One of earliest Hot Seat programs, was when Adrian Wood spoke with actor and theatre veteran Bill Carney. Bill was an avid presenter of programs on City Park Radio, and his story, as told to Adrian, was fascinating and inspiring. Bill Carney sadly passed away in September, 2024, in his 91st year.

This Hot Seat episode coincided with a very special event that was held in Campbell Town on the very same day. The Northern Tasmanian Light Horse Troop hosted the War Animal Remembrance Day and a plaque was unveiled to honour the contribution of all animals that served in time of war. Terese Binns and Sherrie Rees from the Light Horse Troop talked to Chris Sayer about the Dedication, the ceremony in Campbell Town later that day, and some of the many animals that have participated in war.
