Ramaepe Lovelle NOGE better known as “Dosto” started working for DET in January 1993 as a teacher in Orange Farms at Aha-Thuto Secondary.
In June 1995 Dosto got an opportunity to work for SABC 1 marketing division as the Promotions Manager.
The 19 years he spent at the SABC gave his the opportunity to be exposed to various forms of performing arts.
Dosto did a lot of freelance work between 1989 and 2004 as a presenter, actor, producer and director in the broadcasting environment.
The exposure he got in the television world, made him develop an interest in Event productions and management.
March 2004 to November 2005 T.Musicman appointed him as Public Relations Officer mainly to liaise with all the Jazz foundations across the country, and to co-ordinate music workshops for young aspiring musicians for both Jo’burg Jazz International and local jazz festivals.
I worked as a freelancer for a number of organizations including S’konyana Productions and Pebo Productions to conceptualize and co-ordinate events for various government departments in the Gauteng province and private sector.
Events that I coordinated include sports events, both outdoor and indoor, Gala dinners, launches and award ceremonies.
My life journey was never smooth nor perfect, but like any South African I pushed on.
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
I am Married with three amazing kids (they all have ID`s), and slowly I am reaching my sell by date and that motivates me further.
Ke Zaka is his current show on SABC 2, it has certainly opened a new world for me.
