He played six NFL seasons, of course, younger brother of Carson Palmer's Jordan Palmer, who is created He's one of the great quarterback coaches in the country. Founder of Quarterback Summit, a program that helps quarterbacks reach their potential. He's worked with everybody, Mahomes, Josh Allen, and so also as a podcast called The Quarterback Room.

Give it a listen.

So let's you know, we talked about this yesterday is I was talking to Steve Kama, former GM and I said, you know, there's a difference between a twenty four year old and an achilles surgery. He's never been paid the big money. There's no ring, no legacy. You wake up every day with that hunger to get back. Aaron's rich, he's got a ring. He's thirty nine, and this rehab is going to be daunting.

Do you worry about that?

I mean absolutely.

I mean there's the morning of what happened to the football world, losing an Aaron Rodgers on all the things that we were all looking forward to see. But when you just look at the rehab of this, he's thirty nine, You got to look at some other sports where this has happened. I mean, we all watched here in Los Angeles. We all watched Kobe right pop his achilles and then sink a free throw. But Kobe was thirty five when he did it. I'm friends with a guy named Drew Marcos who consulted on that. He's a great physical therapist. And when you go through that, it's and I heard what Mark said yesterday, it's one of those things where you have those milestones, but it's a decision in the beginning. I'm either going to do this and pursue this with really everything that I have, or I can't do it. You can't seventy five percent an achilles injury, especially at thirty nine, And so I'm fascinated to see not how the rehab go, but that decision that Aaron makes. Right, And we all talked about the visions that he had to make this year leaving Green Bay. He went in a cave and we all talked about it for months and months, and how he came to a conclusion to move on go to the Jets, and and and you know, put lay out what he was trying to lay out this year. But I'm just fascinated to see how he makes that decision. And if he decides I'm all in and I'm doing this again, I don't think there's a problem. And again, the key thing, this was a week one injury. This happened in the beginning of September. This did not happen in the playoffs. This is not a November injury. So that's an extra couple months. And when you look at the protocols and the rehab and how that goes, I think he if he makes the decision that I'm chasing this the same way he chased it this year, then I think we're going to get a chance to be just as excited in twelve months from now about Aaron Rodgers start as a Jet as we were on Monday.

So, Josh Allen is somebody that you've mentored and been part of his process. And I said yesterday that there are. We know the value of coordinators of Kyle Shanahan and Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan's always been good, then he became great. We know this to be true, is that in my business, political people, presidents, senators, when they have the right wingman or kingmaker, they're better at their job, even if they're good at it. And so Brian dabol and Josh Allen. I felt like he sandpapered him. The mechanics got a little cleaner, he got a little more patient, because he tends to be so.

He's so gifted athletically.

He can be a tad inpatient or a tad leaning on his arm over everything. Very natural Bradshaw name it. Those with the great arm will use it. But I do notice start of last year to week one he is more prone to mistakes, even fumbles. There's something I wish he would slide. Maybe he never will.

It does feel.

Off to me as a viewer. It feels off. You do this for a living. What isn't quite buttoned up? That maybe was over a year ago.

Well, first, I think it's less about you know, Ken Dorsey and what he isn't you know the conversation.

It's more about really Dable.

I mean, this is I think a few years from now, Wall say that's the best coach in football. And I had a comment that Bill Belichick, I've known him for a long time, made a comment to me at a Pro day or something one day and we were talking about Dable when he said, Dable's one of the only coaches I've ever been around who could be an elite offensive coordinator in this league like he is right now. He could also be an elite defensive coordinator, and he could also be an elite special teams coordinator.

He understands football that level.

And so when you lose that, you don't just kind of replace it, right, And so I think what Josh benefited from with day Ball is not just the play calling, but learning the game.

The guy played at Wyoming, right, so.

Learning the game from who Bill Belichick and a lot of other people think is one of the smarter dudes in the league at teaching the position. So when you lose that and the play calling, there is a period of time where you have to get on the same page. Quarterbacks and receivers and O line get used to hearing certain things, seeing it a certain way, having it installed in the off season a certain way, having it installed in season a certain way. And I when it comes to Josh the other night and decision making, I don't think that's coordinator based.

