It's the Herd wherever you may be, however you may be listening iHeartRadio, Fox Sports Radio FS one. It's the best time of the year. So you get rid of all the dog teams, don't have to watch them anymore, and we get a great college football game. Then I'll take George over TCU, and and then you get now just the cream of the crop. Although I will say the team that's snuck into the playoffs in the a FC Miami feels like they'll get overwhelmed, and the team that's snuck into the NFC Seattle feels like they'll be overwhelmed. So the NFL added a playoff team, and like last year, the Raiders got in but didn't really feel like a playoff team, so you can keep adding playoff teams. The two teams that got in this year snuck in. I think they're gonna get hammer Jmack joining me. Would you have rather seen the Pittsburgh Steelers in at the seventh spot? I will say this, I will say this, is that Kenny Pickett. Yeah, over the last month he looks like a starting quarterback in this league. He slings it and he and the kid from Georgia, the rookie wide receiver, George Pickens. They had a couple of back shoulders throws. It's like, all right, here we go. It's two big buy teams for next year for me, Pittsburgh and Detroit going forward. Love both those teams. I love Detroit. I thought about this last night. If Ben Johnson leaves, they're a cell. That's a great point. If Ben Johnson stays, Detroit's If I was the owner of the Detroit Lions, the Ford family, I said this during our commercial break, I would go to Ben Johnson and say, listen, we know you're gonna get a job. I'll pay a three million dollars if you stay for two years. Guaranteed, we will give you two teams that you can choose his outs. If the Rams called tomorrow, McVay retire, you get it. If McDaniels leaves and you get Miami or something, you get it. But we will overpay you relative to the market, will double your pay, and we'll give you out. But you can't leave for the Texans because Ben Johnson those last two drives were art I mean multiple sets, multiple personnel powered deception. I mean he called a hook and ladder on second and twenty that worked. I'm literally in the moment I'm watching that game and made an audible sound. I was like, whoa, yeah, whoa. So there's that. Ben Johnson is out of this work. He and Brian Babel are you got yourself a couple of offensive guys in this league. They are playing at a different level. What Babel's done to the Giants, you gotta be kidding me. That team's in a re build their old line in their receiving course. Not right. And he got him in with Daniel Jones, Daniel, Brian Dables, Mike Coach of the Year, Tomlin, Pete Carroll get votes, Kyle Dabeles unbelievable all right, right wrong. Here we go fire away where Colin was right. Blazing five had a winning week. We finished fifty four percent for the year. We took dogs. We took the dog Titans. They covered. We took the dog Rams they covered. We took the favorite Broncos Day won by the way Denver's offense. Very interesting. Talk about a bye next year. Fifty four percent for the year, we shoot for fifty five. We're okay with it. There you go where Colin was right. I thought the Seahawks were a three or a four win team. The betting markets thought they were a three or a four win team. But Pete is mister motivator. They nailed their draft and all five or six of those draft picks were productive. Kenneth Walker was a find. And I'll say this, Geno Smith is one of the top five shocks of my broadcasting career. He was number one in the league in completion percentage. He was a bust, he was number of five and passer rating. What the Seahawks did to turn around and support Geno Smith is as nutty as I've ever seen. I was totally wrong, and I've never been happier to be wrong. The Seahawks are in the playoffs. Where Colin was right, the Chiefs offense was just fine without Tyreek Hill. The media freaked out, Oh my god, Tyreek Hill. Yeah, Mahomes is probably gonna win MVP. It's the number one total offense. He had a better completion percentage without Tyreek Hill. He had more touchdown passes without Tyreek Hill. I said, it will look different. They may not score as quickly. They don't have the world's fastest football player. But this franchise is not about wide receivers. It's about Mahomes and Andy Reid. Quarterbacks and offensive geniuses make wide receivers, not ver vice versa. Where Colin was wrong, well, not only did the Rams miss the playoffs, but Sean McVeagh is considering leaving. I did not see that one coming. I mean, I get it, he's tired of losing to Kyle Shanahan and he's got his Super Bowl ring. But that puppy escalated quickly. We knew, I knew the roster was stin at the top, but the offensive line fell apart. They drafted a guard. He got hurt in camp. They have to go get another tackle. So right now that the second or third most talented team in their roster, and Seattle's got a boatload of picks. So San Francisco has got a lot more talent. After this draft, the Seahawks will probably have a lot more talent. So the Rams have been a shock to me. I was wrong where Colin was right. I had the Patriots missing the playoffs, and I've been on this for two years. They have