Charity organisation Gift of the Givers has been assisting the community of Makhanda, in the Eastern Cape, gain access to water since 2019 and continues to do so until this day as the town still faces a water crisis. Since then, the organization has drilled 11 boreholes, and delivers water tankers on a daily basis as schools, clinics, hospital and overall communities around the town are dependent on the water tankers.
