Two coaches that we celebrate more during the E Cup more than any other, Darvin Ham and Doc Rivers.

Yeah yeah, Darvin Ham's undefeated. He's twelve and oh you know yeah, no, it's Darvin Ham is I mean, it's a lot different. It's a lot different this.

Year getting after it, no question about it. You know he got his uh look he got his bonus. I want to know what he spent his bonus on last year. No, no, I have questions. Everybody dismisses the money. Look, yeah, we always laugh about it. And it's the reality check for folks because I've heard it dismiss.

After taxes, blah blah blah.

Like no, no, no, no, no, someone's still gonna hand you a giant ass check that you were gonna play the game anyway. Wait, I get a little bit more, please and thank you. It's another car, it's another boat, it's another you name it. More money in five twenty nine accounts, pragmatism and retirement accounts and all that stuff. The point is that telling someone you're gonna get another one hundred grand or five hundred grand doesn't matter how many millions these guys make The whole point is you're wanting to earn more, isn't it. Isn't that what we always complain about? And then when they do, it's like, ah, that's nothing. That's not gonna motivate them. My asciday motivating them. Your guys were fighting in the locker room of how they were gonna spend it.

Darvin ha, he might get it if they win, he might get a tattoo that because they would be they'd be fourteen and oh right, it would before him and tryan prince historian prince is also twelve and oh like they might get matching fourteen and oh tattoos. You can't beat us in the E cup. You cannot beat a fourteen and oh E cup. And then like with a chance to like, wow, that's permanent. You want to keep it? No, No, I would. I screw it. I go fourteen and then walk away.

Not gonna have a little machine where you can give yourself a temporary tattoo.

Oh there you go? Oh god huge, But I mean you can run a couple of lines text. You have a machine that does that. Yeah, you have a temporary tattoo machine. I bought it. We we have a bunch of kids that have birthday parties and stuff. Man and like little kids in the in the complex. And they're like, eh, go on, I'm sure that sounded great. Hey, yeah, go to the go to the Harmon's kid party. Yeah. What they're doing they're giving the given tattoos to people. Wait what Yeah right, he's got a temporary.

He's got he's got no, he's got a guy in the in the seat and he's ready to go.

I'm sorry, Geryl, I'm sorry, Jenny. I know you wanted to go to this party, but I am not allowing you to go to this party. He put a wolf's head on her right cheek. We got a tattoo, guy. Hey, ye look at hey, you don't look at that. Melissa is getting the clooney from dust till Dawn tattoo. It's gonna look great, just with the flames licking out from under her arm where the where the sleeve of the t shirt comes to it end. Like you have a temporary tattoo machine. I just picture you at home, old they giving yourself temporary tattoos. Like is it like a like? Is it a roll on? Is it? Is it something where you're sticky? You have to hold onto it like it's a color form or something, and then you got a roll over the top and it's all good. Go see go to the Harmon party, you go get everybody's got tattoos. Coming home a buddy. I learned more about you every single day, man, I really well, I'm an open book. What else do you know? I don't know, No, I'm I'm waiting for the day where police Hey, police found this inside Mike Harmon's. Wow, here's all them on. Now, here's all the things they found when we're going to look for a wayward youth who thought they were getting a real oh come on, but it was only that's a bridge too far right there, pal, Here is an entire wall covered with Paul Konerko paseball cards. There must be one hundreds. Did you know there's hundreds of them.

It's a personal collection of Paul Canerco cards, a couple of autographs, a couple of game use cards.

He's got cards with the Dodgers back in the damn and there's a lot of stuff. He's got a mosaic of Greg Lozinski's face made out of Greg Lozinski cards. This is incredible. That good.

That is a good art art project for one side retire.

Oh boy? All right, so there's that, and now I really want now, I really we need to do like Heraldo Rivera opening your vaults, like going to your Okay, man, let's see what it's uh Now, if you think that was weird enough, boy, I'll tell you. I don't know. Man, Let's say you made it a lot weirder than it had to be. Oh mention, and you moved on. I'm sorry. How many how many people do you know have a temporary tattoo machine? How mean?