no offensive sensibility whatsoever. Joe Judge helping with offense, Matt Patricia, give me a break. Belichick has become I want to only coach certain players. I want to only work with certain coaches. It's about winning. It's not about making Bill Belichick comfortable. So this one they're slow. There were twenty sixth in total offense. And I'll say this, Mac Jones isn't the problem. Mac Jones played very well yesterday, good enough in large part to win. Mac Jones is not the problem. Where Colin was right. Everybody bailed on the Bengals, and when they lost in Week two to the Cowboys, they played a great second half and I said, nope, do not bail. Burrow had a major surgery. I see it here they come. I had them number one a month ago in the Herd hierarchy. I believe if their offensive line, if Kappa plays throughout the playoffs, they'll win the Super Bowl. Now, who knows. They played Baltimore now back to back, which is weird. We don't know if Lamar's gonna play. But their defense is strong. It just doesn't have a lot of big names. I love this organization at the top. They are now the hottest team in the league. And we called it where Colin. I've been wrong on Dan Campbell badly. Now some of it's Ben Johnson, but they're the best non playoff team in the league to watch. His team plays incredibly hard, they play with passion, their slick offensively, He's got that team believing in him. Their old line outside a right guard is strong. I have to upgrade a little bit there, but their tackles and center are outstanding. I thought last night was why we love the NFL. And Campbell, by the way, has it become a little bit more stoic. He's a big emotional guy on the sidelines last night. He's not a yeller, he's not a screamer. He looks very stoic. He's pulled some emotion back he looks like an adult. I was wrong on Dan Campbell. I don't mind being wrong on Dan Campbell because he looks like the nicest guy in the world. He literally looks like of all the coaches in the NFL, if ye'd have a beer with one, he wins that he would win first, second, and third. Dan Campbell. Tip of the cap to you in the organization. Now keep Ben Johnson. Pay whatever you gotta pay him. Keate Ben Johnson. Where Colin was right, I said the Miami Dolphins would make the playoffs, but at the end of the year we would be asking the questions, is it TWOA or Mike McDaniel is I've always had my reservations about a quarterback that's small, doesn't have a power arm, not overly athletic, and has been banged up in college in the pros. This season for the Dolphins turned out largely exactly what I thought. They'd sneak into the playoffs because New England does has no feel for offense. But in the end, you're going to be sitting there going what do we do? Extension for Tuah? I don't think you can. I think you have to have adult conversations. But they got in and for that where we're right, Where Colin was right and my number one right was the Minnesota Vikings. They won eight last year. I said, I thought they could be a fourteen win team. They won thirteen. I said, I liked the higher Kevin O'Connell. Kirk Cousins is the I a guy that needs support. Mike Zimmer and Kirk Cousins didn't get along, and because of it, they lost virtually every close game. This year, they won virtually every close game. So kirk Cousins with fifth in touchdown passes, fourth in passing yards, we picked them to win the division. We picked them to win it easily. We picked them to win the close games they lost last year. That's probably as good a pick as we had. I thought they'd win fourteen games. I thought they I thought they were gonna when I looked at their schedule. You start looking at their schedule. If they had any semblance of like a run defense, they could have won like fifteen games. Like they got blasted twice by teams that could run the football. Green Bay ran all over them, Dallas runs. So Minnesota is now, I think they're gonna get beat by the Giants. I think they have a totally low ceiling and they get beat by the Giants. All right, Albert Breer is now joining us Monday morning quarterback, leave guy for them, all right. So Kingsbury's fired, Love, He's fired. So here was my theory on Arizona. Jay McK and I disagree, is that we know since Brady left New England that if you have a great quarterback and you have a great coach, it's still a sixty forty sixty five thirty five quarterbacks. More important than the coach is that Kyler Murray can drive me crazy, but he's the star and he was elevating and then he and Kingsbury and the GM don't get along. As much as it pains me to say it, I gotta go. I gotta go find a GM and a coach to get along with Kyler Murray. He's the franchise. So are you shocked by the move? Well, I mean the problem is, and you know so many these owners have more money than they know what's to do with. But you can get out of a coach contract by stroking a check. You can get out of a GM contract by stroking a check. It doesn't work that way with quarterback contracts, and you know, both in Arizona and Denver, you know, for everything that happen and over the last four months in those two places, those franchises have hitched their wagons