Welcome to Worth The Hype?!, our brand-spanking-new, snack-sized series where we deep-dive into whatever’s having a major moment in the zeitgeist and ask the million-dollar question: is it actually worth all the fuss?

First up, our favourite manic pixie dream boy, Troye Sivan, and his new album, She’s The Best. BB and Lu have VERY opposing views.

Is the best kind of new hairstyle a spontaneous one? What was your high school email address, and what does it say about you as a person? And Jay-Z has seemingly given himself the Super Bowl halftime show, which has us wondering: what would WE like to give ourselves? We urgently need to talk about millennial icon and the new patron saint of The Fifth Trimester, Jennifer Lawrence, who's been dishing out some seriously Fifth Trimester-coded revelations. We're making a case for Halloween being the best day of the year. From our fave celeb costumes to our own Halloween shindig, and why the heck is Gen Alpha suddenly dressing up as Soulja Boy?! Plus, our INs and OUTs include a genius budget holiday hack, and we're asking if celeb lookalike competitions have officially jumped the shark?

Haemorrhoids, Upper Blephs & Soulja Boy - Oh My!

Your live music correspondents, Lu and BB, had the pleasure of heading to the Pussy Palace to see the one and only Lily Allen perform her divorce-anthem album, West End Girl, in Sydney this week. Powerful, poignant, and more a one-woman theatrical Broadway show than a concert, Lily knocked our frilly socks off. And, on a personal note, it was a very healing, full-circle moment for BB after her infamous run-in with the British singer in 2014.