How many people growing marketplace? There are lots of competitors in that space right now, okay, including ones where you can send in your logo and they'll print you one of what ever size you need that.

Will last up to several weeks.

So if you're going festivals, you're going out in your your summer adventures that you want to say, hey, I've got ink, except you really don't because you come back and you gotta face mom and Grandma again.

Guess what ain't gone? No, let's see I hear that, and that's fine, But how many of them are promoting for kids parties like you are? Like that? I think that's I think that's kind of the bridge too far. Kids kids, kids come off from all over the place of Covey, So that could get a temporary tattoo.

You never got one of those out of a cracker jack box to cracker Jacks, not cracker jacks, cracker Jack. Leave off the s unless you want to feel my wrath.

That was fine, but hey, go to that go to that guy's house, get a temporary tat I'm full service, I am the entertainer. The only the only way to move on from this story is to get to something that maybe is even a little bit more bizarre. And so we get to Aaron Rodgers and UFOs, Yes, the jets of it. That part of the season where Aaron Rodgers is like, Okay, what am I going to say? I she got left. I'm just going on TV to have fun now. So he goes on Pat McAfee's show earlier today and it segues into a conversation about UFOs and that's not a position. That's unidentified flying objects. If you remember last year in Hard Knocks, Aaron Rodgers said he thought he had a big UFO experience back when he was a rookie coming out of cow except he went in further detail today because something happened recently where he thought maybe there could be aliens in New Jersey. Here's Aaron Rodgers from earlier today.

Do you know westmand going on in Jersey lately? And I'm not talking about the football, not just talking about the football. He's been some crazy things going on.

The football sucks. Some drone there's some drones in the sky.

Yeah, there's some interesting things going on, interesting things with the drones. I don't know what's going on with them. Maybe just some kids messing around. Maybe maybe not though, Oh.

It's happened in New Jersey. This is a New Jersey, Jersey.

Yeah, the New Jersey.

There was a senator that just made a comment about it keeping our citizens safe. They need to tell us what's going on, if it's military or non military or UAP or whatever the hell it has. But there's people in Jersey. It's you know, it's people interested in what the hell was going on with you. I'm thinking about having a Friday Night's five E experience where you call in the you have a big kind of meditation circle, and then you call in the aliens and you use little green lasers to bring them in. So thinking Friday night, maybe doing if you know, if it's a night night, nice night and it's clear night, might might try and have a little five V experience bring them in.

Okay, Hey, now, okay, okay, okay, for first the first things. First things, for forget about the fact that yells in football. Secondary man, I'm about to have a five E experience meditation circle. Okay, I understand that. Everybody around you know, try I understand that. I've seen that. I've seen many movies with seances and ouiji boards. Okay. And then you call in the aliens? Okay, okay, how do you do that? Like? Like where where? Where is that? Like you you you buried the best part of the story. You call in the aliens? How do you call in the aliens? How do you do that? I don't understand you call them the aliens? Does he call it like an audible green eighteen Green eighteen, which has been audible for the last like twenty five years. Does he just go green eighteen and little green men come in? Every time I say green eighteen, here come the little green men. Is that out works? I said, that's how it works. That'd be pretty awesome. That works out pretty well. Uh.

I mean this is pretty well documented in the last couple of days, so it's not like he just randomly made this up. This is something I've read numerous articles about. And then earlier today you had a senior FBI official said they don't know who's operating the drones or whether they pose a risk. Well, we just don't know, that's the concerning part, Hurt. Yeah, you're telling me we don't know what the hell these drones and new jerseys are.

Yeah, that's right, all right, there, we go keep everybody safe here, everybody safe. So so that's the first thing I don't understand, Like, if it's the Green aids, that's the way to call in the aliens. But I need to know how to call on the aliens. But then he said alasers. You use little green lasers to bring them in. So you call the alien and then you use these lasers to bring him in, kind of like a tractor beam, like it's Star Wars. I'm guessing I think that. But where do you get the lasers from?

Like, I don't nessarily all these differentology exists. Man, you think it's all just sci fi movies.