logistically, financially, you know, all of it is connected to the quarterback and so you know, that's the one piece that you can't move off of after you do one of these contracts, and so they have to find a way to make it work with Kyler Murray. And that's why I think there's a likelihood near Arizona that we see internal promotions. You know, they have a couple of guys in their personnel department. One is a name that everybody knows, and Adrian Wilson Quentin Harris is another who's been there forever. I think those two guys wind up running the football operation. I think there's a good chance, Colin, that they wind up just promoting Vans Joseph because Vans Joseph has head coaching experience and he's got a good relationship with Kyler and so I don't know if it's going to be a total shake up here, but you know, whatever happens, I think you're right to think that they have to find a way to get the quarterback right because he's the one person in that organization that they are logistically hitched to and that sort of why. Okay, so I had said this Brandon Staley, I think when you're young and smart, and I think he's both and inexperienced, he's all three. I don't think he's a dummy. He's a smart guy. But sometimes you're learning on the job. Could have been your first reporting job, my first brought You're learning on the job. So he comes into the NFL with very little experience as a head coach, and yesterday I felt like, dude, you didn't play guys in preseason. Why are you playing Bosa, Derwin James, Mike Williams, injury prone guys in a game that doesn't matter. Let's say they go to Jacksonville, Mike Williams can't play and they get rolled. Sean Payton's hanging out there, I know. I mean, come on, Albert this if he gets rolled and Mike doesn't play, what do you do you? I mean, I look like I connect you know, Chargers to Dallas too, Like I think those two are are places where people have their eyes on him and saying like, if things don't go well in the first round, could this go the other way? And I think Brandon Staley has done a good job in LA with the Chargers. I think Mike McCarthy has done a really good job on balance with the Cowboys this year and winning without the quarterback for a month and replacing the left tackle for three months with a rookie. I think both those guys have done good jobs. But I think both those franchises, for different reasons, are in a spot where they want to win right now. For Dallas is about the core that they have, yea for the Chargers about the quarterback and are we getting enough out of the quarterback? And we're gonna have to pay him soon and things are gonna change for us after we pay our quarterback. And we've got all these players who are writ in the prime of their careers. And then you look at this situation and again, I think Brandon Staley over the first two years has showing a ton of promis as a head coach. The problem that he has here is Mike Williams is a guy who's been hurt and not only has he been hurt, he's had back issues. Yeah, so for this particular injury to flare up in this way, and then Bosa goes down, and Bosa is another guy who's had injuries. And so it's not just the idea of resting guys, because I think I think most of us would agree, Like, if you're not playing as well as you think you should be playing at the end of the year, yeah, I can see why you'd want to keep playing so you can get up to the level you think you're gonna need to be at for the playoffs. But you know, if you do have guys with extensive injury history, and Mike Williams and Joey Bosa do have extensive injury history and then they get hurt, you know, I can see why you would be on the hook that, especially when you know sitting there between behind door number two maybe for both of those teams could be one of the greatest greatest coaches in this generation. Okay, So I said this, if you do something once in life, anybody can make a mistake. If you do something twice, it's a little troubling. If three times it's it's what you are right. And so Aaron Rodgers last three seasons, he has been out played in the fourth quarter at Lambo by an old Brady Garoppolo and Jared Goff. Now I can say, well Brady had the better this and Goff had the better coordinate Lambo at home. Aaron doesn't play well. And I don't want to pick on Aaron, but I don't know if his timeline matches up with Green Bay's time. I look at his box score last night. Yeah, Jordan Love could do that. I met seventeen first downs. Jordan Love could do that. This is a good roster. And here's the other thing, Albert, one of the two of the few things they need another tight end, another one and another receiver. Well, Aaron doesn't work out with them in the off season. So it's like, if you're not gonna because I think they need another edge rusher. But my takeaway is what they need he needs to work with. That's not the new erin right, They're to forth in the road right now. Um, you know, honestly, Colin, this is nut cutting time with with with Jordan Love. After the third year, you've got to make a decision on the fifth year option and that those fifth year options are now fully guaranteed. And that's the twenty five to thirty