In our first hour of the show today, we were joined by the voice of Iowa Hawkeyes Football and Basketball, Gary Dolphin. Gary and Huge took a look at the recently released Big Ten football schedule. They also discussed the likelihood of a college football season this fall and what the best outcome would be. Gary also gave us some insight into how the athletic scene in Iowa looks as far as Covid and precautions go. During this hour Huge also gave a brief PGA Tour update and much more. We also took a look at Governor Whitmer’s new order regarding children having to wear masks in schools and daycare's.
In our second hour we continued the conversation about the B10 schedule and the likelihood a fall season. Huge talked about the recent news from U-M saying that they had to budget $61 Million less this year due to Covid. This could double if there are no sports this fall. We were then joined by Aaron McMann from MLive to get his thoughts on this, the U-M football schedule, and what games he see’s them winning. We were also joined by Tim Staudt to get his thoughts on all of this, and to talk about MSU, their schedule, and wins and losses for Mel Tucker and his team. Huge also gave another quick PGA Tour scoreboard update.
In our final hour we were joined by Mike O’Hara from detroitlions.com to get a Lions training update. Mike told us how things are being handled by the players, what precautions they’re taking, as well as the Stafford Covid test he took which ended up coming back negative. Mike also went through who has opted out, and who is on the Covid list as of now. We wrapped up the show by talking more about the PGA Tour with rules official Mark Wilson. Huge and Mark discussed the leader board and what they’re seeing that they like so far.