No, Man, come on, you're not gonna believe what I just did. What I just made ten grand because I gave Aaron Rodgers some of these toy pistols from from Toy Story four and I packed them up to make them look like lazer. I said, hey, use these lasers and bring in the little green men. Man, they're gonna come in. We're gonna get aliens. And he paid ten grand for I paid seven to seventy nine online from toys r us dot com. This is fantastic. I can't wait to get back at this guy.

And I had the battery powered little green Aliens from the Claw Machine.

Maybe that would speak every three minutes a time, oh every time Rogers says something to go, oh, so apparently you call in the aliens somehow, which he did not tell us how, No, you gotta keep that secret. You use lasers to bring him in. But he didn't say how he got the lasers. Well, he can't disclose everything he's about of secrets. He's a man who knows things. Yeah, but that's still something like I mean, I mean, you can't just say, oh, yeah, I'm gonna call the aliens in. He says it, like like I would say, hey, I'm thinking Friday night of going to go to the movies and maybe maybe going out for a drink after that, I'm gonna have a five V experience. I'm gonna call the aliens in and I'm gonna use lasers to bring him in. Like what I would say this though, But that's a Friday night for him.

Like he's he's he's signed the FBA, FBI guy as well, right, and these senior executives and scientists of all these things, maybe they need to call Aaron Rodgers. Maybe he needs to take a leave of absence for the final four weeks of this NFL season.

If he discovers actional secure, that's fine. If he discovers aliens, that's why it's worth it. I mean the NFL is I mean, you really discover aliens. No one gives a crap about what goes on with the Jets, Like I just I mean, you go on a floor all by yourself in the Hall of Fame.

To hell with whatever Dion was trying to suggest, this is, this is next level stuff. If he's broker and crap with aliens.

Eighteen, Here comes the Aliens Grede eighteen. No, don't say it. They're gonna destroy us all red forty seven. It was too aggressive. That was too aggressive. It will be considered an act of war. What are you doing, oh man? And you wonder why I'm so excited about Wan soda. This depression will not just stand man. Jason Smith Show with Mike Garvin Live the direg dot Com Studios. You might get a little bit of our next guest, MLB Network insider extraordinaire joining us now from the owner's meetings in Dallas, where he right now has Scott Morris tied up in a chair next to him, prodding him to make him tell him where his next big free age is gonna sign. It is John Paul Morosi, what's up, buddy?

Metaphorically perhaps, but I am I am. I am joining you from from a hotel room where I am the only person sitting in it, and I have taken leave of the bustling lobby so I can find a quiet place to speak as my good friends on this evening where baseball news is overtaking the other American sports here for this week. As you may have heard, Jason, there is a team in New York that signed a certain outfielder on Sunday, that is captivating a lot of attention this week.

Well, and I was expecting you to say, hey, joining you here from the meetings. It's my pleasure to bring you. David Stearns, Hey, Jason here. All the big advice that I passed on to him all off season one. Soto's yeah, I thought you get a surprise you with Sternsy Listen, I will.

Do my best. I think David probably right now, is trying to work on the next great deal for the Mets, and at some point, and we don't know yet because of course they have not officially released and announced the Sodo signing and a press conference in New York, but when that happens, maybe maybe he will at the same time reveal that a big part of the deal was that the Sternsey and the Pope show will continue in that Wanto's going to make a weekly appearance during the season as part of the show. He is going to be the Aaron Rodgers of our show, except for performing better.

Is the idea?

Look all right, so let's start here that obviously, look the one Soto signing, everybody is talking seven hundred and sixty five million dollars for fifteen years. Give me something about the Soto signing you think needs more attention to it. What's something that, hey, we really need to be talking about this aspect of Juan Soto going to the Mets a little bit more than we have the last couple of days.