million dollar decision for twenty twenty four. That's sitting there for the Packers. So you know, really, at this point with Jordan Love, it's either we're going forward with Aaron Rodgers for the next year or two, or we're detaching him. We're going with Jordan Love him. We're picking up that option, and we're seeing where this goes. And you know, you look at some of the other players in that team and the guys that they've had to pay. They just paid Gyre Alexander. His cap numbers are gonna go up. They just paid Elkton Jenkins, his cap numbers go up. Vershawn Gary is going to be very expensive to keep. Now. I know he's coming off a torn acl but he's been a great young player for them and looks like he's going to get even better. And you do see this group that could grow around a young quarterback with guys like Christian Watson and Romeo Dobbs. So I don't think this is a simple straight line decision for the Packers. If you ask me right now fifty one forty nine, I think Rogers decides to come back for one year. I think they have him back for one more year. But this is not a simple decision, and a big piece of it is because Jordan Love has shown some progress over the last year or so, and you're at a fork at the fork in the road with him contractually. Okay, So Love, he's out, Cliff Kingsbury's out, Matt Rule already got fired. So we're three down. The average is seven or eight. Tell me, give me a name in the next four or five days, you think, don't they call us like black Monday? This is the day guys get fired? So is there another name out there? We should be kind of hovering around? So we have five right now? It's actually Denver, Indianapolis, right, that's right, and then Arizona and Hughton. I think New Orleans is okay. Right, five, you're right. I think Miami's okay. Um Chargers and Cowboys, I would say, pending the first round of the playoffs, I think they're probably all right. You hear a little bit on Tampa two, Like, if Tampa doesn't look good in the first round of playoffs, I think that they've been planning on making staff changes. Does that go all the way to the top, you know? I think Todd Bowles after one year deserves another shot, but I think that's another one that you could be looking at, you know. And then there are other places, you know, like New England, like Cleveland already made a staff change there, um, you know, New Orleans, like we're I think you're going to see more changes down the line on staff and so, you know, the reality of it is right now, you know. I think because of the expanded playoff field, we're seeing teams get into the playoffs that maybe wouldn't have gotten into the playoffs in the past, right and there are different routes to get into the playoffs now, and so I think just getting into playoffs is seeing a little bit differently than it used to be seen, and so it's just gonna be interesting. I just think, you know, teams like the Chargers and Cowboys and buccane Years, I think they have to show well in the first round of the Plaff's not saying they have to win in advance, but I think they have to show well in the first round of the playoffs to be completely saved. Albert Brear good stuff. So that's thanks, buddy, I appreciate it. So we've got Matt Rule's gone. It's hard to keep tracks seriously, so love he's got fired yesterday, Cliff today, Frank Wright, who I just texted with the other day, great guy Nathaniel had forgot about that was so Nathaniel had, So we're at five. The only one he didn't mention is I think n Rivera and Washington, what's going on there? I think that's you got to start over these defensive coaches. The only uncertainty is I saw Daniel Snyder was not at the Washington season finale. Kind of we there's an ownership situation going on. Boy. Here's the thing though, So last night's a standalone game. The entire NFL world, every owner, every GM is watching Ben Johnson put on a clinic. I mean that those last two drives for Detroit were esthetically a masterpiece. Every GM in the league is like, that's our guy. Did you see how confounded Green Bay's defense looked like they didn't know what was coming to see how frustrated they got when they pushed a Lion's coach and a cheap shot to the running back. Every GM in the league is watching that, and so we got Sean Payton's out there, Harbaughs out there. I'm telling you, Ben Johnson's performance last night was take a step back that Like, if I'm Tampa, I know everybody likes Byron Leftwich. If I'm Indianapolis and I know I have limitations, Boy, Ben Johnson becomes unbelievably attractive. But at what point does Ben Johnson look in the mirror and say, holy hell, look at that. I got one of the best end of lines on the league. Jimmison Williams full season with Shark and Saint Brown. No, I mean they trade their tight end and then he's thrown to tight ends we've never heard of. But he's thirty six years old. He's never gotten the bag. If somebody comes up and gives you forty large, it's hard to say no. It's tough to say no to these. We always call it, you know, overreaction Monday when you get these standalone games and Ben Johnson literally put on a coaching clinic for the last twenty five minutes