Police say a man is dead after a domestic dispute ended with an officer-involved shooting in North Tulsa. Officers say the suspect, identified as 51-year-old Mitchell D. Folsom, allegedly shot at a woman while they were traveling in a pickup, forcing the truck off the road and into another vehicle. The truck rolled, and when Folsom crawled out, he reportedly told the woman he wasn’t going back to prison. Police say he then ran toward Whitman Elementary, triggering an immediate lockdown. Officers, drones, and K-9 units pursued Folsom into a wooded area, where he was eventually spotted hiding in a pond. Police say Folsom was shot and killed after creating a situation that was a threat to officers.