I think that's individual based.

But I think it's just a process of getting on the same page but also figuring out how to utilize all these pieces and win that play that we talked about on Wednesday and we ran on Thursday when that's actually getting called in the game. Those are the things that quarterbacks and coordinators. It's not a first year a second year thing. It's a process over time getting on that same page. It's easy for fans to say, let's get on the same page, but there's so many elements. There's eleven guys playing, there's different coverages and pressures.

During every week. Yeah.

So, by the way, his podcast is called The Quarterback Room. Caleb Williams, Josh Allen, Jared Goff already been on the show. His latest interview, Baker Mayfield released this morning, Baker's want to Oh, by the way, it had a gutty, got ran over a corner of safety and talked a little trash. So a lot of times I will watch the play calls and that will tell me what the staff thinks of the player, and I want that's rock party at Pittsburgh. That front as a pretty agressive game plan, and my takeaway was this staff likes. I thought it was more aggressive than they would have given Jimmy Garoppolo and I watched it, and I thought this staff trust'sprock purty. I can see it. I'm as a consumer. That was my takeaway. Have we just undervalued Tony Rommel was undrafted, Kurt Warner was undrafted. Have we undervalued as talent?

Yeah, there's something that happens in the draft.

We get so caught up and we spend all this time those couple of months talking about it, and then the draft happens, and then this guy and you kind of you're labeled from the media and fans perspective. That guy's a third round pick, that guy's the top ten pick. That guy's mister irrelevant. Right when you get in the locker room, we get in the huddle, you're just a Niner, you know what I mean?

Yeah, a seventh round pick.

Yeah, you're not your your brand or whatever you are, is what you're doing right now. It's not what happened in the draft. People get drafted too high, people get drafted too late, and so I think we've all made a big deal about it because it was such an incredible story. LaSure, this dude's the last pick in the draft and he's you know, got a chance to go to the super Bowl.

But now time's gone by.

I think when I look at the play calling last year, and this is what Kyle Shanahan. One of the things he's fantastic at is We've got a great defense, great running back, great run game, and playmakers outside and Kittle and Ayuk and all these guys. Look, we need you to make three to five plays a game. Yeah right, We're gonna.

Run for this.

We're gonna build in what I call manufacturer completions, whether it's a screen or it's a concept where we know it's going to one or two or one or two or three. So these are manufacturer completions. We're calling this play and this ball is gonna be complete. We need you to make a couple of plays.

Well.

Now, even though his offseason was rehab and all that stuff, but going into year two for him, he's not the last pick of the seventh round anymore. He's the starting quarterback for the San Francisco forty nine ers. And I think you're seeing that confidence in the play calling and you saw it, the confidence in the play calling around him that we no longer need him to make three.

To five plays. We're just gonna run our offense.

We're and we're not worried a long term about Joe Burrow. But that was that was that was turbulence.

I mean sick.

It was hard to watch.

Why what what what I'm you know, I'm not saying you're sitting around watching twenty two film, but what that's That was not just you know, that wasn't a three pick game when you're throwing it downfield?

What's going on?

It?

Was it protection based?

Yeah, well, I do watch all twenty two every week. He's a clan of mine, so we do watch these. And one of the things that I watched it live and I got I had four guys playing at ten am, so I'm like balancing back and forth. But when I go back and I do watch the tape, I think that that had more to do with Cleveland than Cincinnati. H You've given him trouble, well just but right now Cincinnati, right now, Cleveland, I think in a month, we're all going to be saying we're going to be talking about that pass rush the same way we're talking about Dallas right now, we're actually going to be talking about Zadarias. Smith's that right, the new edition. Right that addition, he's not Javian Clowney. He's a game wrecker. Yeah, And I think I think it had more to do with what Cleveland did. There was a series a third quarter. It's a ten to three ball game. Since he's down. They had three touchdowns open downfield. The first two plays, mal Garrett ruined the play. So then they chip him on third down with a back and then Zaidarius is on the left guard and he throws him on the ground and he ruins the play. That's a ten to ten ball game right there. It's a different deal. So Cincinnati a couple of new pieces on the offensive line, Orlando Brown, Joe Burrow out for a month going into the season trying to figure out this elite pass rush on the road in terrible weather. That those are just not the place to get your to get on the same page. And so I don't have no concerns or worries long term for Cincinnati I think they're gonna be just fine. But I think the other day had a little bit more to do with how good Cleveland's pass rush and defense is, yeah, than it is these issues in Cincinnati.