of that game. I ant was slick by the way. Wow, I don't know if you've forgot this, but Jets Lions. The Lions had fourth and inches and they run a play that the Jets defenders say, we watched all their tape We've never seen them run that play this season. It was to a tight end that nobody'd heard of. He goes fifty yards for the touchdown. Ben Johnson always was dialing up the good stuff. We're really one of the great stories in the NFL this year. I've never heard of the guy before this season, never heard of him, and he's been dominant. So we're down. Now, what do we five coaches already fired? Yes? Five? Usually we get what seven to eight? So I think he's right. If Brandon Staley gets rolled, I make a change. I'm not here to get coaches fire. But Mike McCarthy, we haven't really talked about him. Also Sean McVay, which is beyond straight. Let me ask you this. I got a question with McBay. I'll ask him the other side. Remind me of this. I got a question about that. There's gotta be an inside little mystery here. I got a question with the Rams. I'll ask you after the break. One more heard. The Herd streams twenty four hours a day, seven days a week within the iHeartRadio app. Search Herd to listen live or on demand whenever you'd like. Gonna be interesting to watch Brady so Brady yesterday finished the season with four hundred and ninety completions. That's an NFL record. The previous mark was four hundred and eighty five, set by himself last year. So this team can't run the football at all this year. They have a coach who doesn't feel like an elite coach. Their offensive line fell apart in training camp, and Tom got him in the playoffs, so he has more than enough ability to keep playing. I think the three things that attract Tom at this point a smart offensive head coach and weapons. Vegas Niners. Dolphins feel like the spot for me. And those are good quality lifestyles Bay Area, Las Vegas, Miami. Tom not going to go to Indianapolis at this point. Two big of a star. It's like Shack left Orlando. There are certain places Tom works, I mean the very beginning of Tampa, he's having to practice in the high school stadium, he walks into the wrong house in a neighborhood. I think Vegas feels right. A lot of weapons, offensive coach Josh McDaniels, Miami feels right. He's already in the state, doesn't want to move his kids, maybe out west. And I think Vegas feels very right because of stories that have broken. And what's interesting about the Raiders here is if they trade Derek Carr, and they do it here pretty quickly, you know, around Valentine's Day, and they can say, let's say get a second or a third. The Raiders already have a first, a second, a third, a fourth. I think have a couple of fifths. If they can get a second and a fourth, whatever you get for him, you've got a lot of picks. You can solve that defense. Seattle solved their old line and running game and a draft and their corners. So the Vegas thing is very, very interesting. They've got a lot of draft capital, could have even more with there at Car. But when Brady left New England, the question was age, Well, he's still old and we know he can play old. And the second thing was, well, how much is Belichick? How much is Well, he's not reluctant, he's not relying upon Belichick. Belichick relied on Brady much more than Brady relied clearly on Belichick. So I think Miami, Niners, Vegas, all you can make an argument makes sense. Here's Jamack with the news, No no turns. This is the Herd Line News. We didn't talk about this yet, but the Buffalo Bills Patriots game kicked off Sunday PM game and nine Hines took it to the house. I don't know about you. I got goosebumps as this was happening. I was like, is this real? And then afterward Josh Allen of course, talking about the Damar Hamlin injury situation and the opening kickoff return, here's what the quarterback said, you what the truth? It was spiritual. It really was, um bone chilling like it was. It was special. I can't remember a play that touched me like that, and I don't think in my life, so it's it's probably number one. Just something I was going around my team is saying, God's real, Like you can't. You can't draw that one up, right, that one up any better? Um? And I was just told by Kevin Kurrant it's been three years and three months since the last kickoff return. So pretty cool. Wow, that's above pretty cool moment of the year in the NFL. I thought to me, I'm sitting there going you have I mean, Jim Nance is like, this is story book. It's just the craziest thing, and it's just like right here you thought they had angles on him. It's like he had that extra burst from a bob. Just everybody had an angle on him, and he pulled away and remembers look at that look at McDermott. Can you imagine being in that stadium in that moment. He's Oh my gosh, they brought on hims before the trade deadline. He was. In addition, I know we talked a lot about Christian McCaffrey, but how about that one picking up Nai Hnes who takes back two kicks in the most pivotal game of the season here to close out, and he's kind of a pass catching running bat, good third down guy. Yeah, great pickup, great moment. Congrats to the