No, I don't have to be because I was in sales. I know how this works. I used to run retail stores. I've been in commission sales like I know how prices are adjusted and how they add other things and other taxes and things like that. Companies are not just gonna give away merchandise. They're still in it's to get. It's it's all to get you guys all juiced up to blow your paychecks for Christmas. So it starts the day after thinking, one of those guys, I'm a buyer. I'm a buyer. That's fine. People.
My wife wanted to because she saw this that it was a Black Friday deal, and she wanted to take a vacation this summer. Uh, So she booked us a week vacation in the Dominican Republic for me, her, my son, and his girlfriend. So we're gonna go down men with the Uh.

Probably, it's not even sure. So I'm looking forward to that. And it was really discounted big time, to be honest, it really was. Now that's a little bit different. You're talking about hotel rooms and airfare, so you could see the difference in prices. But I was good, and then I was I turned on the Home Shopping Network and they were doing the NFL edition. Man, that's some really good stuff. You know what I mean jackets.
I saw those jackets, but I'm not buying it because if I order one of them, damn jackets that cheap and I don't get it or it's a cheap jacket, I'm gonna be pissed.
Even if it doesn't get deliveries.
That where you're saying, yeah, I've been yeah, dude, these places, I just I don't trust online. I'm an old school shopper. I gotta see it. No, No, I'm a no, I'm an old school guy. I gotta see it. I gotta feel it. I gotta try it on. I do not like buying clothes or jewelry online. I don't I understand jewry even electronics. No, I let me go. Let me make sure there is a TV in this box. Of the year sale, right right.
And if you go and if you go six weeks after that, it's the Valentine's Day sell, And if you go six weeks after that, it's the Easter. Saying.

I live thirty miles from the Canadian border, and a lot of the Canadians come down and go to Best Buy in Walmart and Home Depot and anything they can buy down here in America, I mean everything and everything, and then they just take it back home. They love coming down here.
Well that's different when you're coming from it. But that's weird to hear from Canada because I thought it was cheaper in Canada. It's more expensive up there.

One of my first cruis this year in summer, it was.
Great, it's beautiful, it's great. You hit. I'm not a guy either, you hit different islands. If you're on the strict DIY like me, you're not really too worried about the food because the food's okay.
On a cruise, the room's real small, like you're claustrophobic. And I had a standard one.
And i've but I've always had like the above, like I've had suites, like I literally have had full blown like studio apartment. There's there's full blown studio apartments on somebod these cruise ships. And when I say that, I mean that like there's closets and bathrooms and dressing rooms and you no, there's there's a sitting room. There's two interests to your balcony. Yeah, there's not one entrance. There's two interests to your balcony.
Now, if you get one that's on the bottom, bottom bottom of the boat and it's not like a window or a you know, the inside one, then it's a little kind of close.
I can never do that. I can never do that inside room. The rooms on the inside with no windows, I could never do. No way, I could never that right there, because I gotta see what's going on exactly.
I gotta.
I gotta see the water left guy. Yes, I love a good cruise, especially down in the Caribbean where it's gonna go to Cakes and Turcos and it's gonna go down to Saint Martin. Are gonna go I looked, Yeah, Dominican Republic or Ucultan, the Yukotan Peninsula and go to Cozameo and Mexico. Yes, but those cruises the Bahama, those cruisers are great.
The summer ones.
Yeah, oh my god. Well, September is the best time because it's still hot in the Caribbean, just not as humid, so you're still gonna sweat, You're still gonna get a great tan and it's right before hurricane season. It's the perfect time. I cruised once in April and the weather wasn't great. There's a lot of great deals on cruises now, also for Black Friday. Yeah, but if you got Triple A and you're old, you still get.
The same deals.
That's true, right, If you got Triple A, you get those deals year round. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Black Friday is a scam.
Guys, enjoy yourself. If you are shopping out there, because I know there's a lot of pe The days of getting up at three in the morning and waiting in line are over. You know those days are gone. We're just even midnight, not three in the morning.
People used to be standing outside, sleeping outside, like people do that sleep outside? Honestly, man, for a damn iPhone? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with you? Don't you know that they've made seven million of those? There's plenty of them.
Yeah, you're in Vermont. You can just walk in. I told the guy, I go, do I have to wait in line early in the morning to get the new iPhone sixty? And he goes, I don't think so. We probably won't sell one to some time during the weekend. You could just walk in. Oh great, that's fine.

