Featured track info and artist bios:

I Have this Memory of You by Parissa Tosif
Iranian-Australian vocalist, songwriter, and producer Parissa Tosif has always straddled two worlds. Long navigating the luminous pulse of modern pop with the spiritual inheritance of her Iranian ancestry, this album captures her journey to reconnect with a heritage she has only known in fragments.
What began as a collection of stories from family and friends who were refugees and migrants, she blended their lived experiences with her own reflections through songwriting.
Inspired by stories of revolution, love, loss, and the complexities of diasporic identity, charged with curiosity and reverent restoration. The result is a shimmering, intimate portrait of identity with the question of ‘who and what has made me who I am?’

Take Me to the River from the album Lived Experience by Saint Ergo
A Baroque Pop memoir that explores the personal stories that touch on trans gender expression, queerness, abuse, relationships, parenthood and caring. The music is a wide, filmic experience with dense arrangements and features the powerfully beautiful vocals of Joanna Jones. This is a deeply personal album and the goal has been to create and release something that could have been recorded in the best studios while capturing the essence of home.
Artist Quote: "A common thread emerged as Lived Experience came together. Every song appeared to be about acknowledging a pain, an injury, an injustice, a regret or even a desire but then finding a path to some form of acceptance or celebration. It is at its heart, unashamedly catharsis, pages ripped from a diary and laid bare within beauty."

Two Hands” by Pond
This song is about when mining company Rio Tinto blew up Juukun Gorge in the Hammersley Range in Western Australia. They destroyed sacred rock shelters that were of the highest archaeological, cultural and spiritual significance. The rock shelters contained a cultural sequence spanning 46, 000 years that had been taken care of by the local Indigenous communities. I was wondering how the commentators around this country would've reacted if the shoe was on the other foot and someone had demolished the Vatican or Notre Dame or St. Paul’s because it was in the way of their corporate expansion. Anyway, its a little word of encouragement that you’ve got every right to be very f-ing angry about this injustice.

Chase Your Tail by BOY SODA
ARIA winner BOY SODA, speaking on this new track, said, “‘Chase Your Tail’ is about the loops and cycles we find ourselves in, and habits that people refuse to break. Everyone is chasing a dragon's tail in some form and I think it's interesting when we, as humans, have to go through multiple repeats of lessons before we understand those experiences fully.

Petals from the album BIG DREAM BABY by Justine Eltakchi
BIG DREAM BABY is the debut album from songwriter Justine Eltakchi, inspired by her family’s post–World War II migration to Australia and her upbringing across Port Stephens, Newcastle and regional NSW. Across the record, she reflects on identity, womanhood, belonging and the inherited memories that shape who we become.

Afar by Ngaiire
Boundary-pushing Papua New Guinean/Australian artist Ngaiire describes this track as a world that was conjured up in our happy place - just jamming. It’s not attached to anything. When the song started to take form it sounded like that limerence dream state you can get to doing everyday menial things like your laundry or grocery shopping. It’s delicious, dark and desperate but also intoxicating to the point that an overcast day can appear like a kaleidoscope
of possibilities. It feels like where the heart drifts but the body stays. It’s the longing in stillness and it’s in the nothing interesting happens externally but very much internally.”