Bills, looking forward to their playoff run. Next up, Chicago Bears lost, Texans won, and the Bears now have the first overall pick. Obviously, you talked about it a little earlier. What will they do with that pick? Well, according a Fox bet, they're likely to trade it. Yes, the odds are currently set at minus three hundred five. Also as Bryce Young as the best odds to have the number one pick. So it's interesting what could you get for, like, let's say for in like they could certainly use will Anderson, but it's the Bears. Their offense is a mass. Their defense isn't good either. So there's an argument that you just take will Anderson if nobody is But I think the cults are desperate. The franchise is a mess, So I think Indianapolis. But what does Indianapolis have to give now Quenton Nelson a bad year? Like I'm Chicago, I don't just want I was told this years ago by a GM you don't just want picks because thirty percent of first round picks with So if you gave me, if you moved up and gave me, you know, I get your first year, you gave me next year's number one, and this year I got a second and a fourth. I don't know what you get. I don't know what the conversation is. But I want a starter, Like if I go to the Raiders and they and they move off, I want Hunter Renfro. I want a slot receiver because now I got Claypool, Hunter Renfrew, Renfro, Mooney, Cole Commet. So now I'm not saying it's great, but I don't have to rely on a college kid coming in because justin fields as much as we all like him. If next year's a met conversations upstairs, get uncomfortable about moving off. This isn't Chicago fans aren't gonna want to like to hear this. But what the Bears need to do is make it sound like they're not sold on fields, that hey, we will take a quarterback number one if you don't trade up. So I think they need to sound like their options are open. We know they like fields, I mean, you've got to like them a lot after what you saw, but you need to make it seem like you want to draft a quarterback number one. So Houston moves up well does Indeed, you also have teams now you're not going tonywhere Jarrett Stidham and Brady's got multiple options, so the Raiders may find out very quickly. Tom's not coming here. Indianapolis have to do it, so you do have Now The downside is you have two quarters. You have three actually that can play. Bryce Young looks like the most ready to play now, but he comes very small things. You were Alabama quarterbacks all look great. Can they play with the best college player? It's weird if the two injuries don't happen. I think Young is slam dunk to go first because we've seen smaller quarterbacks Russell Wilson do well. I would personally go see j Strout. I'll I do mock drafts for Fox sports dot Com. I'll have Stroud number one. I have to I can't go Bryce Young number I just that game against Stroud against Georgia was incredible against a top flight defense. I thought he looked great. Yeah. Final story Colin, Arizona Cardinals. They parted ways with Cliff Kingsbury this morning, less than a year ago. He's signed an extension through twenty twenty seven. They also announced that GM Steve Kim will not return as GM. Listen, we had a little spirited debate about this earlier, like is this a good job Kyler Murray? Colin, have you looked at how many free agents they have on this team? Good? I can rebuild it with what a broken quarterback in Kyler Murray. He had his worst season or a pro. I know he got hurt, but the way Aaron Donald got after him in that playoff game last year, remember he was basically pulling the Roberto Duran No Moss, I don't want to go back in. At the end of the game, Aaron Donald was roughing him up. This is a guy who does not want to get hit. He did not want to run this season. Colin, Are you sure that's the guy you want to build around in Arizona? Well, I don't have a choice, so I'm gonna build around him. I'm gonna go I said this earlier Aaron Rodgers won the Mike McCarthy tiff, and they got rid of the coach. Today they would get rid of Aaron over Matt laclour. I believe a quarterback gets one coach to run through and blame it him, right, so you can Kyler's gonna be like, I need a new coach. I need a time out on that. You say the quarterback gets to make the decision, Well, what has Kyler done? Turn three straight years? He got better, He got him into the playoffs. I would agree they did not want in a tough division. Well, let's get somebody into the playoffs. A year ago, when Derek Carr had been around for eight years but never won a playoff game with the Raiders, should he have had some input on who the next coach is? Yes, okay, he had been to the playoffs, never won a game in eight years. He's now out a year later. So now you're saying Kyler, do your think what do you think locked into a huge Kyler deal? They weren't, you know, the Raiders weren't locked in the car. So some of this is just situational. Some of its contraction. Well, I'm locked into him. I don't have a choice, but I do think you make it very clear. Okay, you got this coach in this GM whact. Okay, fine, we're bringing in new guys five year deals. You make it work, or we're trading you to Houston. We're