On Saturday, 8 February 2025, the Soweto Theatre will come alive with the celebration of South Africa's rich musical legacy when renowned guitarist, composer, and cultural visionary Billy Monama presents the 4th edition of his critically acclaimed concert series, Back to the Future: The 30 Years of SA Democracy.

Supported by the National Arts Council, this one-night concert is more than just music—it’s a powerful journey through three decades of democracy, told through the universal language of music. Combining South Africa's historical rhythms with Monama's personal 28-year artistic journey, the event offers an evening of reflection, unity, and hope.

With its masterful blend of music, storytelling, and art, Back to the Future has become one of South Africa's most anticipated cultural events. Curated and directed by Monama, this year’s edition holds special significance, marking the 30th anniversary of South Africa's democracy.
