Ukraine special: Love draws me out to be here

View descriptionShare

Guest: Yaro Rudenko  |  Bob Moffitt interviews Yaro Rudenko.  "The Lord has always been moving in my heart to do missions", says Yaro Rudenko.  "When there are very dark moments, Christians need to be the light and the salt of the earth, even when it's hard." Yaro continues, "I felt like Jonah; if I would have stayed in America, I would have walked out in disobedience, so it was a privilege to respond and say yes...to save those who can be saved."  Yaro shares stories of being on the ground in Kiev distributing food, and sharing the gospel with Ukrainian soldiers and their families. Referring to James 1:1, "When I accepted Jesus into my heart, I said, 'Jesus, I want to be your bond servant, and so my life is not about advancing my kingdom, but advancing your Kingdom.'" Yaro continues, "And so it was a difficult task for me to come here; I felt I needed to be obedient to Jesus; In certain contexts, there is a lot of darkness. There needed to be light here."  To contribute to Yaro's efforts in the Ukraine, www.changepointinc.org - on the donate tab designate "Yaro".