You know, it's a great question because obviously it's been analyzed so much in many, many different ways. What stands out to me, Jason, is that the Mets are now representing this group of teams in baseball, and maybe they are the best example of this, but they don't seem to have an upper bound on their payroll number or what they'll spend on any one individual player. Obviously, they spent three quarters of a billion dollars on one player, and it really drives home the point that, yeah, the Mets got the player, but the Yankees were also in there, and the Red Sox were involved in the Blue Jays were involved, and the Dodgers were involved, and you could probably to that group of five, add the Phillies, and add the Astros, but you're not going to see many players this winter sign nine figure deals with teams that are not the seven teams that I just mentioned to you, and those seven of the twenty three teams are just playing a different brand of baseball from a standpoint of their checkbooks than everybody else, and the Mets are the probably greatest example of this. And I think part of it too is in the old way of looking at baseball from covering these a lot of these winter meetings, when when a team would sign a major player, you would then turn around and say, well, if the Yankees signed Mark Tesera, or if the Cardinals signed Matt Holliday, or if the Angels sign Albert Pooles, it probably means that they're not going to sign this other top end player. But is there any evidence that they're going to stop now that they would stop and say no thanks bet Alonzo, or no thanks Christian Walker, or no thanks Corbyn Burns or Sean and I No, They're looking add and keep adding. And I think that's that is what distinguishes the Mets from literally every other team in the industry right now. They're able to perform at that level and bring in elite talent all the way around their roster.

So Beauty, I have a JP.

We always talk about opportunity costs in these situations. Jason Smith just sitting there like a kid in a candy store waiting for a giant pile a Christmas present.

There's no cap. There is no cap on theb Cohen's enthusiasm, nor is there a cap on Jason Smith's joy. Right now, this is this is a happy season of glad tidings for the New York Meds. And I guess I would add this the Los Angeles Dodgers. I mean, it's been at least a couple of days as they signed somebody, so they're due as well to make a really big flat All.

Right, Well, let's go with the other signing. And it did happen eight years, two hundred and eighteen million dollars for Max Freed. We talk about risk reward and opportunities and everything else. When we get into pictures for that length of time, that kind of money, Uh, you know, we always start wringing our hands. But Steinbrenner wasn't going to be outdone.

I guess, well, I.

Think a big part of this was the heat they were feeling. And we're about to I think see the same thing unfolded with Corbyn Burns and potentially the Boston Red Sox. Where when when they lost out on Juan Soto. I think the Yankees realized that they had to pivot and pivot quickly, and and they pivoted to somebody who who really does help them?

Now?

Is is it an overpay? Probably, to be honest with you, because based on uh Freeda's had some some forearm issues, and in terms of the durability, there's there's been a little bit of a question there. But but the Yankees had to make an answer here and and and you you both know that you understand the market. And and this, by the way, this is not the only answer. This is the start of their This is the preamble of their answer. You might say it's the main part of the argument, but their response is still being formulated. Because they need a third baseman in the first bases, they need probably another outfield bat, whether it's Cody Bellinger or someone else. So I believe that the Yankees can can I'm not going to say that they will or they should or whatever other word I'll say, but they can still bring together a team that on opening Day will be better and deeper than the one that lost the Dodgers of the World Series. But they have got a significant amount of work ahead of them. And they may have to do something really dramatic like trade for Kyle Tucker and overwhelm the Astros, one of their normal rivals in the American League. If that's going to be the case, now you know.

That's the next part of this. John Paul is obviously, Hey, the big names that could follow, which we'll get you coming up in a second. But you just talked about a couple of trades that could happen. That's something we never really talk about as much as all about free agency and who goes where, because obviously the players can go wherever they want to. But can you see like some big deals going down in the next few days while you're in Dallas.