I think they get solved.

So I'm going to stay away from the CJ Strouds, Bryce Young Anthony. Next time we have you back in four six weeks, Well we'll deep dive those, but it's just too Anthony Richards and I will say is a man.

He is, he was a big athlete.

Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays in noon eastern non am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio FS one and the iHeartRadio app.

All right, I want to go. I want to pivot to college.

So my knock on Quinn Yours was talented, little raw needs to be refined, not great on the deep ball. And then I watched Saturday and he was great on.

The deep ball. So he's young.

You know my kids, your kid kids get better. I watched that and I thought, is that what he is now? Yeah, so I have to just forget previous Quinn yours because that is a first round NFL quarterback.

That was my takeaway.

Yeah, I remember seeing him in high school through the Lead eleven process, and he had him and Kid club Nick, who's the starter at Clemson right now. They went head to head in two state state championships in Texas, and then there was Big Boys six A ball, Yeah, and Caid won both those and then the Lead eleven rolls around and Kid's MVP. And it just felt like like Quinn was okay with that, right, So there was questions around the competitive temperament. He's got the mullet, bleached mullet, he's kind of heavier than he should be, you know, and he leaves early for the NIL. That that was really the first move in NIL was him going to Ohio State and not playing his senior year at all. So you somebody skips are senior in high school, we start questioning their competitive temperament. And I think what it was was just a maturity thing. And when I look at him now, he's he looks great, right, He's in great shape. He got a haircut, he's like pulled like a Morgan Wallen, you know what I mean. I had the mullet and had issues and now all of a sudden he's the number one artist. And then hearing things out of Texas. I think he's just grown up and matured a lot. And you know me, I've always said the two most important traits in a quarterback confidence and maturity, and so with him and sarking these pieces, I think Texas. I mean, they just beat Bama, but I think Texas is for real. And I think Quinn is now positioned himself for where he was coming out of high school, which is when you're the number one recruit in the country, you should play well in college and get drafted high in the NFL.

That's the trajectory.

And I think whatever he did this offseason, whoever's pouring into him off the field, has done a fantastic job, and I think we're starting to see a young star emerge.

So I've never seen this is probably a bit hyperbolic. I have never seen a conference with more NFL quarterback prospects than the Pac twelve.

It's insane.

Even the kid from Clemson who went to Oregon State, who was near a big fan of maybe Jonathan Smith, has turned him around. And Riley Leonard at Duke, the kid at Florida State, Shadoor Sanders, who you know early glimpses. Wow, I still think Caleb Williams is a notch above them. You've had him on his podcast, your podcast. I think it's funny about quarterback play. I think he is mature and I think he is confident when I watch him play. And this is just my takeaway is I think they put a lot on him because I watch how multiple us he is and it feels very pro like. That's what it looks like to me, like they're they're asking him to do. Now, maybe that's not the case, but what when you did in the podcast with him, beyond what I see, is there is there an a juice that when you talk to him, you see confidence, maturity. I mean, how much sure can any twenty two year old be?

They're all kids. What is it that you see maybe that I don't because you do this for a living.

I think he does so many things athletically that wow us.

Right, drops the snap, picks it up and rips it sixty yard.

You know, he just says these things where you go, let me see that again, right, that you can you can bypass or not notice some other things like how intelligent he is and how much they put on him. And one of the things we talked about it's very mahomes like, by the way, and Josh and several guys. Right, we all assume, you know, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, they're brilliant and their geniuses. But just because somebody's really fast and makes wow plays doesn't mean they're not brilliant, Right, It's just that's not where our eye goes. With Caleb and I've I've worked him out a ton. You would have loved it all time, throwing session. Just meet him and Burrow up here in LA this offseason. But one of the things is, you know, i'd ask him on our show. You know, you went and learn Lincoln's offense when you go to Oklahoma?

