This episode of the Howard Jarvis Radio Show is a must-listen for anyone concerned about the future of California's tax burden. With the upcoming election just around the corner, the hosts dive into the importance of Prop 43, a measure that aims to close a loophole allowing special interests to raise taxes without a two-thirds vote. But that's not all - they also discuss the impact of sales taxes, the regressive nature of these taxes, and how they disproportionately affect the working poor and middle class.

Susan Shelley and Jon Coupal, discuss the complexities of the ballot measures, including Prop 40, the so-called billionaire tax, which they argue is a poorly thought-out way to extract money from people. They also touch on the importance of voter ID, Prop 39, and the need for accountability in government spending. With the state's high income tax rate and sales tax rate, Californians are feeling the pinch, and the hosts make a strong case for why it's time for change.

The conversation is engaging and informative, with the hosts sharing real-life examples of how the current tax system is hurting Californians. From the outrageous expenditure of $180 million to buy water rights from a speculator to the PR firm hired by the governor's office at a cost of $2.6 million a year, the hosts highlight the need for fiscal responsibility in government.

If you're a California resident concerned about the state's tax burden and the impact on your wallet, this episode is a must-listen. Tune in to hear the hosts discuss the key ballot measures, the importance of Prop 43, and how you can make a difference in the upcoming election.
