The Irish Independent became the story today when a bomb threat forced the evacuation of our newsroom on Dublin's Talbot Street.

As journalists across Europe reported on a wave of aviation threats, cyber incidents and security alerts, an email claiming an explosive device had been planted in our building landed directly in our inbox.

What followed was a garda operation, a full sweep of the building and a dramatic morning for staff who suddenly found themselves at the centre of a breaking news story.

But was this an isolated hoax, or part of a wider campaign of disruption targeting Europe?

Today on The Indo Daily, Katie Byrne is joined by Kevin Doyle, executive editor of the Irish Independent, and Gareth O'Connor, deputy news editor at the Irish Independent, to discuss the threat, the response and the growing fears around a new wave of hybrid attacks across Europe.