Yeah, he said, glad you guys forgot about the Vikings cold Weather van Is playing the University of Minnesota when they were building a new stadium and lost to the Seahawks in twenty sixteen. I remember that, what was it a twenty nine yard field goal, a twenty eight yard field goal. Oh yeah, blairwah yeah. That was great field advantage that day. Whole field advantage.
My dad's still so mad about that.
By the way, I'll tell you one of the worst weather games I went to. This is a good one.

I had just moved to Los Angeles with my parents. I mean I must have been in like seventh grade, and I was at the local McDonald's or one of the McDonald's with my dad and we were eating and the guy next to me had some kids, two kids, and he had rams Vikings playoff tickets in his hand, and me be in a big mouth to go, hey, mister, which two of the two tickets for me and my dad? I mean, you just can't put it up, and every just had to sit there getting soaked wet. I can't remember how. Gosh, it must have been a long time ago. Looked at patrick fourteen to seven playoff game, Vikings beat the Rams in Los Angeles on it. Yeah, it had to have been a long long time ago, but it was coming down Cata.

I want to think it is my stepdad and I went. Flurry started and then it was snowing by the time we were already in the car and driving on I ninety five home, and the flurries kind of made it kind of cool. But it wasn't like, oh my god, let's get out of here. It wasn't anything like that.
I was on the sideline for the Packers Bears and I couldn't take it anymore. Yeah, I don't want to sound like it was. I had a press passed, but I know it was just all b Yeah, who's killing me?
Who wants to? Unless I'm playing, I'm not standing outside when it's like eleven degrees. I'm just not.
That's why Kidder said, some of these players don't put on long sleeve shirts and they want to be a tough guy, and they look at me. I'm you know, I don't feel the cold. That doesn't bother me. No, you're just a lunatic.
Now, I don't think it's that also to you. Gotta remember when you sweat with sleeves on, right, that gets cold, and that helps, and that helps actually produce hypothermia. So I get why guys don't wear sleeves. Gotcha, you can get hypothermia, Yeah, you can get That's why they say. Well if you fall in the lake or you get wet in the cold, so you have to take a clothes off, be like what, I'll freeze the depth. Yeah, but you're gonna get hypothermia die if you keep that on, right.

Well, yeah, you think it's smart to getting your your jeep wrangler and flip flops and drive forty five minutes to the bar to watch the game on the day you have to do a showing Thanksgiving Day and then have people come dig you out while you sit in the car smoking a stogy listening to the game on the radio.
There's a game in tomorrow though. Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Chiefs totally a thirteen point favorite. Is this is gonna be a blatter. The Raiders is gonna show up with I don't know what they're gonna do about quarterback because the Minshew magic isn't there anymore. You know. I thought that this was gonna be a good landing point for Deion Sanders and his son should Doure. But of course we've got to wait to see where the you know, the the draft order is. That's gonna make all the difference in the world. Raiders have been awful this year. This could be a complete blowout.
Yeah, I man, I think I think this is a blowout. I want to think the Raiders can show up and make it a fight because of what head coach Antonio Pierce said. But coaches can talk all they want, they don't play no more. The players have to play. And you know the Chiefs remember last year. Remember the Raiders beat them on Christmas Day last year? Remember that game. I believe that was in Kansas City. So they have gone in there and they have beaten him. I think too. Out of last three or four, last three Patrick checked out for me, the last two, I had a three or two out of four. I believe the Raiders have gone into Arrowhead and got that dub over them.
But I think tomorrow Huh. What do you think about Kansas City? Though they're ten and one, but I still don't believe them. I think it's it's a you're on borrowed time when you keep winning games by seven points in the less, I know what you're you won your last ten games or something insane like that. You're not dominating the opponent. You look pretty pedestrian up against Carolina. What are you thinking about Kansas City right now?
Before the season started, I made a big proclamation that I was not gonna fall into going against Kansas City until somebody can prove to me that they can beat them consistently. H You know in the postseason, right somebody did Buffalo? Remember I picked Buffalo to beat him. I thought Buffalo would be Kansas City, but I said, yeah, but they can't beat him in the postseason. But this is a regular season. Again, Josh Allen's beating Pat Mahomes in the postseason before, think two or three times, but he just can't do it in January, and that's when it matters most. So I think Kansas City's fine. Now. I agree with you flying close to the sun, sooner or later, you're gonna melt. And I just I feel like Kelsey. He's still good, but he's not nowhere near the player he was two three years ago.