Yes, I can. And now, whether it happens here or maybe early next week with the foundation being laid here, I do think a lot of trade conversations are happening because of exactly the issue that we discussed at the beginning of this conversation, which is that there are twenty three teams give or take, that simply cannot play on the same financial grounds as the Mets and Yankees and Red Sox and Blue Jays and others. The Dodgers obviously being part of that conversation. So there those teams, basically two thirds of the league are saying, I can't spend that money to santi Oscar Hernandez, or or to sign Corbin Burns right now or Anthony Santandre. No, no way can I go there. So you're gonna have to be smart and sign Paul Goldschmidt or or find the right bounce back believer, like like a Kyle Finnigan, or you're going to go to the trade market. And there are some interesting players I just mentioned a moment ago, Kyle Tucker of the Astros, Cody Bellinger of the Cubs, and even guys that you would not normally think are available, like Dylan Ceese and Luis Castillo. Dylan Seese just got traded to San Diego a year ago, and yet I'm hearing his name out here a lot, and you might say, well, wait a minute, why would the Padres trade somebody who's got one year left and still try to try to have the belief that they're going to make the playoffs. Anyway, they just did that. By the way, they traded Juan so To a year ago to the day, almost and they were the toughest team the Dodgers faced all October. So it can be done when it's done well. And aj brother did a fantastic job a year ago. To me, the big question now is can he do it again? Can he find a way to trade Dylan Ceeese and still be better at the end of the day by what the way of reallocating his payroll and his talent base. The same thing is true of the Houston Astros. How could you possibly trade someone as talented as Kyle Tucker who played in the World Baseball Classic it's for Team USA and is that good of a player and still find a way to make the playoffs? Well, it depends on what you get back and then what you do with the savings that you have from his payroll spot. So I think those are all of the other conversations happening right now around the industry, and I'm really intrigued to see what will happen next.

How many players will I recognize on the White Sox roster that lost one hundred and twenty one games?

Robert, does that include a couple of Major leaguers who are their GM and their manager and Chris got will Venable.

No, that's fine, for sure, very long list.

Yeah, probably not a long list. I'll say this, I do not believe that Garrett Crochet will be there. I think he'll get traded. The question Luis Robert is interesting. I don't think there's much of a robust market for Luis Robert right now. He's been just too erratic to up and down. But Crochet will get traded, and we will probably see one of their relievers get traded as well. And and hey, it is a it is a new day for the Chicago White Sox. They they've got hopefully eventually they'll have a new ballpark. But I did see I'll say this, the chairman, Jerry Reinsdorp is here. He's doing business. Tony Lrussa is here doing business. So the the White Sox are still trying to find some ways to get better. Even though, yeah, Mike, it's it's probably gonna be a little while before you can recite the names of the White Sox greats, like from the five team That was a that was a little bit ago. My friend, the last time the White Sox won the World Series.

I'm just gonna celebrate Dick Allen going into the Hall.

I guess you should so well, deserved that. I was thrilled by that news and I cannot wait to celebrate the great Dick Allen in Cooperstown this summer.

John Palmer MLB Network Insider with Us The Jason Smith Show with Mike Carmon Live from the TIREC dot Com Studios. All Right, Jp, with a combination of what you've been hearing and kind of intuiting. If I said to you, Okay, we saw Juan Soto, we saw Max Freed, the next couple of big deals, you would not be surprised to be signed. Are who and where? What would you give me?

Corbyn Burns Boston Red Sox, Christian Walker New York Yankees? Wow, Peter first Baseman. Walker is an elite defender. He grew up in Philly, so he's got some East Coast connections there. I think he'd handle the pressure of the Bronx really well. And listen, the Red Sox have to get somebody, Corbyn Burns. Yeah, there's gonna be some interesting from the San Francisco Giants. But the Red Sox, I don't know if I would use the word desperate, but they're probably close to it right now. They've got to find a way to upgrade that rotation. They missed on Freed, they missed on Soto. They have not yet acquired Garrett Crochet. They have got some serious work to do in the coming days.

Woof John Paul Morosi with some smoke right there, Corbyn Birds the Red Sox, Christian Walker to the Yankees, unless Steve Cohen is listening to this interview, in which case then he will go get both players.

Get in my office right now.

We've got the business.

To tend to. By the way, I have not made predictions that resolutely on this radio program outside of my Lions predictions, which which by the way, I've only been wrong once all year. That team is dominant. They have got a serious squad. I saw the post gambular day. Skipper was so excited he's puking in the locker room after the game. So they got the Lions that are on their way. I'm not saying I'm gonna I'm not predicted that I'm gonna be booking a flight for New Orleans in February. But I'm I'm feeling pretty good about this.

Team right now. So let me get you here. Big game this weekend. Obviously, they play the Bills, it's a huge matchup. What do you think? What's your final screer. You've only missed one game so far this year.

