OCTOBER 13TH, One Republic is doing a benefit concert at Morongo Casino Resort and Spa, with proceeds going to the artists charity of choice. One Republic chose International Justice Mission: a global non profit that protects people in poverty from violence, slavery, and human trafficking. Go to IJM.ORG for all the info and HEAR more in this podcast with Lisa Foxx & Troy Groves from IJM.

Your organization deals with a lot of heavy, CRAZY things that are happening to people in this world, what prompted the start of this organization? We only see so much on the news...HOW BAD IS IT? What areas? What countries are worse than others in terms of these things happening to people? What can WE DO to stop some of these atrocities? What does IJM do to help people? We are raising $$ for IJM at this concert, One Republic's charity of choice, how did this relationship come about?

Overview & Mission
Founded: Gary Haugen founded IJM in 1997 after witnessing the devastating effects of the genocide in Rwanda.

Focus Areas: Combating modern-day slavery, human trafficking, online sexual exploitation of children, violence against women and children, and police abuse of power.

Core Strategy
Rescuing Victims: Working alongside local law enforcement to pull individuals safely out of abusive and exploitative situations.