Who'd you watch? Right? You learn a new offense? You're watching the game tape.

You can choose from Kyler Murray number one pick Heisman Trophy, Baker Mayfield number one pick Heisman Trophy, or.

Jalen Hurts who's played in sup Bow last year.

And it was interesting he goes the other two of those guys are so athletic.

I didn't want to rely on that, and so I actually watched.

Even though Baker is a really good athlete, you just can't compare him to Kyler and Jalen athletically because I actually watched all Baker and so the just the the maturity to really look at that and go, let me look at a way this guy played in this offense and was asked, I know I can run around and he might be the best athlete of the three of them, but let me watch and learn that side of it. And I think with Caleb, what it feels like to me. You just named a bunch of great college quarterbacks, and there's there's another list two of more guys.

Those are all great college quarterbacks.

It looks like Caleb is a would be one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL today if he was playing. I think I think he'd be playing at high level in the NFL. It looks like he's getting to play one more against some college kids.

Yeah, I think there are you see this from time to time, or a guy it doesn't happen a lot, but you'll see you know, like justin Jefferson, I remember when he was in college. You're like, well, that's a pro playing on Saturday. Jamar Chase had a little bit of that. And you do get from time there's about one kid or two year kids a year in college football, and you're like, yeah, that's a that's a pro who plays on Saturday.

I feel that with Caleb, by the way, what a.

Benefit to not only get Lincoln Riley, but Cliff Kingsbury, who can say, Okay, this is what you're going to see, this is what you're not. It's such an advantage for him. Jordan Palmer, quarterback consultant, six years in the NFL. Anything else here? Quarterback Summit. Let's say, let's say I'm a dad, got a kid's quarterback. Where do I go to find you?

Q summit dot Com run camps around the country called the Summit Tour and uh and then spend the rest of the time working with college and pro guys.

Look great, you're in shape. Let's say you play today.

Or anybody my age other than Aaron.

Get called from the New York area code could be the Jets.

Just just it ain't going to be me.

I know that my brother go. I'd go get Andy Dalton I thought was not a bad fit.

Yeah, there's some guys. I'm hearing Carson Wentz, but there's some guy.

Just get somebody else in the room or who knows which way this is going to go with Zach and I hope it goes awesome for him. I think he's learned a lot in a short amount of time been around Aaron. But ad somebody to that room. Who's who's just started fifty games? You know what I mean, it's just played a lot.

Great senior man, Thanks man, Mats and all your success. We'll have him back in a month or two. We'll do a little deep dive on all the young quarterbacks. We have footage and that sort of stuff.

J mckham news, No turn on the news.

This is the herd Line News.

I heard him say, Carson Wentz. I almost vomited.

Now settle down.

He's got a lost They should not go get him.

Yeah, thank you, thank you. See he told you.

Right.

He didn't do well in the big city Philadelphia. Ate him up lockerom, would you.

Yeah.

I tried to tell Coward about the locker room yesterday.

Tell go ahead.

I was saying, you know, you always want to get more love in the locker room than out of locker room.

Yeah, say that again to the audience on the mic so they can hear you.

You always want to get more love in the locker room. Then outside of the lockero.

You don't care.

I mean, not against the fans, but it's about the dudes.

The dudes in the locker room don't care what the people outside of the locker room think of you. If they all hate you, if they outside locker room, all the media and fans hate you, but inside the locker room they love you, then it doesn't matter.

Right.

But if everybody lets so, I was saying, Russell Wilson, you know you're outside of the locker room.

Everybody Seyattle loved him, lead your boomden love him.

Yeah, there's a problem, right, But Baker Mayfield and Cam Newton are two guys where ask anybody who's.

Played with them. They love them. They love them. But we all you know, the media and all that stuff. You can look at Colin Well and he was on yesterday.

It was great and I said, we have this little game called take you know, do you want to do this or take the sack? And I said, would you want to fill in for Jason McIntyre and be calling Cowherd's co host or.

Take the sack?

What did he say?

