The two biggest NCAA bracket selection lessons I can give you from 30 years of experience:

1) Don't pick big upsets until the Elite Eight. It's too risky earlier & can ruin your bracket.

2) Pick a #1 seed to win it all. (26 out of 40 since the tourney went to 64 teams.)
