Petco is a Producer Responsibility Organisation in South Africa, working with leading brands and retailers to keep packaging out of the environment and in the recycling loop. Since 2004, they have been driving Extended Producer Responsibility – making sure companies take responsibility for the packaging they put into the market. Petco facilitates and supports the national recycling value chain, guides packaging design, builds end-use markets, and drives education and awareness. Its mission: recycle more, waste less, and advance a circular economy.

We’re joined by Boipelo Madonsela, Recycling Value Chain Analyst at Petco, to unpack the issues and share what you and businesses need to know when it comes to making smarter packaging choices

Presenter John Maytham is an actor and author-turned-talk radio veteran and seasoned journalist.
