CC Martinez 

Performance Artist, Creative Director & Cultural Architect

A self taught rogue artist who dove head first into the commercial dance industry, amassing a decade of hands-on experience, CC Martinez aka Cheshire Vineyard has become one of the most unique interdisciplinary performance artists and creative directors in the game. With a foundational 5 years experience as a founding member and company manager of one of South Africa’s most notorious commercial dance companies, Untimitive Dance Company, as well as touring the world as a close collaborator and mentee of the auteur FKA Twigs



HaneemChristian is a graduate of Gender Studies and Environmental and Geographical Sciences from the University of Cape Town. After graduating, Christian forged their way as a formidable Creative Director and Photographer, with a particular focus on representation within the Black and Brown LGBTQIA+ community.



Salon Kewpie: The Legacy Project initiative



Ten artists have donated work to raise funds for this initiative: Lionel Davis, Marsi van de Heuvel, Oliver Scarlin Chennells, Jody Brand, Haneem Christian, Stephané Conradie, Ben Orkin, Dominique Cheminais, Githan Coopoo and Nanna Venter.



The timed auction will be available on Latitudes Online from 17 - 26 April 2024.

The powerful rock musical that scooped eight Tony Awards in 2007 including Best Musical, is directed by award winning writer and actress Sylvaine Strike (Firefly, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Donkerbos, District 9,The Promise). 

The critically acclaimed, ground-breaking musical that is loosely set in 1895, has consistently pushed boundaries and captivated audiences with powerful storytelling, unforgettable music and thought-provoking themes that surround the trials and tribulations of growing up in the oppressive society of the day. Based on Frank Wedekind's controversial play.
Please note that Spring Awakening contains mature themes, partial nudity, sexual situations as well as explicit language .
No persons under 13.

Eskom’s Turnaround Strategy

Data published by Eskom tracking the performance of its fleet for the first quarter of the year shows that while the group has improved breakdowns and slightly boosted energy supply, tanking demand has given South Africa some breathing room.

Detailed analysis of Eskom’s data by independent energy analyst Pieter Jordaan shows that first quarter power demand in 2024 was 5.7% lower than the same period in the previous year, dropping from 25.95 to 24.47 GW/hr.



For the same period, power supply only increased by a marginal 0.4% from 23.24 GW/hr in 2023 to 23.33 GW/hr in 2024.

Notably, Compared to 2023, power supply remained stagnant, posting near-identical output for 10 out of the first 13 weeks of the year.
