Crystal Orderson is joined by Commander Romero Hector, widower of SA Navy Lieutenant Commander Gillian Hector, who tragically died along with two colleagues after being swept overboard from the SAS Manthatisi submarine during a naval exercise off Kommetjie in September 2023. As new evidence emerges and the official inquiry report remains classified, Commander Hector shares his fight for transparency and justice, questions the operational decisions taken that day, and reflects on Gillian’s legacy as a trailblazing naval officer.