trading you somewhere. Listen, Kinder, I don't have to love every situation, but sometimes I have to own certain situations because they're contractually where I'm at. And so I think Arizona has no choice but to find somebody that works for Kyler's Listen, Ben Johnson, Ben Johnson backwards. It has to be somebody Kyler is gonna want to listen to the way Bruce Arians when he was there, ruled with an iron fist. Tom Brady had so much issues with Arians in Tampa. It ended up working out. And guess what they want? A super Bowl. Sometimes you need that iron fist and a culture change. I don't Hardball would be the guy I would take. Though he's not touching. That's out no, I'm saying, but Hardball works there because hardball builds a physical team, and Hardball be like listen, I'll use him for two years, but he's not my future. He didn't even like to get hit. I can see hardback coming in. I would give Harball five year deal like our Arizona Harball works for me, say Jim, like a lot of Northerners, we got warm weather down here. Come down here. I'll give you a five year, no cut deal. I'll give you twenty million a year or whatever. We're gonna become whatever you want us to be, Jim. For about a year and a half. Unfortunately, this is what we have at quarterback, a non physical player, because Harball wants his guys physical. But I think the harbuy Arizona thing and let Jim do some GM and as well, let Jim have a real saying personnel. I want to put out there. The DeAndre Hopkins contract. There's an out. Yeah, this offseason, they gotta pay Kyler big, big, big money. Keeping out DeAndre Hopkins could be the receiver like AJ Brown who hit the market. Remember the Tyreek Hill hit the market. Keep an eye on a trade for DeAndre Hopkins. J Mack with the News. By the way, when are you shaving the Seahawks logo into your head? We have a date. We're looking for a bar. It will be it's coming up here. It's gonna be very exciting. Not as exciting as your hat backwards, but yes, the Seahawks logo. By the way, do you know what I mean? People texted me on the doink the kick. I thought for a moment, Oh my gosh, is it Do you remember that? Did you see? It was a loud doink? Two? Felt like to be honest, you would kind of wish the Detroit Lions were in the playoffs over Seattle and Gino Smith. Oh come on, I mean, you know, I know you're from Seattle. I know. But Detroit was fun. Detroit's a fun team. Be sure to catch live editions of The Herd weekdays and noon Easter nine Ampacific on Fox Sports Radio FS one and the iHeart Radio app. Ahi. This is Jay Glazer, and you may know me for the world of football, or fighting or even shows like HBO's Ballers. Well you don't know is for my entire life. I have lived in something I refer to as the gray depression anxiety. So now I'm coming out with a new podcast, Unbreakable, a mental health podcast with Jay Glazer where each week, well we talk about mental health. I hope to describe it, give it words. Listen to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Ten years in the league, multiple Pro Bowls, a Super Bowl, well seven of those years with the Packers, some with far but now Aaron Rodgers and aaron third straight season ended at home with a clunker, with him being outplayed by Jared Goff, Jimmy Garoppolo and an old Brady. After the game, he had a lot of different comments, you know Aaron, well some of it. He's kind of gotten into this manifesting thing and you know whatever, to each their own. He puts it out there. When you heard his comments, is your reaction he's coming back or not. My reaction was kind of like, here we go again. And the Packers are in the situation where they're going to have another offseason where they're waiting on the head nod from Aaron Rodgers, whether it be yay or nay. I'm coming back to see what their future is going to be moving forward. Look, this is something that they know that they're going to be up against each and every year if he does decide to come back because of where he is in his career. And they they ended the year well as far as winning some games. They didn't end the year the way that they would have hoped. But in my opinion, I don't know if we do see Aaron Rodgers back, but if if there are any takers for a trade, I don't think he retires. I don't think he retires. I just I don't think he's gonna just walk away from the game. And we'll see if there's some takers on a trade to see if Aaron Rodger goes elsewhere. But I think he ends up back in Green Bay. If not, Oakland is a place that I've I've mentioned that I think that he would entertain Jordan Love last two times i've seen him, looks like he can play. They now have old line was fine. Defense could probably use an edge rusher, but they're fine. They'll probably draft another tight end and a receiver. He'll have an offseason Jordan Love to work with it from your sourcing from guys in the building, is there at least now a belief in the building that Jordan Love is a starter? How good we don't know, but he is a starter? Do you believe that's a belief in the building. Yeah, that's definitely a belief in the building. And you see it with the guys you kind of here coming out with some of