Detroit Lions twenty, Buffalo Bill seventeen.

A low scoring game, Lord Mooring.

Guy, I think it's gonna be one of those. I realized it's not an NFC Norris confrontation, as Chris Berman would say. But I feel like it's a It's two teams that are that are just that are really strong defensively right now. I think it's gonna be a twenty. You know, Josh Allen's great, but I think the Lions defense is playing really well right now. So I'm going twenty seventeen, Detroit Lions get the win.

He's on Twitter at John Morosi. That is at John Morosi from the Winter Meetings and Dallas. That is John Paul Morosi. We will call it, Pope. We'll call you when when the Mets keep signing guys, We'll keep calling you, Okay, just so.

You know, yeah, I mean, I think you call me when the Mets signed someone or when the Lions win a game, which is literally every week. You anytime you want, Okay, see you, buddy, have.

Fun meetings Hey, how about that? I mean that was real. I mean usually he's resolute about picking the Lions and picking the Mariners to make the playoffs. But right away Corbyn burns Red Sox, Christian Walker, Yankees like that was. That was not even a second before he had both those names and those destinations out there for.

Yeah, just the interesting part talking about the Domino effects. So not to be out done, not to be left behind of all of those East Coast squads feeling like that force. Whether it's the back page, the fish wrap, the talking heads on radio and television, or or just starting to get the notes from season ticket holders going you better do something if you're gonna raise my tickets, you jerks. So all of them to say, uh, Domino effects pretty big with some heavy hitters.

And I'll tell you what, the Walker thing surprises me a little bit because I thought for sure the Yankees would go on overpay for Pete Alonzo. I thought, for sure, you take one of mine, I'm gonna take one of yours. It'd be like the like like they traded so too for Pee Alonzo and just paid him a little bit less money. But I really thought for certain that was gonna happen. The Yankers are Okay, you take Wansa and because Brian Cashman, how do I walk around this town? We just lost our you know, our best player out. You know he and Aaron Judge, two best players in the game. We just lost one of them. How do I do it? You go by taking Pete Alonzo, which tells me one of two things. Alonzo's gonna go back to the Mets or boy. Really, the market for Pete Alonzo is not quite what they think it's gonna be, being thirty years old, being a guy that's gonna be dhing pretty soon. His power numbers were down last year. He had the big home run that is gonna live forever off against the Brewers that I'm gonna watch every single day for the rest of my life. But overall, yeah, thirty year old first basemen coming out of is looking for a big seven year deal. It doesn't seem like that's there for him. One of those two things, he's going back to the Mets or boy. This is kind of a depressed market for pet A Lonzo. Does that make you sad? Uh? No, Because I will have the home run against the Browers. I'll always have it. And maybe he comes back. I don't know. Like, look, I would be okay if for Alonso being thirty, If it was okay, you know what, he couldn't get a big long term deal. How about two years and sixty million to stay with the Mets or something like that. I was gonna say, option, Okay, yeah, great, dude, we're paying sixty eighty that's awesome. I would sign up for that. In a second, Alonzo for his year thirty one, thirty two, Yes, that I would sign up for. But that and maybe that's a possibility. But you know, it's a little bit more of a possibility. I think it was a couple of days ago.

Now it's fun, fun, silly season, no doubt. Reading all the rumor, conjecture, speculation and seeing all the mockups of would be jerseys for guys, I mean, you're gonna buy so many free agents this year, you're not gonna be able to buy one jersey. Sports Radio The Jason Smith Show with My best friend Mike Harmon live Fromthetireck dot Com studios. And with a huge week fifteen coming in the NFL one game between two teams one is three and ten, one is five and eight, all of a sudden has a lot of attention. Wait, why no, no, No, Jets are nowhere near this. For the first time since twenty twenty two, alright, it says, okay two years. Yeah. For the first time since twenty twenty two, the Carolina Panthers are favored to win a football game. Who do the Panthers play? I'm glad you asked. They are two and a half point favorites against the Dallas Cowboys. First time since twenty twenty two, the Panthers are favored to win a game. Things just keep getting better and better for Dallas every day, don't they every single day? I guess I've actually talked to the NFL, and the favorite points we actually get them for real. So if that's Bred gets up to three, we actually get three points added to our score for real. All right, now it's two and a half. Obviously you want, you know, you want to get a three three and a half. The hook could be great because we may lose by a field goal, but to get that added that's gonna happen for us. So I'm excited to make that announcement and make sure you drink all the pepsi at the stadium.