He's not He's not even close to that. And you know it's they're going for three. It's gonna be tough. It's always tough to repeat. You get everybody's best game when you're the big dog. In Casey is the big dog. Even though if I put together a power five right now, which I'll do Saturday for Martin and I show do it tomorrow if you want to do it, I would have Detroit number one, because I think Detroit showing that. But you know someone's gonna happen to beat them in January.

They are number two just by kind of default. But I can still see them being the best team in football. And until someone beats them in January, I just won't pick against them.
But it won't It won't surprise you, it won't surprise me if somebody beats them, if they upset them along the way.
There's only two teams in the AFC even right now. I could think even right now Thanksgiving night, there's only two teams in the NFC and the AFC that I think would have a shot in a postseason game against Kansas City, and that's the Bills in the Ravens. No one else has a shot, no one else, no one else will beat them, Patt, you got the stats, so I do have the stats.
So the last time, yes, you're right, Raiders in Kansas City, they did beat them. Uh And then the other time that they've actually beaten the Chiefs, and this is just in all was actually also at Kansas City. That was not in twenty twenty twenty two.
It was actually uh a WOA twenty one.
No, it was actually in October, October eleventh of twenty twenty. They beat Kansas City, Kansas City. So that's two. It last four two, Yeah, the last I thought. So they beat him to it the last four in Kansas City. I just don't think tomorrow. I just don't see them and this this Raider team, hey, I mean not unless it's just gonna.
Be brock Bowers block bats block Bouers, Brockowers. Yeah, they're bad. The Raiders are in bad shape, man, But they don't have a quarterback. That's their only saving grace in my opinion is once again, you can't fire a coach that doesn't have a quarterback. I just don't think that's fair. You can do it if you want, it's your team. My wife made a hell of a feast today. Man if I had ate any more, I'd have gone into a coma. I might have gone into a coma.
I didn't know it, all right, Bertie, you're a big Michigan fan, just like VJ. I tried to explain to these to these guys, the rivalry just doesn't take it as much as sparkle as it used to be back in the day twenty five thirty years ago. That's beside the point. Michigan about a nineteen and a half to twenty point underdog. What's going to happen in this game? How do you review? This rivalry. How do you see it on Saturday? What's going on in this one?
Well, Arnie, all due respect, I think to the rivalry is as brutal as it's ever been. Wow, it's the greatest rivalry in all the college sports.

Started as a land war back in the eighteen hundreds. I covered ten of those games. I can promise you the schools hate each other. My dear mother went to the Universuy Michigan. I you know, I covered the team for ten years. One thing to note, though, and I'm gonna get to my handicap in a second. Here there's a notion that the game's closed because it's a rivalry. Not always. I mean, Hardball lost the first five by a total in ninety five points, and Michigan's won the last three by a total of thirty three. But be that as it may. When the game touched twenty one on Wednesday, I grab Michigan on a twenty one. I'm trying to remember when a defending national champion who's getting twenty one points the following year. A couple with the fact that Ryan Days only six and twelve against the spread in November home games in his tenure now, do I think Michigan will win the game? No, I don't. If you do, you can bet one hundred bucks and then I'll bring back nine hundred and seventy eight. It gives you about an eight point eight percent chance of winning. Not right, And there are a couple of questions. I mean, is Colston Loveland gonna play he left the game hurd against Northwestern? Is Will Johnson gonna play? If not, he's is he one hundred percent or it's always one hundred percent? Be that as it may. I think Cohle State just has too much talent on both sides of the ball. I think they have an answer for everything defensively or offensively that anybody can throw at them this year. Although I don't discount the Ryan Day factor. You know, Casey Stegel used to say teams can't beat the Yankees because they get stuck staring at the pinstripes. I think Ryan Howard, Ryan Howard, excuse me, Ryan Day looks at that wing coming gets a little freaked out. So it would not surprise me if it's a slugfest. But it will surprise me if Ohio State doesn't win by more than ten. But I think Michigan can hang that number, all right?

