Huge opened up the show today by talking about how it’s been announced that the college football rankings will come out in November. The only weird part of it is that the Big Ten will be included in those rankings despite not going through with their fall season. This eventually led to Huge talking about how the Big Ten really should’ve waited given that things are changing constantly regarding the effects of Covid. We then moved on to squash some rumors out of Ann Arbor today saying that Head Coach Juwan Howard’s name was gaining traction in certain NBA circles. Chris Balas joined us in our first hour to say that Juwan definitely does not plan on leaving. Huge also asked the audience what athlete or team is your favorite to watch right now.
In our second hour today we kept the conversation going regarding the Big Ten and canceling the fall season too early. We were joined by Jim Comparoni to talk more about this as well as the college football rankings. Jim and Huge talked about how MSU basically would’ve had their own “mini bubble” due to the fact that athletes were already on campus before MSU decided to move all of their learning to online. We then wanted to take a look at how the Lions have been doing in training camp. We were joined by Lomas Brown so he could tell us about what he’s seeing that he likes.
In our final hour Huge told the audience about something cool that happened over the weekend while he was golfing. We were then joined by Frank Schwab to get an update on the NFL. He and Huge talked about how testing has been going, how training camps went, and whether they think the NFL will be able to finish their season or not. We were then joined by Evan Woodbery to talk about the Detroit Tigers and their series win over the Indians. We wrapped up the broadcast by having Bo Gergen on to talk about opening up bowling alleys in the state of Michigan.
