Nick Jones has established some well-known and successful businesses since coming to Tasmania in the 1970s. Chris Sayer delves into Nick’s beginnings in the UK, and the stories behind his business ventures, among them T.P. Jones, Launceston Lakes and Platypus House.
Researching his family tree has brought Indian tea plantations to Nick’s attention, and he shares with us the amazing story of his recent fact-finding mission to India. Nick’s latest project, however, may be his most ambitious yet – the restoration of a grand old building from the 1830s.