Vigel? Big money Bernie bags man is what I call them. I'm doing great, man, Bertie. Give us some good underdogs man. You know, Martin and I we do our atomic dog picks on the weekend on Saturday, and we do our show, and I'm looking through the NFL, and I'm looking at some of these underdogs man, and I mean, I know, I know them bum ass Jets? Is the bum ass? Just but that and half that one and a half at home? Man, with the Seahawks coming in cross country, I know you noticed that probably off the top of your head. When those West Coast teams have to fly back east and play that one o'clock kickoff, that's ten eight m for West Coast teams. That doesn't fare well for teams, man. Is that an underdog pick? People should be looking up?
Honestly, the games a stay away game for me, only because the Jets are like a drunk crossing a nicy street. They can't do anything right now. They're catching a point and a half at home, which essentially makes it a pick them game. You've got to really be discretionary in this man's NFL and pick your spots. So if I'm being honest with you, it's a stay away from me. I wouldn't. I probably wouldn't.
I wouldn't touch that game, Bertie any it just with the Raiders Kansas City, as VJ brought up, Raiders have won two of the last four in Kansas City. I don't know how they could do it again, but any chance of this one being close?
Sure if we find out that Kansas City contracted malaria tonight and when they wake up tomorrow. Look, I got a rule of thumb. I don't lay double digits ever in a divisional game. Look at all the fine folks who lay ten with the lines today. How'd that work out? So their land thirteen? Look, the Raiders just simply don't have a quarterback. And Darryl Lmnica ain't walking through that door. It's just a it's a dumpster fire. So that doesn't mean I want to grab the Raiders because they're getting double digits, But it doesn't mean I want to lay it with the Chiefs either. So again, a stay away from me. It feels like a Chiefs win by ten or thereabouts, maybe more. But the Raiders have a fabulous ability to turn the ball over, commit stupid penalties, blow assignments, and I think Aiden o'conll is starting, but he's got a bum finger, so I don't know what the hell they do if he goes down. So sorry to break up the party, guys, but that's a stay away from me as well. Now there are some games on the board I do like, but those two are stay aways.
Game of a weekend in my opinion, Philadelphia Eagles and Raves. I had the pleasure of covering them both back to back nights. One played the Rams, the other one played the Chargers, and I was there, so if I had a chance, that's the Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson, two guys that could be running towards MVPT. The consideration Baltimore's getting Baltimore's favorite at home. This feels like, Yeah, this feels like it could be a Super Bowl preview. It really does.

I will probably fire on Philadelphia plus the three. I think they can win the game odd, right, give me a team that runs the ball like Philadelphia that's getting points, and sae Quon Barkley ud be nice if I could speak English tonight, Sakuon Barkley is the goods. Yeah, And all of a sudden, Philly looks like a four quarter team that can wear you down. And I got to tell you, for some reason, Philly mops up on AFC competition. They're fourteen to two out right in the last sixteen games against AFC teams. It's more of a gut play. I haven't fired on it yet, but the only side I would look to there would in fact be Philadelphia. I think you take the points and they have an excellent chance of winning out right.
And Bernie, also, I'm sorry you real quick talking about double digits at home. I warned people ten and a half commanders Dallas last week. I warned people on the show on Saturday, do not take that, and we saw how that turned out. So you're right. Double digit double division game two, Yes, double digit divisional games, You're absolutely right, don't take them.
Bernie, the bills, we talked about this earlier. Big weather problems. They're going to get like two feet of snow by the time that thing kicks off against the forty nine ers. But the Bills, that's a lot of lumber. They got a lay seven in this one.
Yeah, I think the Bills win the game, but you look to grab the points. San Francisco will play desperate. They've just played poorly. They committed nine penalties last week, wiped out an eighty seven yard Deebo Samuel return. They've just not been able to click on all cylinders and all three phases of the game. But I think they keep that game within the number. It feels like Buffalo by a field goal.
Buffalo by a field goal. Talk to me about this Saints game, man, Saints Rams, Rams on the road favor though the Saints fight though many they're trying to hold on. They fired their coach, and the Rams they're trying to figure out whether they're going to get to the playoffs. There that division is still could be had, though no one wants to run away with the NFC West.