Yeah, that is that is an interesting line, right, considering what we watched a night ago. You held Joe Burrow and company to twenty points for the majority of the game before a late gaff and well then another gaff to give up the big play for the score, you know, Lisa spinning the wheels on Homer to run to the end zone.

All that to say, you.

Know, Bryce Young and company have played well. They've tested both the Chiefs and the Eagles the last couple of weeks.

Yeah, I guess I guess.

I'm not shocked when we're looking at Cooper Rush and company. Even if you did get another great game out of Rico Dowdell, you.

Know this is time because you know, we haven't had one of these in a little bit. But you know, like we always want to push positivity when we can. It's really tough. You know, sports is about who stinks or is this or that. But let's have an appreciation moment for a minute for Bryce Young, who has not been great. All right. I'm not saying all of a sudden he's great and they solve their problems, but he has been much better since he reassumed the starting job. When he got benched early on in the season, and I didn't see it coming. I don't think anybody thought it was gonna but hey, you know, Dalton gets injured, what are you gonna do? They go back to Bryce Young, who is playing better. He has made some big passes. Doesn't mean suddenly he's a three hundred yard passer throwing three touchdowns a week. That's not who the guy is. But he has been good enough to the point where going into next season, potentially I can see the Panthers giving him another shot, or if the Panthers get a high enough draft pick and they go, Okay, come on to you, Doris Sanders, you're our guy, or come on, cam Ward, you're our guy, they can move on from Bryce Young and another team could pick him up in a justin fields kind of way, where hey, we don't quite know what we have a quarterback, but we're gonna let you battle it out with somebody else. You have a chance to one more chance to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Like That's what Bryce Young has done in the last few weeks. He has shown that I can run a team. He just looks more comfortable. And every time I see him make a big throw MIC And I don't know why the Panthers don't do this. Every time I see him make a big throw, what is he doing? Is he back in the pocket? No, he is on the run extending plays. He is phenomenal when he gets to move and extend plays. I don't know why the Panthers don't call more plays where he gets outside the pocket, he rolls out and throws. He is extremely accurate on the run, or at least have plays where hey, we're moving the pocket this way for a little bit to give him worth. Look, obviously, you know you have to do with something because the guy's not tall. But I don't know why it's not part of the game plan where everything is we're moving him out because on the run he is incredibly accurate. That's what he did Alabama, right, want you go back to watch his highlights everything he did Alabama's How does he find this guy a toe tap on the two yard line when he's running out of bounds at his own fifty But yet he does that's what he's done so well. I don't know why that's not something that's been a part of the offense more up until now. At least I'm seeing a little bit more of it. He looks more comfortable or confident throwing the football. So he's either bought himself another chance to start next year, or maybe the Panthers bring somebody else and who has to battle it out with him, or the Panthers move on and he goes somewhere else, kind of like justin fields.

Yeah, I gotta think you've gotten enough time. I mean, remember it is year one, you know, really pushing forward with Dave Canalis here, you did lose Brooks. That was gonna be one of the built blocks, right because you re signed Chewba Hubbard. You have Brooks there. You thought you were gonna get a two headed monster to give him balance with Lagette in that passing game and whatever's left of Adam feeling. But you certainly have some building blocks. I'd like to see him get another shot. Last few weeks. He's put up some numbers and he's put some stuff on tape that makes it impressive. That's what I like the resolve of all these young guys that face some adversity, given another opportunity, they've excelled. So let's see what he does for these final four weeks.

Tally Man, keep getting him outside the pocket making plays and his value will increase. How about a Fresco exit swollen dome? Coming up next. A big NFL story from about twenty years ago became front burner news earlier today. We'll get into that coming up next. Jason and Mike, this is Fox Sports Radio.