the people inside the building. Look, they wanted to see what Jordan Love was going to provide them, but they mathematically had a chance to make the playoffs and they almost did that, So I can understand why they were able to stick with Aaron Rodgers. But now you're in a sticky situation because you don't really know who Jordan Love is. You only know him from a practice perspective, and from the reps that he did get this year, he looked comparable, like pretty formidable, Like he looked if he were the starter, he could get some things done or be at least as good as what Aaron Rodgers was this year. Now, obviously the experience isn't there, so I don't want to compare him to Aaron Rodgers at all. But he looked a lot better, a lot more poised, like he commands the huddle, like he can make some of those throws and check out of some of the plays that he needs to check into. I liked what I saw in Jordan Loft. By the way, Aaron is not spending the season like a Mahomes, Alan Burrow, Herbert Trevor Lawrence. He's he's not committed to the off season. They're going to draft another receiver in a tight end. It's one of their few needs. A lot of people saying they'll go get Jordan Addison first round. It's a great year for tight end, second and third round. But he's not going to work with him in the off season. Or do you believe Aaron will come back. He'll say listen, I'll come back, and they'll say, we'll take you back, but you gotta commit to the off season because we're going to get receivers in tight ends. Is that a conversation you think they'd have with Aaron be comfortable with having with him. Well, I don't know if it's a conversation that they would have. I think it's a conversation that they should have with us all witnessing what transpired this year and how long it took for the cotton uity to develop, in the chemistry to develop between he and the young receivers. That was always an out. That was always something that was going to be an excuse the relationship, the chemistry not there in a large part of that was missed because of there being no Aaron Rodgers in the off season. So if you don't want to entertain that again. Obviously he's developed some rapport with those guys now, but if you bring in some other young guys, you're gonna have to go through the same thing all over again. But again, he's he's earned the right. I'm not gonna sit here and act like he hasn't earned the right to pick and choose if he goes back for an off season, because it's a long season. It's a lot of wear and tear, and he's asked to do a lot, and he should be with the price tag. That's that's on him as a Green Bay packer, all right. Greg jennings On after us, First things first, one hour and fifteen minutes from right now, he's in New York City, goes to Jenny Gregg thank you always the pleasure you bet so I you know, we'll see I think it's feel you know, Green Bay has not had the courage to step up and take control of the relationship. But you know, as he's a talented employee and he's got some leverage. Tonight's Georgia TCU. I like Georgia. I think TCU sort of emptied the emotional bag against Michigan. Michigan kind of ignored them, rolled their eyes at them. That's very powerful. Now they have to in a week go back give out a performance against the Georgia team that I think is significantly more talented than Michigan. I think they met their match. I think it's a great season. I'll take Georgia. I saw Georgia play live against Missouri and struggled. I saw him a little bit against Kentucky. They struggled. I thought Ohio State was the better team and outplayed them. So I've seen bad Georgia. I don't think I think they'll win tonight, but I think it's lower scoring in defense on both sides is better tonight. I will say this. I saw a lot of tea see you fans in the South Bay here in La this week a lot. I don't know if they're gonna have like a sixty forty crowd advantage, but it feels like there could be some edge maybe for the horn Frogs on that front. I don't know. Georgia don't fall behind early. I'll just say that, you know, TCU, they got a decent ground game. We both like Max Duggan. Yeah, I mean that Max Duggan feels like a second or third round NFL quarterback. They have a star receiver or first round receiver. They got good skill people, sunny dyke, They'll score. George is not as dominating as last year. Ohio State receivers gave Georgia fit. Ohio State was the better team for three and a half hours. The best receiver in college football dominated them until you got by the way. May may not be a buckheh next year. Are we gonna get into those USC rumors? Uh No, but real quick though. You know, when you look at the Georgia defense, they've been hearing all week that they're a joke and they're overrated. They may they may have their performance of the year quite possibly. Yeah. Jalen Carter, by the way, who looked huffet and puffet on the defensive line line. About this thirty four, thirty seven one three, How about that? I put the total right at sixty, right at the under. Yeah, I like that. That's my guess. George and the unders that's in Bennett. What a winner, so clutch. Yeah, George is the winner. Hour three next