Oh, take the sack? And then he said to you, I thought we were gonna do it on the airbody. He said, well, tell tell a little callin.

I said, hello, I have not, by the way, deep love them.

Teammates love them.

And I've also said great dad, goodbye. I know people.

He also said, you're the best in the business. You're great at what you do. Don't have to agree with you.

Yeah, I know people that know Baker great friend.

Yeah, great, super loyal dude.

No, no, no, the guy. I know two people that know him love that.

Teammates always say that, like Sam Donald, you know, got kind of hose and complete Carolina, and they bring in Baker. He's like two, Baker's the man. This is great because this team need the decision. This guy's great and they're tight.

Listen, this is hard. I said the other day quarterbacking in the league. People say it's the hardest thing I could argue.

So was finding quarterback. We're the outside of a caliber of Trevor.

Yeah, where you lands about eighty percent of it. You get the wrong coordinator, you get a stubborn owner, you get a you know, an impulsive Carson Wentz had a good season. Indy the owner's like, get him out of here, get twenty seven touchdown seven picks, get him out of here. Yeah, and all of a sudden, now you're just flailing away like it's.

Hard while we got him here.

Are you hear anything on justin Field in Chicago?

Just that it could get ugly real quick.

That's what I think.

Remember that coach who came in here.

Somebody's I love Tampa this week.

Oh they're in Tampa.

That is moved up to.

That is a good game. Tampa's got some Dudes's.

Got some They got a bunch of guys who want a super Bowl. They got two of the best linebackers in football. Got two receivers who can get open and make plays. That plays that Chris Dobwin made on the sideline and four minute offense, ripping an out route and he makes a diving catch he's been blocking all day.

How about this guy has Baker on and asked him a question. I love That was great, saying we'll have episode dropped today.

You know what I've said before, Bakers all this stuff?

Yeah, I.

Baker comments constantly though I was saying I've said this before, beautiful wife. Good guy did not like to call out on the medical staff.

That drove me. That one really bothered.

Me maturity, confidence here, maturity was here.

I say that how good you are is basically how well you handle success in adversity. And there's people who handle success really well, and then when adversity hits it ruins him. We got a long rest of those, right. I think he's world class at Handle University. Two different schools said I got ninety scholarships. You can't have one. He's been finalist twice, wins it once.

Nos Number one. Overall, I think when his back's against the wall, he's had his best.

The data doesn't forget what he is the guy like. The data shows me that when he's counted out, free freaking good. That's one of the all time great college football seasons. Ever, it's in top three. How about this Bears Bucks this weekend? He just got me all fired up.

Through that, and I also love it Atlanta.

Atlanta's got green Bay, Green Bay.

I don't know Desimond Ridter. I'm gonna wait and see. I just need more.

He's a client. But that run game, Hey, this dude, he's on. By the way, did you see that bubble skirt he scored on? Oh? Yeah, he looks like he's won ninety he's two twenty five.

By the way, he reminds me a little bit of Ladanian Tomlinson.

I'm saying Marshall Fall. He's not Reggie Bush.

No, he's Mars Falls.

And the way that Art knows how to use backs and get him open and get him in that run game. Think about how good they were last year and then they took this running back in the seventh pick.

I had a GM tell me that he was one of the cleanest.

Players block catch Locker Like He's like, I don't know if you take ail No, Like he was the player the GM said, he's the cleanest player in this draft, and he may have been the cleanest player in the last couple. Like, there's no criticism of him. No guy catch great, dude, Marret.

Thing, it's just the position is do you go?

And by the way, Atlanta's got Pitt Drake London.

Well, the other thing is they have a second year guy on a six round pick contract, so they don't have to give him the ball. Replay this this Tyler alg years Like, you can totally have Djon on a pitch count so easy.

It's not like you're putting in a backup.

You're putting in a guy who broke the rookie rushing record in Atlanta, who's in the year two of it.

They got him for three more years. They don't say anybody.

Arthur Smith's afraid to use his client. What's that all about?

Six minutes left?

