sentence was commuted, is accused of trying to smuggle contraband into the Joseph Harp Correctional Center in Lexington in August 2024. During a search, investigators say they found a phone believed to belong to Jones and allege he gave specific instructions to a runner, even sending a Google Maps pin for a drop location. Authorities say packages contained cell phones, marijuana, tobacco, and other items.  

Alabama’s going to do a shark version of an Amber alert, but now a lot of people are confused about whether they have to bring their phone when they go swimming. The alerts will only ping you if you’re close to the beach, and only after a confirmed shark attack, and not just a sighting. And don’t expect to see a lot of them, Alabama has had just eight unprovoked shark attacks over the last 179 years.

Burger King recently made changes to its Whopper for the first time in nearly a decade. The burger now features a more premium, better-tasting bun and a reformulated, creamier mayonnaise. Toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles are prepared to taste fresher and be stacked more neatly. On the other hand, Sales at McDonald's are down. McDonald's will soon introduce its much-hyped new value menu and a new line of drinks, including a creamy vanilla cold brew coffee. 

The younger generation is playing it on a constant loop, for three days straight!  And on TikTok, some claim it has helped them win scratchers. Supposedly, it’s got something to do with numerology.

A man accidentally drives through a tattoo parlor Friday near the University of Tulsa, leading to a DUI complaint on his 26th birthday. At around 9 p.m., staff members and customers at the Anchor & Rose tattoo shop got a big surprise when a truck drove through the front of their building. The truck actually backed into the front door of the building which is located in a strip mall at 11th and Harvard near TU.
