Russell says, "Whenever somebody does something evil to us, our response is to overcome evil with good; we always retaliate by doing something good back to them. That's what keeps me sane. It becomes a way of life. Just being willing to do whatever God wants and whatever he puts in our hearts."  Russell tells a personal story, "They destroyed all the church buildings, they burned them all down, they ran all the Pastors out. They couldn't have meetings. Meetings aren't essential to Christianity. The only thing essential to Christianity is Jesus." Russell continues, "It went to relationship-based evangelism. We identify with Him, and let that be known. When we go into a given area, then people will either accept us or reject us. Jesus said, "If you send someone, and they're received, He's received, and if He's received then His Father who sent him is received. If you receive a little child in my name, then He's received. And God will get His foot in the door." Russell continues, "We're just interested in going where the Lord leads us, and in identifying with the Lord so that when we get there, people can decide whether they're going to receive us or not.  And so, you can evangelize that way; you don't have to get into religious acts that would infuriate these terrorists. God starts touching hearts, one by one. Next things you know, Communist leaders are getting converted and being called by God to replace the Pastors and missionaries that they killed." www.spiritofmartyrdom.com