I know they just make a call. Yeah, they didn't push the ball on the field. No, they're just that was the game plan. We're gonna run it, We're gonna throw play action. The first throw of the game should have been picked, you know, so then that all of a sudden, whoa ten, The ball got battled down by d line but should have been picked. Yeah, maybe six. So it's like, so let him settle in, He'll be fine.

Jordan Palmer, great stuff.

Turn on the news. This is the herd Line News.

So we got Vikings Eagles tomorrow night. Vikings had that week one loss to Tampa twenty seventeen. Kirk Cousins put up big numbers, but did have I think two fumbles and an interception. You know, Kevin O'Connell wants to see Cousins being more aggressive going forward.

We'd you know, hit Justin on explosive.

We'd hit another you know, decent play down there to still have in our time a couple of timeouts there in the ability to kind of manipulate the end of the end of the half. There, there's no question that we would have loved to finish that drive with a touchdown, but always want him to be aggressive, play what he sees. And you know, he did a lot of really good things yesterday as well to help us stay in the football game despite the turnovers and the penalties, you know, being so favored critically and you know against US.

I have a feeling Philadelphia is gonna play pretty well in that game.

Interesting, I was just gonna bring it up, so there's Vikings money coming in all week.

Eagles do have some injuries.

I think three defensive starters are either out or questionable. But the Vikings they just ruled out their center, so they're gonna be starting an undrafted guy who's.

A converted guard and Jalen Carter.

Jillen Carter dominated the Patriots in like thirty two steps.

He was everywhere, and then their left tackle derisow is injured and we don't know if he's gonna go. So like, I don't see how people are back in the Vikings here. I think it's just the Eagles did not look great.

Well, it's also first game they didn't play starters in the preseason much. Belichick's a great defensive mind against younger quarterbacks. And it was on the road. Now you come home. Minnesota's defense was a disaster last year. They've got rid of Dalvin Cook, less of a running game. Now they're missing their center.

Yeah, Flores blitzed a lot against Tampa, trying to rattle Baker. Good luck Blitzer, Jalen ERTs and leaving those corners on islands.

A J.

Brown he could eat. I like the Eagles. I don't get it all right.

Next up Baker Mayfield, who we just talked about with Jordan Palmer. Baker was up and down bad first half, but came on strong in the second half.

Tampa gets the dub.

According to running back Rashad White, Baker's second half success was due to the quarterbacks code cracking.

They came to locker room like, I mean literally, I had time, he said, I got it, Like we got all these signals, Like we end there talking like as office. He like, I know all these signals. If they do this, they going into cover two, they do this, they going to cover three. Every time I learnt this they dropping and they do this signal they dropp him back to this and I'm like, wow, like, you know, that's amazing because I mean, like I know certain coverses, but I don't know a lot like that. But I would just listening to him, and we was just listening to him, and we just kind of understood.

Hm, a Chicago Bear game. Where's that game out? Tampa, Tampa? What's the number on that?

That's it?

Tampa, which was picked to be one of the worst teams in the league, is now favored by three in Week two.

All right, I think it's a red flag. I want to go Bears here.

Yeah, so too, Chicago plus three, I'll take.

Yeah, if it's three.

Eagles pulled off that road win against the Patriots, but the offense struggled.

As we talked about Colin, I didn't even realize this.

Dallas Goddard and DeAndre Swift, who they got to the back of, combined.

For two touches. Dallas Goddard is like one of the better tight ends in the league. Swift supposed to be a factor. Oh see. Brian Johnson had this to say about getting a more action.

Fortunately for us, we have some excellent skill position players who are all very deserving of a bunch of touches and can make game changing plays when they get the ball in their hand. So you know, it's it's up to us to really really, like you said, just be mindful of that and you know, and try to get those guys, get those guys going in the Floyd game, we have to be really really mindful of that and get you know, all of our players involved.

You know. So I think it's that's a scenario.

You know, Dallas obviously is a fantastic player, and you know, we got to do a great job to try to find ways to get in the ball.

I think Philadelphia's gonna bounce back be a bad just listen on the road. Belichick didn't play in the preseason like I think Week one, Yeah, it was a choppy You thought Atlanta was going to look great and they.

Did not look great. Are there too many mouths defeat in Philly? I mean, you got to keep aj Brown happy. You got to keep dividing.

I think the reason they have they want this is they want Jalen running West.

I thought so too, And then against the Patriot, how many times did he run the ball? It felt like he was doing a lot of running.

Well, I think Belichick, Belichick put everything into that game.

Well, I just think Belichick opening games in Foxborough. Bill's got three weeks to dive deep on one opponent. I mean, it's Philadelphia's got I mean, how many Patriots would start for the Eagles in the twenty two four five.

Their strength is on defense. Christian Goazalez, the rookie looked pretty.

He looked really good.

But I mean the takeaway is you give a great you know, you give Sean McVay a chance to dial down with a new run game against Seattle, and that may be as good as the Rams look for a while.

Yeah.

By the way, Christian Goanzale is.

The rookie out of Oregon, Oregon.

Good luck against Tyreek Hill this week. Tyreek Hill's coming off eleven for two fifteen.

I think against the.

Chargers, let me tell you, gonna bracket a little. He's not gonna have that kind of game.

I would hope.

So.

By the way, Tyreek Kill when he played for the Chiefs, do you remember how badly he killed Belichick in big spots?

There was a one AFC title Gaverage.

Mahomes was the quarterback too. That helps.

I mean, listen to Tua looks pretty capable back there.

Man.

You don't think who has never lost to Belichick?

By the way, No, I'm not.

I think I think they have a chance to win, But I don't think he's going to line it up for four hundred and something yards. I think Belichick's gonna take away the middle of the field. They'll bracket Tyreek and it'll be a win, but it won't be one of these. I mean, Miamis did whatever they wanted in that game. Third and twelve didn't even matter. They did whatever they wanted.

That's not Brandon Staley's not Belichick.

Interesting. So so you like Patriots there? Huh?

I think the game's gonna be close, very close. Yeah, I mean it's it's bellich ngo. How often do teams drop thirty eight on Bill?

Not very much. I thought mac Jones looked very good.

When you're down sixteen to nothing and chucking at fifty four times, you're gonna look decent. Boy boy, you know I'm out. We're on polar opposites on Mac Jills.

I know we are. You think he's something we're on opposite, I'm right, you're wrong.

Kayla Jones or Mac Jills, Mac.

Jos Zach Wilson, I can't Max, Chelk can't do it. Trade faith right, are you done?

Yeah?

All right?

J Mack with the news and.

Well that's the news and thanks for stopping by the Herd Line News.

So all sorts of good stuff today that you know that that's Chicago. You know, the week one there were some bad performances, like some O lines looked bad, some quarterback struggled. I think the one the two teams that I was like, Wow, I thought Jordan Love and Green Bay's offense and I know Chicago's defense isn't great, but I thought it was so efficient on third and fourth down. I thought it was great. And the Rams well in both cases offensive coach, and you got really good O line play. Now I'm not sure if the Rams old line is great, but you got very good O line play with an offensive coach and in both instances Matt Lafleur great O line play, Jordan Love looked incredibly comfortable, and Matt Stafford good line play. Matt Stafford with mcvay's game pan looks so comfortable, and I just it's interesting justin fields never looks comfortable. That's gonna be the key. Can they give him some protection in Tampa because it's so much of this sport. Now, that's why when Aaron left I said this, When Aaron left the Packers for the Jets, I said, never forget Aaron never had a bad ole line in Green Bay. Most were top ten to twelve. When's the last Jets O line that was great? It was Nick Mangold to Brickashaw Ferguson was like ten years ago. So Aaron's going to play in front of his worst O line ever. For older quarterbacks, that is an issue.

Now.

Justin's the young. Justin Field to young, but you don't want to be running for your life. He's always I mean, you can tell he's been hit enough.

Watch his feet.

He if he didn't have his first guy open or second, Justin's moving.

It's survival back there.

By the way, whatever the rushing prop is for Justin fields take the over against Tampa.

Tampa loves the blitz.

They're gonna be coming after him, and Justin's gonna be able to outrun those old linebackers that Palmer talked about.

All right, Joe Klatt, Jordan Palmer, both stellar Today a good show.

Live in La, See you tomorrow.

It's the hurt
